Aspenfern, kind reviewer, I apologise for the delay. I lost this so many times and rewrote it so I got sick of it. Originally the letter was written in full; this chapter is probably more like a summary of what it would've been, what it was. I hope it meets with your approval.

Any questions/comments/suggestions would be gladly received.

I expect this to be a few more chapters only.

The letter Susan wrote to her father that week (she wrote one every week, because Peter was too busy, as was her mother, and the others were too young) was filled with interest. About Lucy's Mouse, Reepicheep, and the ring Peter had found that had made a beautiful circlet for said Mouse. Of Edmund's amateurish drawing of Reepicheep. Of all the small and precious moments that made up a family.

As she was almost done, Lucy bounded excitedly in. Reep was hanging tightly to her shoulder.

"Susan, Susan!"

Susan laid aside her pen with a longsuffering sigh. "What is it, Lu?"

"Look!" She gestured towards the Mouse, whose circlet was now adorned with a bright scarlet feather. "Ed found it!"

"How, uh, nice," said Susan, forcing a smile. In her opinion, the large feather made the Mouse look even more ridiculous. "What else has Reepicheep been telling you recently?"

Lucy launched into a description of other worlds and secrets that Susan could make almost no sense of.

"Did he really tell you this?" she asked at last.

"Well..." Lucy hesitated for a second and glanced at the Mouse.

Just then Edmund hurried in, eyes wide. "Hey, Lu, your Mouse showed me a new world!"

"What is it now, Ed?" asked Susan. Seeing both her younger siblings giving her startled looks, she said, "It's just that I've got to finish the letter to Dad."

"Tell him I found a football field in the bathroom cupboard," said Edmund excitedly.

"Did you really, Ed?"

"I can pretend I did. Maybe Reep showed me."

Susan smiled and glanced at the time. "You two had better get going."

Lucy looked puzzled.

"Remember what day it is?"

Her face cleared. "Right. See you later, Susan." The pair disappeared.

And Susan sat down to finish her letter.

P.S.: All that Lu's Mouse needs now is a sword or something to fit with that stupidly rakish look. Maybe he can defend his honour with it or something. Don't you wish he could talk?

I'm sure you'll notice that Reep is not the Reep of PC. This is deliberate. Aslan sent him to England to prepare the kids for Narnia and their roles, and in the process he kinda grew up a lot. Lu wouldn't hug him in PC because he's not her pet any longer.

This story is only going to be a few, maybe a couple, more chapters. It's very much bare-bones because I have no real plot, just a what-if; thus, I'm expecting maybe a scene between Lu/Reep, one entering the wardrobe, and then a Mysterious Epilogue. Perhaps I'll expand the story if I get any idea about it; if so, it'd probably remain as it is and rewrite a full story. Ideas are welcomed! :) (or if you want to write it/something inspired by this, just tell me (if you plan to post on here) and go ahead!)

Susan is more grownup than her age because of her father not being there and her being the motherly type anyhow.

Expect the next chapter/scene/snippet/thing today. :)
