New situations- part 2
CharmingsDaughter asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch2729 "New situations" where Snowing and the kids have a conversation about the previous night. They then give Emma looser rules than the twins. It causes sibling rivalry.
Sorry guys. I had hoped to put out more chapters today, but I was babysitting for a lot longer than I thought and I got a surge of late requests!
Emma shifted nervously on the couch. She knew her parents wouldn't let the incidents of the previous evening slip. She felt so stupid for pushing everyone that far. Why hadn't she just talked to them about how she was feeling? Now she was having to sit in some stupid family meeting to discuss what had happened.
"Ok, so your dad and I have spoken to Emma privately about her behaviour yesterday." Snow said calmly. Which was true. Not long after Emma was up, her parents had come into her room and had a discussion with her about how rashly she had acted and had given her an appropriate punishment. Although they both felt it was also needed to address the situation as a family.
"Emma is aware of the ramifications of her actions. We don't need to go into that now. However, your mom and I think it's important that we all respect that we all played a part in Emma coming of the rails. Emma, we respect that you had a different upbringing from your siblings. As such, we know we need to take things a little slower. So, when you're ungrounded, you can have half an hour of free time after school before coming home. Although you are not to go anywhere outside of the public eye, or, hang around with older children." Charming explained. Emma was surprised by that. Meanwhile, her siblings were horrified.
"That's not fair!" Caleb shouted. "We don't get that. We've got to come straight home and do our homework before we can do anything fun. We're older than her. How come she gets to bunk off?"
"Because she hasn't been with us all that long." Snow said calmly. "It's a big adjustment for Emma to make. We're asking her to make a lot of changes at once. Try and see it all from her point of view." Snow asked Caleb and Marali. They seemed less than pleased. Charming and Snow knew they would both receive some backlash from their older children, and they might even be grumpy with Emma (the growlers she was receiving from them both were testament to that). But they knew it was the right path to take. They didn't want to risk Emma going off and doing something stupid again. Even if it meant Caleb and Marali being in a huff with them for a while.
