"I've got the drinks! Now let the party begin!" Bex popped the cork out of a bottle of champagne and began pouring the bubbly substance to the brim of the glass.

"She's getting married tomorrow not getting inducted into a sorority. Easy on the booze." Macey said, eyeing the very full glass.

Bex rolled her eyes, "I guess some girls just can't handle themselves when alcohol is involved."

Macey gave her a look that could kill, "That was ONE time! Besides Liz is the one who gets tipsy off of two sips. Mine at least was a few glasses."

"Hey!" Liz said, throwing her hands up, and knocking one of the full glasses to the floor. Causing broken glass to fly everywhere.

"What I recall, was a wine cooler, and some questionable gin sent your right over the edge," Bex said in a very Bexish way.

"Okay, okay ladies," I said bending down to pick up the broken glass. "Let's not get into a fight over who can hold their weight in drinks, we have a night to celebrate."

"You bet your bloody arse we do!" Bex said, sounding extremely British.

"So what is your soon to be husband doing tonight?" Macey asked, sipping her now almost empty glass. "Bro-ing it out with the guys?"

In all honestly, I had no clue what Zach was up to. In fact I hadn't seen him in over a week and barely heard from him. I know life as a spy can get hectic, sometimes you go days, even weeks without even being able to contact somebody. I grew up this way. My parents would be gone for long periods of time before coming back, they would tell me where they were going if they could but there were times when I never knew anything. Something about not knowing Zach felt different. Maybe it was because I was older now, he was my fiance, we are getting married tomorrow and yet I felt like I still didn't know him sometimes. I use to like the mysterious side of him, but now I was tired of his big mystery.

"Cam?" Macey asked, pulling me from my thoughts.

"Where is Zach?" Bex asked.

"I have no clue," I said taking a glass of champagne and dowing half of it. "I haven't seen him in over a week."

"Are you kidding me?" Macey was pouring her second glass. "He is getting MARRIED tomorrow!"

"I did hear from him. He sent me a text a few days ago." I mumbled.

"That's good, what did he say?" Bex asked.

"He was working late… and couldn't make it to our date" I downed the second half of my glass in one gulp.

"When did he tell you that? Before or after the date?" Bex asked.

"After…"

"He stood you up?" Bex asked. The look on her face was disbelief.

"He's still doing this?" Macey scoffed. "You're still letting him get away with this?"

"He already did this before?" Bex stood up. "You should have kicked his sorry arse the first time he did it. Matter of fact give me my phone, I'll call this son of a-"

"Bex!" I cut her off. "Work has been crazy for him. I try to give him his space. I know there are things he can't tell me, just like there are things I can't tell him, it's part of our life, but-"

"But you're marrying him, you have to know some things." Liz squeaked out.

"Not to mention the decent thing to do is to cancel BEFORE the date." Macey scoffed and poured another glass of champagne.

"Zach still acts like he's a teenage boy on the run. Just coming around when he feels like mysteriously popping in." Liz had her analytical face on. "No matter how much I tried to analyze them, they're the one specimen I still don't understand."

At Liz's words, I felt dread and uneasiness.

"Hey Cam, don't stress about it," Bex said, putting a hand on my shoulder. "Zachary Goode loves you more than anything, so much so I know he would move earth and space-"

"Don't you mean heaven and earth?" Macey interrupted.

"That's what I said," Bex rolled her eyes. "He searched the entire earth until he found you when you ran away, he does everything with you in mind first. I'm sure he just doesn't want to stress you out or make you worried before your big day." Bex always knew how to make me feel better. "Now let's get this bachelorette party started!" She downed her glass of champagne and turned some music on full blast. Liz cheered and took a sip of her drink.

Not too long after Macey was on her fourth drink and dancing on the table in a very provocative way. She tended to be a wild card when it came to her being drunk. Liz sat at the table analyzing a game of solitaire, and Bex had almost drunk the whole bottle of the really expensive stuff Macey had brought. I was on my third glass. Not enough to make me drunk but I was definitely feeling buzzed. Champagne and an empty stomach do not mix well.

