As I packed my clothes in the carry-on bag, I went back to my dresser and took out one more pile of my clothes when I discovered something in the drawer. I put the clothes down on the bed and took it out of the drawer. It was Dean's green shirt that he wore so many times and I let out a chuckle, holding it in my hands. I then held it to my face and took a smell of it. It smelled like him and tears came to my eyes.
I let out a sigh and put the shirt into the bag so I could wear it to bed later. I wipe my tears away and zipped the bag up.
As I walk to outside, Bobby was there, waiting for me at my truck. When I approached him, he took the bag from my hands and threw it inside the truck.
"Now, Emma. You gotta keep me in touch. You can't just get away without letting me know where you are and what are you doing… like Sam. If I ever hear back from him, I'll let you know."
I nodded and gave him a hug. "Please take care of yourself, Bobby. Don't drink too much now…" I say to him, chuckling.
"Smart ass…. No, I'll watch out for myself. Take care of yourself and call me when you arrive at somewhere."
"I will." I say, getting into the truck and slammed the door. "Bye Bobby."
"Bye, Em."
I gave him a soft smile and waved at him as I started my truck and I started to drive down on the driveway.
He waved his hat at me and I let out a honk as a last goodbye for Bobby. Who knows if I ever will see him again?

Macon, Georgia
For the past few weeks, I have been traveling from South Dakota to Kentucky, then to Tennessee, and finally to good ol' Georgia.
I rented a hotel room in Macon since I didn't know if I wanted to stay for a while or just continue to travel. I have changed a lot since I left. I cut my hair shorter to the shoulder length because it was too damn hot in Georgia and it was a lot easier to style. I also dyed my hair from dark brunette to strawberry blonde, which looked great with my gray eyes.
I have been researching about my birth mother, but no luck yet. My birth father was still unknown, but I know that he was some kind of angel… if there are angels out there.
It was a long day for me so I went to bed early upstairs since it was split into two levels, one level downstairs with a kitchen and living room and one level upstairs was the bedroom and the bathroom.
I was sound asleep when I heard a thump, then it sounded like the glass broke, which I woke up quickly. I listened some more and I could hear rustling around downstairs so I quickly took the gun under my pillow and cocked it. I pull on my lounge pants since I was wearing only Dean's shirt and underwear. I creep downstairs slowly and I could see a human shadow, wrestling around with the curtain. It looked like his foot got caught in it.
I pointed my gun out slowly. "Freeze, don't move! I have my gun and I will shoot your ass up if you dare to move."
He stopped moving and straightened himself up. "Wait! Emma, it's me." He says to me, slurring.
I was shocked at his voice and quickly turned the light on. It was Sam.
"Sam? I could have killed you!" I say, putting the gun on the counter and walked over to him.
I unwrapped the curtain that was caught around his foot and then helped him get into the kitchen chair.
He reeks like whiskey. "Ugh, Sam. You're drunk, aren't you?"
"No, I'm not." Sam slurs at me, looking at me with his damn puppy eyes.
"Yes, you are. You're slurring and you reek like whiskey. Gross. You're bleeding," I grab his hand and there was a huge cut on his right palm.
"I was trying to get in your room… I lost my balance."
I looked at my broken window. "I can see that. Stay here while I get the first aid kit."
After grabbing the first aid kit, I sat down in front of Sam and started to clean his palm up.
"You look different, Emma….. Your hair? D… did you dye your hair?" Sam slurs, pointing his good hand at my head.
"It's called starting my life over and a new change, Sam. You would know if you had kept in touch with me and Bobby…. Wait a minute. How did you know that I was here?"
"Bobby told me… I called him today and he told me that you went up and left a month ago. That's how I found out about you being here."
I begin to wrap his hand with gauze. "I'm going to kill Bobby, when I see him next time. He shouldn't have told you that."
"Emma, I'm sorry, but I needed to see you."
I finished with his hand and begin to repack the first aid kit. "Why? I mean… you left us three months ago without letting us know if you were okay or not. So I don't care anymore, Sam. You can do whatever you want."
I stood up, but he stops me by grabbing my arm. "Emma, please…just listen to me for once."
I sat back down and looked at him. "Okay, what do you have to say?"
"I'm sorry that I left you. I should have been taking care of you like I promised Dean but…I was in pain and I had to find a way to get Dean back."
"Oh yeah? How did that work out?"
Sam looks ashamed. "I can't find a way to get Dean back. I realized that I should have kept in touch with you and Bobby but I was angry and stubborn to do so."
I nodded. "Yeah, Sam. A lot of things have happened since you were gone and thank god that Bobby was there for me because I don't think that I would be here if he hadn't been here for me."
"What do you mean by that, Emma?"
I stood up and walked into the kitchen. "I'm going to make you coffee, Sam." I said, avoiding his question.
"Emma?"
"I don't want to talk about it. You can ask Bobby about it since he seemed to be willing to tell you everything about me."
As I waited for my coffee maker to brew the coffee, I stood in the kitchen and Sam was quiet, avoiding looking at me.
The coffee got ready so I grabbed one small mug for me and one large mug for Sam since he needed it to sober up and I walked over the table with them and the coffee pot in my other hand. I set them down and poured the coffee into the mugs, then passed the large mug to Sam.
