It had been little over two weeks since Kyouka started training with Izuku and the others started noticing the difference. Kyouka had been doing much better in the class training sessions, being able to outmaneuver and outfight most of her opponents.

"Ha! Did you see how I beat Kirishima today?! Who knew those judo moves would have come in handy?" exclaimed Kyouka with a giggle.

Izuku couldn't help but smile at his friend's exuberance. "I told you learning a fighting style was a good idea."

"Yeah, yeah. You were right," replied Kyouka. She then gave him a smile of her own. "Thanks, Izuku."

"You're welcome, Kyouka."

Currently, the two teens were in Izuku's room. Kyouka was lying on her stomach on Izuku's bed, while the boy himself sat at his desk.

"The look on everyone's faces when I flipped Kirishima over my shoulder and out of bounds was priceless!" added the purple-haired girl with a grin.

"Yeah, I guess it was," agreed the green-haired boy with a laugh. "Don't forget how you gave Sato-san a run for his money."

Kyouka's grin widened when she remembered her spar with the Sugar Rush fighter. It was one thing to be able to throw a punch, but it was another to know how to actually fight with your fists. Izuku had taught her how to fight with her fists with the idea that she could use her Quirk to make her punches stronger.

So after having Hatsume reinforce Kyouka's Amplifier Jacks and she got the hang of the actual brawler style, the fruits of her labor paid off when she was able to send Sato flying back a few feet thanks to her sound wave enhanced punch. Needless to say, the jaws of the others were on the floor.

"And to think, I was able to do that even though I'm still technically a beginner," stated the rocker girl. "Imagine what I could do when I get better at the brawler style. I might even be able to throw a punch as strong as yours, Izuku."

"I don't know about that, Kyouka, considering the differences in our Quirks," replied Izuku. He then looked at his scarred hand with a frown. "Besides, I wouldn't want you to go through the same thing I did."

Seeing his insecurities, Kyouka sat up and moved to the edge of the bed. She grabbed his hand and traced her fingers over his scars, causing him to blush slightly.

"I think these scars are pretty cool, Izuku. Yeah, how you got them is something no one should have to go through, but they were a learning experience, right?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, as you kept using your arms and breaking them you got more and more scars, right?" questioned Kyouka, looking up at him with her usual smirk. "Instead of constantly doing the same thing and not getting a different result, you came up with that Shoot Style of yours and haven't broken anymore limbs since."

"…I never really thought of it like that," admitted Izuku, looking down at his scars. "Truthfully, it was mainly because I was told that I could lose the use of my arms if I broke them one more time."

The rocker girl went stiff at hearing that. "Wait, what?"

Izuku gulped nervously before he removed his arm brace and rolled up his sleeve. Kyouka's eyes widened and her jaw dropped when she saw the badly scarred bicep and shoulder. It looked as if someone tore Izuku's skin right off!

"It was at the training camp, when the villains invaded," started Izuku, looking away from Kyouka as she stared at his scar. "I went looking for Kota and ran into a villain by the name of Muscular, who's Quirk allowed him to manipulate and amplify his muscles. He was one of the strongest opponents I've ever faced at that point, but if I didn't stop him he would have killed Kota like he did Kota's parents."

"And you used One For All to stop him," said Kyouka, seeing where this was going. "Just how much of it did you use?"

"I used it at one hundred percent, breaking my arm in the process…but it wasn't enough to defeat Muscular."

"Th-Then how…?"

"…I had to combine 100% Delaware Smash and 100% Detroit Smash and create a Super Move I called 1,000,000% Delaware Detroit Smash to finally defeat Muscular," explained Izuku with a sigh. "Since my arm was already broken when I used the move, you can imagine how bad it looked afterward."

Kyouka could feel her chest tighten up. "So let me get this straight. You took your already broken arm and broke it even further to beat a guy who could probably stand toe to toe with All Might in terms of raw strength."

"…Yes."

"Now do you see why I'm not going to let you fight alone anymore?!" demanded Kyouka with a hiss as she gave him a narrowed look, causing him to flinch.

