Any questions/confusion, ask and I'll try and explain it.
We're nearly at the end here. These chapters are shorter than I anticipated, but oh well. Once again, it's more of an outline than a real story.
Lucy often wondered when she looked back at the whole thing, what she would have done without Reepicheep's information. Four years with the Mouse who had so inexplicably disappeared on her first entry to Narnia had prepared her for ruling at the tender age of eight.
Even Aslan had not explained why Reep had disappeared on that first time. Her dinner with Mr Tumnus had been interesting enough to mask the pain of losing Reepicheep, but when she returned without the Mouse to greet her, it was hard, further increasing her sorrow when her siblings didn't believe her. Only Professor Kirke seemed to understand her loss, having questioned her very specifically as to her Mouse. Of course, it now made sense, given his own adventure in Narnia, but the child she'd been was very confused by the Professor's understanding, knowing that - as Reep had told her - she wasn't to mention his ability to talk, to anyone, not even her siblings. Somehow, though, Professor Kirke had got it out of her. Not seeming very surprised.
She sighed as she leaned backwards onto the hard train bench. In a few moments the train would come to divide the four Kings and Queens of Narnia.
Wait.
Was that the sound of a Horn?
