9 PM, Midgar Ruins...

The sounds of Deepground agents shouting and cheering echoed through the empty streets of Midgar as they surrounded Yuffie and Weiss. Their cheer alienated her deeply as she was losing the fight. She was against their boss, their hero after all, so of course, they are looking forward to her defeat. While she did her best to drown out their voices by trying to focus her senses elsewhere, Her injuries made it hard for her to do so.

Her leg was the main target of Weiss' attacks; he had figured that it was her weakness during the fight and made sure he attacked it regularly with every clash they had so far. That's not to mention all the bruising she had received all over her body. Some of the attacks had even torn her right shirt strap and bandana; she was grateful that he didn't unsheath his gunblade during their scuffle or else she would have lost limbs instead. At this point, she was using her giant shuriken as a way to keep standing on her wobbly feet.

"Give up woman, you have no chance of winning against me" Weiss spoke after being quite since they began. His tone was flat so she couldn't read his emotion at all.

"Like... Hell, I will." She spat some blood that had collected in her mouth from the injuries on the street below her. Her gaze still aimed at him. She needed to be more careful, study his movements, evade him as much as possible, and somehow try to slip away. But with all his followers surrounding them, it was hard to do.

Ring... Ring...

Her cell phone's ringing cut the tension in the area like a knife, almost everyone present got quiet. The colors drained from her face in terror. Of all the times to call, they had to do it now, in the middle of her confrontation with the enemy. She did her best to just ignore it, but it continued to vibrate and ring in her pocket very loudly.

"Aren't you going to get that? You might as well say your goodbyes."

"Not a Chance ." Yuffie steadied her breathing as much as she could. Frustrated and worried, she pulled out her cell phone and dropped it on the floor. Then, in one fell swoop, she stabbed her weapon into it, completely destroying it. With that, any hope Deepground had on gathering intel from her was gone.

"Now, shut up and fight me!"

"I don't if your brave or just plain reckless, either way, you earned my respect. I'll be sure to give you a fast and painless death."

"Uffy! Uffy!" the little girl cried out as she was being dragged by Cait through the damaged streets and alleyways of the ruins, they occasionally tripped a few times on some rubble and metals, but they continued none the less. He just hoped that her yelling won't alert any of the agents, or the scouts still looking for them.

Her struggling was making it hard for him to get her to safety. And Since he saw Weiss appear, it became a priority to get away from the area as fast as they could, even if that meant abandoning Yuffie in the process. Why he hated the idea, she'd skin him alive if he and the kid got caught after all her hard work. It was a painful decision to make, but it was a must. Somehow, he managed to get the little girl to Kunsel's truck.

Since Yuffie had informed him beforehand, He knew what to expect. Though he did not expect to see only Cait and the kid. He opened his mouth to ask but closed it immediately after seeing that the two were in a rush.

"Quickly Lad! Drive! Drive!"

"Oh, um... alright. Come on kiddo, in we go!" Kunsel took the reluctant child in the back seat and slammed the doors. Her kicking had made contact with his chest and jaw a few times, thankfully he was not an average Joe. as soon as the kid was seated and secure, Kunsel climbed into the driver's seat and slammed into the gas. The truck sped off onto the highway leading out of Midgar.

"So Cait, can you please tell me What exactly happened? and where is Yuffie?"

"We were in a terrible position, so the lass decided to distract the scouts. But then WEISS SHOWED UP!"

"ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" Kunsel shouted in surprise, his loud voice startled the crying girl in the back, causing her to sob even more, almost drowning out there voices. "S-sorry kid. please calm down."

"K-Kenny, lad... we have some company." Cait stuttered, his hearing had picked up on the sound of motors. Peeking out the passenger's window, he noticed a group of motor vehicles giving chase behind them.

"Great, JUST GREAT! This truck isn't armed."

"I have an idea lad!" he jumped to the back seat next to the surprised little girl. Under her chair, he pulled out a box filled with metallic material like pipes and plates. Gathering up some of the big and sharp items from the crate, the robotic cat hoped back into the passenger's seat and looked out the open window.