"B-But…"

"Izuku, I admire the fact that you'll take the risk and just jump in to help someone, but even All Might wasn't reckless about it!"

"Th-That…"

"I'm still afraid of what would happen if you fought All For One by yourself," replied the rocker girl, tears coming to her eyes. Soft, dainty hands grabbed his rough, scarred one. "I know you're still planning on sacrificing yourself if it means taking down All For One for good, aren't you?"

"…K-Kyouka."

"Wouldn't victory against All For One be better if you survived to enjoy the peace and to enjoy it with your friends?"

"Yes, but I can't guarantee that it will happen like that," stated Izuku, starting to panic. "I was there when All Might fought All For One! As much as I hate to say this, All Might got lucky for living through that fight! That's how strong All For One is, Kyouka!"

"And that's why I'm going to be by your side when the time comes, Izuku. No one else should have to die by his hands," said Kyouka in a soothing tone to try and calm her friend down.

"…I don't want to see you die, Kyouka."

"And you think I want to see you die?" questioned the girl, looking him in the eye. "We're a team, Izuku. As long as we have each other's back we can win. So promise me. Promise me that when the time comes that you'll fight to live, okay?"

"…I promise. I'm sorry for upsetting you, Kyouka."

"Apology accepted. Now come on. Dinner should almost be ready and I'm getting hungry," said Kyouka as she stood up and headed to the door.

Izuku let out a chuckle as he followed after her.

Later that night, the girls had met up in Mina's room for a little girl time.

"So you and Midori have gotten pretty close, Kyouka-chan~"

Of course the rocker girl was regretting it as she glared at the fluffy alien. "That usually happens when two people train together, Mina!"

"Speaking of which, is that how you came up with those moves you used today, Kyouka-chan?" asked the invisible girl.

"Yup!" replied Kyouka with a slight grin. "Izuku thought I would benefit with some hand-to-hand combat training, so he taught me some judo moves and his brawler style."

"What about that move you used on Sato, gero?" asked Tsuyu.

"That was also Izuku's idea and you all saw how effective it was."

"It was surprising to see you be able to do that, Kyouka," said Momo with a smile. "Midoriya's training must really be something!"

"Damn right it is," said the rocker girl.

As the rest of the girls talked about Kyouka and her training, Ochaco was having an internal struggle. Even though Deku's training has been helping Kyouka greatly, the anti-gravity girl disliked how much time Deku and Kyouka have been spending together. Even when they were not training the two would be together! Kyouka had even started joining them during lunch, much to Ochaco's chagrin. This feeling of jealousy only increased as time went on.

"Back to the original topic!" exclaimed Mina, her black and gold eyes sparkling. "Aside from training, Kyouka-chan, what's been going on with you and Midori?!"

Kyouka let out an annoyed groan while Ochaco clenched her fists.

"We're just friends, Mina! Stop trying to look deeper into this than you should!"

"That'd be like asking a bird not to fly, gero," replied Tsuyu, getting laughs from the other girls and pout from Mina.

"You girls are no fun," said Mina, still pouting.

-:-

At the same time the girls were talking, Bakugou had dragged Izuku outside.

"K-Kacchan! Wh-What are you d-doing?! W-We might g-get in trouble for b-being out here!"

"Shut the fuck up, Deku," growled out the ashy blond. He then pushed Izuku forward and glared at him. "We need to talk."

That got Izuku on guard. Kacchan didn't talk. He fought and used his Quirk to get people to listen to him.

"T-Talk about wh-what, Kacchan?"

Red eyes narrowed further. "What the fuck have you been doing with Earlobes?"

Emerald eyes blinked in confusion. Why did Kacchan want to know about Kyouka?

"I've been training Jirou-san, Kacchan. She asked for my help and I agreed. You even saw how much stronger she's gotten during today's lessons," explained Izuku.

"Che," huffed out Bakugou. "You honestly expect me to fucking believe that's everything?!"

"It's the truth! All I've been doing is helping Jirou-san with her training!"

The green-haired boy did everything he could not to shake in fear as Bakugou continued to glare at him. The explosive boy let out a growl before he turned his back on Izuku.