"Thanks." Sam mumbled to me as I sipped my coffee.
"How did you get here by the way? I hope you didn't drive…."
"No, I walked. When I arrived here today and I was planning to see you earlier, but I got so nervous that I decided to have a drink….the next thing I know is that I had too much of whiskey and decided to walk here."
"Ever heard of knocking on a door, Sam? Because my window is now broken, thanks to you and I have to pay for it."
Sam puts his head in his hands and lets out a groan. "I'm sorry, Emma."
I clear my throat, nodding. "It's okay. We do all stupid things when we're drunk. I'm just glad…that you're okay."
"Thanks. I'm gonna go now," Sam stood up, but I stopped him by grabbing his arm. "Sam, you're still drunk. You're not going anywhere. You can crash on my couch now and we'll see how you're feeling in the morning."
Sam smiled at my invite and nodded. "I will, thanks, Emma."
Sam crossed over to the coach and lay down on it, letting out a groan. He quickly falls asleep and I took the blanket out of the closet nearby and lay it down on Sam. I watch him sleep for a while and he had some of Dean's facial features, causing me to miss him so much. I then turn the lights off in the kitchen and went back upstairs. I crawl into my bed slowly and lay down on my back, staring at the ceiling for a while.
I eventually fell asleep about five in the morning.
I was interrupted by the insistent knocking on my door and I look over at my clock, it was about twelve o'clock in the afternoon. I was shocked by how late I slept in and I got out of my bed quickly, walking downstairs. I looked over at the couch and Sam was gone.
I opened the door and it was the hotel manager.
"Hi Ms. Castle, the maid saw your broken window. Is everything okay?"
"Oh, I'm so sorry about that. It was my friend who was drunk and was trying to get in my room. I'll pay for it. Again, I am so sorry."
He nodded at me. "Okay, you can pay for the damage when you check out. I'm glad that you're okay. Have a good day."
I nodded and closed the door. I look over at the couch and the blanket was folded on the cushion, along with the note on top of it.
I walk over and picked up the note. It was Sam's handwriting. "Emma"
I then opened his note.
"Emma,
When I woke up and realized where I was, I felt like shit for breaking in and scaring you. I'm sorry that it was a bad time to come in but I had to see you and make sure that you were okay. After all, I promised Dean that I would take care of you and I broke my promise. I felt like a failure, but at the same time, I was grieving and didn't know how to deal with Dean's death. I was in denial and I wanted to find a way to bring Dean back. I will continue to find a way for Dean to come back. I didn't want to wake you up and say goodbye so I felt this note is appropriate. Here's the money to pay for the damage. I will get in touch with you when I can. I like your new hair by the way…it looks good on you.
Sincerely,
Sam"
I sat down after reading his note and let out a heavy sigh, pushing my hair back from my face.
"Okay, Sam. If you want to leave without saying goodbye….then I'll leave without saying goodbye too." I say to myself, putting down the note.
I got up and grabbed my clothes, throwing them into my bag. After I checked out of the hotel and paid for the damage, I threw my bag into my truck and jumped inside, starting my truck up.
I sat here for a while, staring at my cell phone, trying to decide if I needed to call Bobby. I dialed the familiar number.
It ran four times, then it was picked up.
"Hello?"
"Sam came last night." I say, irritated with Bobby.
"Emma?"
"Yeah, it's me, Bobby. Sam came to see me last night…drunk. He broke the window."
"Stupid boy, he shouldn't have come to see you drunk. I told him to call you before coming over there," Bobby barks out angrily.
"Bobby, what even pissed me more is the fact that you didn't call me to let me know that you heard from Sam! Why didn't you let me know? I woke up in the middle of the night, scared out of my mind and I almost shot Sam. I could have killed him!"
"Emma, I'm sorry, but Sam asked me not to. He said that he would call you, but I think he was afraid that you would try to leave to avoid him."
I clench my jaw, staring out of the window for a while.
"Emma, you there?"
I let out a heavy sigh. "Bobby…I wish you hadn't told Sam where I was. I mean…I have told you not to tell anyone where I am and…. I'm trying to start my life over. You know that. I need a fresh start. So that's why I'm calling you…is to say goodbye," I choke out the last sentence. I bite down my lips, trying to keep myself from breaking down.
"Emma, what are you saying? Are you saying that you're gonna disappear like Sam?"
"Bobby, I love you. I'm sorry. Look, I gotta go."
"Emma-"
I hung up on him, letting out a sob. I wiped my tears away, then I took the battery out of my cell phone. I got out of my car and threw the battery and the cell phone into the trashcan. They won't be able to find me now.
I get back into my car and drove out of the parking lot, eventually hitting the highway.
Who knows where I will be going next?
Now, that I have finally updated the story, please leave a review since I love to hear from my readers. :)
TheAlleyKat: Thank you so much for leaving a review and I am so glad that you get excited when I update. Sorry, took so long. I am finally on my Thanksgiving break this week. :D We'll see where Emma will go next?
Hell's Butterflies: Well, it is normal for her to have a miscarriage, but it may not be related to her being a half-angel... She'll never find out unless Cas can help her out... If she remembers him. We'll see what happens when it does happen. ;)