As his driver did his best to swerved away from incoming attacks. Cait would either slug any motorbikes that got close to his window or threw out the sharp objects, popping the tires and stopping them dead in their tracks. the improve plan seemed to have worked to their favor.

"Cait, you and the kid buckle up. This is going to get bumpy." Kunsel announced as he eyed a detour sign ahead next to the exit. His robotic friend hoped to the back seat and made sure the girl and himself were strapped tight.

"Please lad, don't kill us during your crazy stunt."

"That's the plan."

Kunsel tightened his grip on the wheel while pulling the gear shift to high, his foot stomping on the gas completely. The car was practically flying, their pursuers could barely catch up to them.

The truck crashed through the sign, the wood scraps went flying across the road. Ahead of it was a significant gap in the roadway, construction had stop years ago when the rebuilding of Midgar fell through. Now it's just a dangerously large ramp leading to the old road. No one in their right mind would dare jump it, and here Kunsel was attempting it.

"Hold on!"

While Deepground skidded to a stop, the truck didn't. Instead, it sped up even faster, and it launched off the ramp. It was airborne for what felt like a long time, but was merely a few seconds, before the tires violently hit the old road with an ear-bleeding screech then suspend back to normal. While it continued to drive away, it had slowed down to the average speed.

"Ok sound off, who's dead?" Kunsel called out jokingly, his eyes glued to the rearview mirror, hoping no one was gutsy enough to jump after them. He saw Cait poke his head in his view.

"Lad, Reeve is gonna have a cow when he hears about this."

"I'm sure he already has one since you two are mentally linked."

"You got that right."

"How is the kid?"

"She blacked out, poor lassy."

"So... Is Reeve sending Vincent?"

"Even if he doesn't, Vinny boy will rush over regardless as soon as he gets word about this."

"This is going to be one of these long drives." Kunsel sighed, frustrated at the outcome of this mission. "let's hope he gets to her in time."

Meanwhile, WRO Headquarters, Kujata Avenue...

Vincent had turned in for the night at this point. His room was dark, save for the dim light coming from the curtained off windows. His crimson cape was dropped on the armchair next to the door. His Cerberus gun with its extra ammo cartridge laid on the nightstand next to his alarm clock. The gold plated gear and black boots were scattered all over the floor. As for himself, Vincent was merely laying there in the warmth of his bed, a hand resting on his abdominal while the other covered his eyes. He should have slept an hour ago, but he found himself unable to. That's when his cellphone rang.

At first, he tries to ignore it. But the constant ringing started to get on his nerves, it was mostly due to the ring tone being that song Yuffie got hooked up on. He picked it up after a while when he realized that it won't stop.

"Vincent here." He groaned unintentionally, He wasn't going to get used to having a loud device on his person at all times.

"Sorry about this Vincent, but there is an emergency. Weiss was sighted at Midgar, and Yuffie is facing him."

"She's WHAT?!" He jumped out of bed if he was drowsy before, he was wide awake now. Vincent scrambled around the room, gathering his gear and clothes, getting dressed immediately, then run out the apartment in full speed making a beeline to the hanger where Cid and Reeve were waiting. He didn't even bother locking his apartment door as he left.

People moved out of his way the moment they saw him rushing down the hallways and streets. The aura he was giving off frightened them, even when he was just a regular guy now. He didn't really care for anyone around him right now, he just needed to get to Midgar quickly. He needed to get to Yuffie before something terrible happens. As soon as the hanger door were in front of him, he threw his arms at the double doors and flung them open with such force that they hit the walls with a loud bang that echoed throughout the building.

"Give me the details on the way, let's move." He was in a rush, and the two had no complaint about that. After all, The young ninja was in danger.

Cid ran after his crimson dressed friend and climbed into the Shera while Reeve watched after them. The engine roared to life with the metallic ship slowly took off the ground. The wind generated from the lift-off blow away the ground crew from its strength. The armored vehicle soon left the hanger and was heading to Midgar at an alarming speed for an oil-fueled airship. Reeve just hoped that they would make it in time to save the young Wutai woman.
