Hey guys, I'm back with a longer chapter. There's a reunion in it. :) Anyways, I have two finals tomorrow and one more on Thursday, so I should be studying... But I'm here instead, am I? Lol. Thank you so much for reading and please leave a review... I would love to hear from you guys! :)
Next Morning
Bobby's POV
I got up this morning and made some coffee along with breakfast for us. I had heard back from Dean and they were on their way today. They should be here in a couple of hours, that is if Dean is speeding.
I heard her walking down on the stairs slowly and as she walks in, Emma yawned quietly and stretched her arms out as she plopped down at the table and laid her head down against the table.
I chuckled at the sight of her doing that and walked to the table, putting the coffee next to her face then went back to get the pancakes and bacon.
She opened her eyes when she smelled the coffee and smiled at me. She took the mug in her hands and took a long sip of coffee.
"Oh god, I missed your coffee so much." Emma says, smiling as she took another sip of my coffee.
I chuckled again, putting the pancakes on the plates. "Yeah, I make the best coffee, eh? My late wife made the best coffee in the world so I had to learn to make them like she did after she passed away… still not the same, but it's still coffee," I say, putting the plates down on the table.
Emma nodded, then picked out some pancakes and bacon and put them on her plate.
She started to eat and I was happy to see that she got her appetite back.
Emma's POV
After breakfast, I helped Bobby to clear the table and started to hand wash the dishes while Bobby stood next to me, drying the dishes after me. I was lost in my thoughts until Bobby cleared his throat and I looked at him.
"What?" I said, smiling as I noticed Bobby observing me.
"Oh, nothing… it's just that I can't believe you're here… I keep pitching myself to make sure that I wasn't dreaming."
I nodded. "Well, that would be a cruel dream if it was." I replied, passing on the last dish to Bobby.
"I know… but it would be a good dream because that meant that I got to see you again in a dream. Well, now I'm glad it's not a dream."
Bobby sets the dish down and wraps his arms around me, hugging me.
I caress his back while hugging back. "I know… me too." I whispered into his ear and he squeezes me gently in response.
"Now, where's my truck?" I asked after we hugged and Bobby lets out a chuckle.
"Follow me." Bobby says, walking away from me and I follow along.
We went outside to the junkyard, where I could see my truck being covered up in his garage.
"After you died, Dean worked on it for a while, then they left so I covered it up… intending to give it to someone but I couldn't. It was something that was part of you and I just couldn't bring myself to sell it. It would be a shame." Bobby explains, uncovering my truck.
I smiled, caressing my truck. "I missed this truck so much… It was the best truck I have ever had."
I walked around, checking my truck out and could see the work that Dean has done to it.
"I see what Dean did. He did a pretty good job." I said, caressing the new paint that Dean covered up when it was chipped.
Bobby sighs heavily and puts his hands in his pockets. "Speaking of him, Sam and Dean are coming back today."
I froze, not sure if I had heard him correctly. "I'm sorry but did you say that Sam and Dean are coming back?"
Bobby saw the look on my face and frowned. "Yeah, I did."
I could feel the familiar panic attack coming slowly in my lungs and I took a deep breath, letting it out slowly.
"Bobby…. I don't know… I… uh." I started to say, but couldn't finish my sentence because I was trying to catch my breath.
Bobby rushes over to my side and puts his hand on my back. "What's wrong, Emma? You're sweating…"
I wiped my forehead and stared at the wetness on my fingers, slowly sliding down against my truck.
"Bobby!" I coughed out loud, grabbing his shirt as he bent down in front of me.
"Emma, you're having a panic attack. You need to breathe. Okay, breathe with me, baby girl." Bobby says quickly as he held my hands.
I let out a sob as I looked into his eyes. "I can't!" I gasp out for air.
"Yes, you can! Baby, you just need to close your eyes and listen to my voice."
I let out a wheeze as I closed my eyes and focused on his calm voice.
I could feel my body relaxing and my breathing going back to normal now.
"That's it… you got it, Emma." Bobby whispers to me as he comforted me.
As my breathing stabilized, I opened my eyes to his worried face.
"Hey…. What the hell just happened? You never had a panic attack around me." Bobby asks, sitting down next to me and I rest my head against the driver's door.
"The thought of Sam and Dean coming here and they don't know that I'm alive….I just got overwhelmed. I'm still dealing with myself coming back to life and I don't know if I can face Sam and Dean."
Bobby frowned at me again."Emma, it's them. You know them… it's not like that they're strangers."
I let out a frustrated sigh. "Bobby, you don't understand. I have been gone for a year and who knows what they have gone though since then. I know Dean is leaving soon if you can't find a way to get him out of the contract that he made a deal with when Sam was dead. I can't face it."
