Growing infection- part 2
aliciaf1983 asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch2730 "Growing infection" where Snowing take care of Emma along with her and Neal's punishments.
"So, uh, how bad were they?" Emma asked her little brother sheepishly. He had been brought up to visit Emma, who was having to stay in for a couple of nights to try and drain her finger before she went home. She did feel bad that she had to rat Neal out in the end. She knew it had been an accident. So did their parents, but at the end of the day, they'd both done something that could have resulted in something a lot more serious than an infected finger. Neal shrugged.
"Grounded for two weeks without any videogames. Could have been worse." Neal commented. Emma couldn't help but agree.
"I'm grounded until the finger heals, which Whale reckons will take about two weeks until it's good as new." Emma told him. She decided not to mention that she hadn't received any add-ons, although it wasn't like she was getting any videogames or any good TV while she stayed in hospital." Plus, she was getting the full brunt of both their parents' overprotectiveness. Emma sighed as they came back with some snacks from the canteen for them both. Emma reached for her bag of pretzels, but her mom held out a latex glove first. Emma scowled.
"They make the pretzels taste funny." She complained.
"You have three options. Option one being the glove. Option two being using your left hand, which you claim is too complicated. Option three, as you very well know, is your dad or I feeding them to you. I'm sorry, Emma, but I don't want any salt or other crumbs getting into the wound." Emma rolled her eyes.
"My finger is bandaged up pretty tight. I can't see the crumbs seeping through." Emma grumbled.
"Emma." Charming warned her. "Less of the nonsense. It could stain the bandage and cause problems that way, smarty pants. You know your three options. We could always take them back…"
"No." Emma whined. The hospital food wasn't exactly Granny's standard. Emma was even beginning to miss her mom's vegetables, not that she would ever admit that. "Fine, left handed it is." Snow grumbled. Snow opened the packet and placed it on Emma's bed tray. She sighed, taking the first one out. She felt like Neal had got the better deal out of his punishment, and she was the one who'd been injured!