"I'm hungry" Bex wined.

"I could eat." Liz said, "who was in charge of food?"

"Macey," Bex said. At her name, she stopped dancing.

"Um excuse me, that had Rebecca Baxter written all over it. She was the one who planned it."

At the use of her full name, Bex started crying. It was amazing how emotional she got when drunk. For a girl who could take down a fully armed assassin with only a penny and hair tie, and still manages to look modelesque while doing it, the one thing Rebecca Baxter didn't handle well was being drunk. When the Duchess was drunk she became unbearingly emotional, almost a complete opposite to how Bex was normally. And the night was only getting started.

At some point in the next hour, pizza was ordered and we huddled around the TV watching bridesmaids. The night went by fast, but it was by far the best girl's night I've had in a long time. We only had to hold Bex down three times because she wanted to drunkenly call Grant and ask him to take her back. They have been on and off for the past few years and it's like her first instinct is to call him when drunk. While we successfully stopped Bex from embarrassing herself in front of the guy she liked, we were not with Macey. While I held down Bex and Liz disabled her phone, Macey snuck off to call Preston and say some other things that for the sake of her mortification I won't put here.

At about 12:30 everyone was asleep but me. As much as I wanted it to be excitement that was keeping me up, the real thing was worry. I was getting married tomorrow and I had no clue where Zach was, what he was doing, or even seen him once in the whole week leading up to tomorrow. I don't want to sound like one of those crazy possessive girlfriends but I'm getting married tomorrow for crying out loud! Spy or not, I feel like I have some right.

I went up to my room. We were staying in Macey's family house in the Hamptons. I washed my face and laid down on the cushion of the comfortable bed but I couldn't sleep. I grabbed my phone and dialed the number.

"Gallagher girl," Zach said cooly through the phone. No hint of sleep in his voice whatsoever. "You're up late considering the day you have tomorrow."

"I could say the same about you."

"Is something wrong?" He sounded concerned.

"Yeah I'm fine, I just couldn't sleep."

"Having too much fun with the girls?" I heard voices in the background.

"Oh yes nothing like holding down a drunk Bex while she tries to call Grant and a drunk Macey practically stripping while dancing."

"Sounds like fun." There was a grunt and then what sounded like a punch.

'Zach?" There was no answer but another grunt. "Zach!" I practically yelled.

"Yeah?" He said in the most casual way.

"What is going on?" I asked, getting worried.

"Nothing Cam, it's all good." I heard a siren in the background, but not like any American siren. It was very European sounding.

"Zach…" I paused. "Where are you?"

"Just... out." His vagueness was starting to get on my nerves.

"Out where?" I was gripping the phone so hard my knuckles were white.

"Budapest." He said it as if that were the most normal thing in the world. And while in my world it may be the day before we were super to be getting married was not.

"WHAT? ZACH!"

"It's all good Cammie, I'm not in any trouble."

"Zach we are getting MARRIED tomorrow!" I must have been yelling because soon a very sleepy looking Macey, Liz, and Bex came in the room.

"I am aware of that."

"Are you? Because right now you aren't even on the same continent I'm on!" I was furious, and by the look on Bex, Liz and Macey's face they were too.

"Calm down, Cam-"

"I can't believe this Zach. Is that where you've been this whole time? Is that why I haven't heard from you at all this week? Is that why you didn't show up for our date on Tuesday." It was quiet on the other end. "Are you going to even show up tomorrow?"

"Of course I will Cammie, this is the most important day of my life." He sounded hurt by my question.

I didn't say anything after a long time. "I should get some sleep. Big day tomorrow." Before he could say anything else I hung up the phone. I turned around to the girls.

"In case you wanted to know Zach is in Budapest."

"What on earth is he doing there?"

"I have no clue."

Liz came up and gave me a hug. Bex and Macey quickly followed. When boys are stupid, you can always count on your friends to be there for you.