Bobby lets out a sad sigh. "I know, Emma. But we are still fighting for it. We're still looking and we're not going to give up, Emma. I won't give up on Dean. He's…like a son to me after all. Both of them are like sons to me."
"I know…" I whispered, caressing his arm.
We sat in silence for a while until Bobby took a peek at his watch.
"They're going to be here soon… Do you want to wait until I tell them and you can come out?"
"I don't know, Bobby… They'll freak out like you did when you first saw me." I said, raising my eyebrows to make a point.
Bobby lets out a chuckle, shaking his head. "Trust me, Emma."
I nodded. "I trust you, Bobby."
He nodded at me then stood up, groaning as he stretched out his body. "I'm getting too old…." He muttered as he walks away.
A few minutes later, I heard the familiar sound of a car and I knew whose car it was.
Dean's Impala. My heart jumped at the sound of his car arriving and I stood up slowly, leaning against my truck.
I took a peek at my truck's side mirror and fixed my hair quickly. I could hear them talking and they were bickering with each other. I gave a quick smile, knowing that things were still the same.
I don't know how long I stayed in the garage, waiting for Bobby to call me but it was a while. I think Bobby must have be trying to convince them that I wasn't a demon or whatever I was supposedly because I'm supposed to be dead but I'm not.
I was cleaning my truck's windows when I felt a hand on my shoulder and I gave a short yell, turning around to face Bobby.
"Jesus, Bobby!" I gasped, putting my hand on my chest to calm down.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. They're ready to see you." Bobby says, wrapping his arm around my shoulder.
I let out a nervous sigh and threw down the towel that I was holding. "Okay." I whispered, giving him a small smile.
We walked to the back of the house and as Bobby opened the door, I paused for a moment.
"Emma?" Bobby says, holding the screen door open.
"I'm scared." I whisper, looking at Bobby.
"Don't be scared. It's going to be okay." Bobby says, caressing my arm in comfort.
"Okay… go ahead. I'll be there."
Bobby nodded and went inside. I could hear Sam's voice.
"Where's Emma? Bobby, this better be not a cruel joke…." Sam warned but Bobby interrupted him.
"Look, she's standing outside now and she's scared. Remember, she just came back yesterday and she is still dealing with the fact that she's alive. Also… it has been a year since she saw you guys."
Tears came to my eyes and I had goosebumps all over my body from hearing Sam for the first time. There was a silence for a second until his voice broke it.
"I understand, Bobby," Dean says and I gave a small gasp, hearing his voice.
I took a minute to compose myself and wiped my tears away quickly. I went inside and walked slowly to the kitchen.
They turned around when they heard me. Bobby gave a quick smile to me and nodded.
Sam and Dean stood there, stunned that I was standing in front of them.
I cleared my throat. "Well, isn't anyone going to say a word?" I said, trying to break the silence.
Sam lets out a chuckle and walked to me. He puts his arms around me, hugging me tightly.
We didn't let each other go for a moment. We cried silently and I took a look at Sam's face.
"It's so good to see you, Sam." I said, wiping his tears away. "Your hair got longer." I giggled, messing with his hair. He smiles at me and hugged me one more time then let me go.
Sam stood next to me as I look at Dean. I could see all the emotions running through his face and he was trying to compose his tough look but it was failing him.
"Emma." Dean whispered, frowning at me.
"It's me." I let out a strangled sob, trying to push away the lump in my throat. "I… You're looking great, Dean." I gave him a small smile.
There were unshed tears in his eyes and I could see him trying to fight the emotions away.
"Yeah… no, you're the one who looks excellent after coming back from the dead."
I let out a laugh, nodding. "I know right?"
I walk slowly to him until I got closer to his face. I caress his cheek slowly and he leaned into my hand.
"I remember what you said to me before I died. I love you, Dean." I whisper, staring at his green eyes.
He gave a strangled sob, holding my face in his hands. I held his wrists as he talked to me. "When you died… I thought I could never find anyone like you ever again, Emma. I was in so much pain from your death that I did a lot of stupid things and I'm so sorry, Emma. Please forgive me."
I suppressed my sob and nod. "It wasn't your fault, Dean. Never think that. I never wanted you to think that. I already forgave you a long time ago, Dean."
He let out a relieved sob and kisses me. I wiped my arms around his neck and continued our kiss, never wanted to let him go ever again.
So what did you think of their reunion? I am so happy and there's one more chapter with happiness then the rest of them are going to be sad and depressing again...just giving you guys a little warning! So wish me good luck on my finals and thanks again! :)
