Uncommon symptoms
A guest asked for a oneshot of Snow being the first to notice that Emma is pregnant again because it's the same symptoms she had. Emma didn't recognise it because they're different symptoms from the ones she had with Henry.
Snow's suspicions were growing day by day. Emma seemed to be living in Antarctica, yet she still complained that she was boiling. She was far too young for it to be the change. No, Snow suspected it was a completely different change. That, combined with her complaining that everything tasted funny and her downing painkillers like tic-tac's because she seemed to constantly have a headache led Snow to only one conclusion: Emma was pregnant again. Snow couldn't deny that she was a little hurt that Emma hadn't actually told her anything herself, but it was still early days, maybe she would when the time was right.
But when another couple of weeks past, Snow was becoming impatient. She had to take matters into her own hands. Especially when she saw Emma lifting a heavy box.
"Woh there!" Snow called, rushing over and immediately taking the box. "I've got this." Emma laughed.
"Thanks mom, but I had it." She said. Snow gave her the mom look.
"I'm not doubting your ability to carry it, I'm thinking about the possible long term effects you carrying it will have on my grandchild." Snow pointed out. Emma looked puzzled.
"Henry?" She asked. "Why would me carrying a box effect Henry?" Snow sighed.
"No, not Henry. My unborn grandchild. The one you're currently pregnant with." This just made Emma laugh.
"Have I gained weight or something? Why would you think I'm pregnant?" She asked.
"Emma, you can drop the act. I've known for a couple of weeks now. There's no need to hide it."
"Mom, there's nothing to hide. I'm really not pregnant. I think I would know. I've been there before." Emma reminded her.
"As have I." Snow pointed out. "Twice. You're a near carbon copy of me when I was first pregnant with you. All the headaches, feeling too hot no matter how cold it is. Even the weird taste in your mouth. Why do you think I needed so much cinnamon? It was one of the few things strong enough to mask the weird taste." Snow told her. Emma's face grew pale. "I know you were trying to keep it secret, but the truth's out now…"
"None of those were symptoms I ever had carrying Henry." Emma croaked. Snow grimaced. Emma hadn't known?
"Ah." Snow said. "Congratulations?" She offered. Emma grabbed her car keys.
"I need to go to the pharmacy." She said quickly. Snow just nodded, watching her go. Oops?
