She's having what now?

Apappa(more as and ps): that doesn't seem to have any interaction between at least 2 Charming family members.
Sofi and Johnnysgirl: Sorry, but as I said in the last batch, that's June Tunes over, it was just a week long.
"Oh don't be grouchy with me." Snow pleaded with her six month old son. "It won't take long, promise." Rationally, Snow knew that Neal's grouchiness had nothing to do with being at the hospital to get a vaccination, but both she and Charming couldn't help but feel guilty none the less. He just got so upset after them. Charming draped his arm around Snow as they wondered into the waiting room to get checked in. But as they were there, they saw someone else in their family pacing up and down the length of the room nervously. Killian, their son-in-law. He too saw his in-laws, and tried to hide away, but it was too late. Snow and Charming cornered him until he started talking. What he told them shocked them both. How could Emma not have told them she needed an operation? That she'd been saving up for it for months because her insurance wouldn't cover it as a pre-existing condition and healthcare isn't a human right enough in its own merit to warrant having it for free (…sorry not sorry).
It transpired that, in one of her group homes, Emma had been shoved down the stairs. It could never be conclusively proven who did it, an adult or a child. Whoever it was didn't really matter now. What mattered was the wonky leg Emma had ended up with as a result. She apparently hadn't told her parents because she knew they'd fret. Of course they would have, their daughter was having surgery! Well, there could be no hiding it now. Snow and Charming quickly got Neal seen to, and then they waited with Killian.
The surgery went well, no complications. It was still a couple of hours before Emma woke up. The first thing she saw was Killian smiling down at her…followed by her parents. Emma sighed.
"You told them?" She croaked.
"More they waterboarded it out of me." Killian mumbled. Snow and Charming moved forward to be either side of her.
"Next time you're having major surgery, would you mind telling us? That way, we can arrange a babysitter." Snow said sternly, placing some hair behind Emma's ear.
"Now, do you need anything? Water? An extra pillow? Are they giving you enough pain medication?" Charming asked her.
"Do you have a discharge date yet? I mean, obviously you'll be coming straight back to our house so we can look after you properly there." Snow said in such a voice that Emma knew there was no room for negotiation. Emma sighed, fixing Killian with a look. She knew this would happen. Although, if she was totally honest, she can't really say she minded. She would never admit it, but it was kind of nice being fussed over. For the time being, anyway.
