A waiting game
Oncefan123 asked for a oneshot of something for Snowing and Emma based around the song "On my way" by Boyce Avenue.
Guest: Oh my goodness you've gave me a right laugh this morning, cheers :L. Apparently I've to speak on behalf of all Charming family fanfic writers, we're truly sorry that you hate us "hyoocrites" (a new favourite word of mine). We're sorry you feel we only "clsim" to love the Charming family. Perhaps you missed the bit in the chapter where Snow didn't know Emma had done something she shouldn't have? Might have cleared things up for you. Well, if you hate us all so much, I suggest a way to channel that anger might be to stop reading our stories and write your own? After all, you don't want to be reading the work of a bunch of "hyoocrites" :L.
Now part 2, the severe daddy Charming hater reviewer (assuming you're not the same person who just really badly wants attention). You're all aware we writers communicate, right? We know when one person is going round all our stories trolling. I do find mama Snow easier to write, but (despite what some people feel the need to share their opinions on) I don't hate daddy Charming, I love their dynamic too. This story is a save haven for all Charming family lovers to share their requests. I won't let hatred for any part of the family destroy that.
JRocks: Sorry, I don't watch Flash!
PowerMan: Do you mean like thinks he's a randomer called Jared Gilmore, or believes himself to be an actor and everything too?
Grace: Sorry, but all chapters must have a conversation/connection between at least 2 of the characters tagged in the story plus baby Neal.
So leave a space deep inside for everything I'll miss
Cause I'm on my way, on my way.
They both came at things from two equally painful perspectives. Snow always knew she would be reunited with her daughter. She had faith that her baby girl would break the curse when she was twenty eight, as she was destined to do. But part of that hope meant accepting she would miss nearly three decades of her daughter's life. The bit that Snow often forgot, was that Emma was never aware that she had a family waiting for her. Her entire childhood, she had felt alone. She didn't know she had two parents waiting for her to come back. She thought she'd been abandoned, and that was that.
Snow often felt an ache deep within her as she thought about the life Emma had led. She so often wished she and Charming had a chance to reach out to Emma as she was growing up. An opportunity to let Emma know to never give up hope. That she was loved beyond her imagination. That one day, she would find a whole family who wanted nothing more than to have Emma in their lives. Snow had to stop thinking like that, she knew it. No amount of wishing would ever make that a reality. Emma never knew she had family waiting for her. The parents she cried herself to sleep wishing they would come back for her were not so far away, wishing she'd come wake them up. All Snow could do now was move forward and build a relationship with Emma, hoping one day, Emma saw that she had never been abandoned. She had been saved.
