Born in the EF- part 3
A guest asked for a oneshot of a third and final instalment following on from Ch2511 "Born in the EF- part 2" where Emma (having aged normally) is an adult again. They let her know about her other life and what happened. She feels conflicted about whether or not to be happy she has a redo, or sad her old life was erased.
Emma sat on her bed, not exactly sure how she felt.
Emma had turned eighteen a week previously. Her parents had decided they should tell Emma the full story of her life. It was a lot to take in for someone so young. She looked curiously at the woman in the photographs. It sure looked like her. Was this how she was going to look in ten years' time? Or would a gentler life lead to a softer appearance? Would she have less fear behind her eyes and less anxiety hidden in her smile? She guessed only time would tell.
"Was I happy in my other life?" Emma asked her parents. Snow and Charming looked at each other. They weren't sure how to answer that. They had decided not to tell Emma about Henry being her son. Well, Henry had decided. He still had a relationship with all his biological family, but his relationship with Emma was completely different now. It wouldn't be fair to tell her that.
"Yes." Charming eventually answered. "But not completely."
"It took you a long time to learn how to be happy." Snow explained better. "Even then, you were always on edge. You didn't ever have the life you were meant to have. Like we've explained before, we still didn't choose to take that life away and make you start again. That wouldn't have been fair. It happened at random when we were taken back to the Enchanted Forest during a mini curse." Emma nodded. She didn't know how she was supposed to feel. Her parents had made it clear the life she had led wasn't exactly perfect, but still, it had been her life. She had lead a whole other life? How was that even possible? Sure, sometimes when she was younger, she'd had weird dreams. Very vivid dreams where they felt almost like memories. Clearly, they had been…