"Whatever. Just remember to keep your fucking mouth shut!"

"…Huh?"

Bakugou looked over his shoulder to glare at Izuku, making the other boy flinch. "I said keep your fucking mouth shut! Earlobes doesn't need to know about One For All!"

As Bakugou headed back inside, Izuku was still as a statue. It was at that moment Izuku realized something…

He had completely forgotten that Kacchan knew about One For All and he never told Kyouka!

Izuku could safely say that he was NOT looking forward to that meeting.

-:-

"So are these meetings with All Might normal?" asked Kyouka in a quiet tone, so no one could overhear them. It was the next day and she and Izuku were heading to the teacher's longue to meet with the retired hero.

"Only when something important comes up," replied Izuku with a shaky sigh. "And this is definitely going to be important."

Kyouka could only raise an eyebrow as she continued to follow Izuku. Why did it sound like he would rather be anywhere else right now?

They soon reached their destination and Izuku entered the room. When Kyouka followed after she stopped in her tracks when her eyes locked with a pair of vicious red eyes. The two teens stared at each other for a few moments before…

"Why the fuck is he/Earlobes doing here?!" they each demanded, pointing at each other.

All Might let out a sigh while Izuku rubbed his arm nervously.

"Izuku! Please don't tell me he of all people knows about this!" demanded Kyouka, turning to her friend.

"Deku! I told you to keep your mouth shut!" growled out Bakugou, letting off some small explosions.

"That's enough," said All Might, catching their attention. "Everything will be explained in a moment."

Izuku gulped nervously before turning to Kyouka. "I'm sorry, Kyouka, but Kacchan does know about One For All."

"And you didn't tell me about this why?" questioned the rocker girl, feeling betrayed.

"W-Well, I've been so focused on your training and enjoying hanging out with you that I honestly forgot that Kacchan was in on the secret," replied Izuku, tapping his index finger together in a shy manner.

The feeling of betrayal vanished upon hearing that as Kyouka blushed slightly at Izuku's reason.

"Fuck all that!" exclaimed Bakugou, causing Kyouka's eye to twitch in annoyance. "Why the hell did you tell Earlobes, Deku?!"

Kyouka turned to glare at the ashy blond. "I think the better question should be why did he tell you! You are the last person who should know about One For All, asshole!"

"What was that, Earlobes?" growled out Bakugou as he glared down the girl.

She just stood her ground. "You heard me!"

"K-Kyouka! K-Kacchan! P-Please stop!" stuttered out Izuku, not wanting Kyouka to get hurt. She might have gotten stronger, but Kacchan was relentless in a fight.

Kyouka turned to Izuku with a narrowed look. "How does he know?"

The One For All holder glanced away before looking back at his friend. "I-It was after the first lesson All Might gave us. You know, the lesson where a team of heroes went up against a team of "villains"? A-Anyway, after me and Uraraka beat Kacchan and Iida, Kacchan was upset…so I m-might have m-mentioned something to make him feel b-better."

The rocker girl had a blank look on her face while the bomb boy let out an angry growl.

"You told him about One For All that early?"

"N-Not outright, K-Kyouka. I only made mention of a Quirk that I was given. It was only after All Might's fight with All For One that Kacchan was able to piece everything together. We had to tell him after that."

"And once again Deku can't keep his fucking mouth shut and can't keep a secret!" growled out Bakugou, making Izuku flinch.

This earned him another glare from Kyouka. "Fuck off, Bakugou!"

"You fuck off, Earlobes! What right do you have knowing about this?!"

Her eyes narrowed dangerously at the angry boy. "I should ask you that question, Bakugou. The only reason you know is because Izuku took pity on a whiny little bitch throwing a temper tantrum just because said bitch was shown that he is not as great as he thinks he is."

Izuku wanted to grab Kyouka and run as Bakugou let off a series of small explosions.

"I on the other hand know because Banjo Daigoro, the fifth holder of One For All, is my great-great-grandfather. Unlike you I have more of a connection to One For All than you ever will, so don't you DARE tell me that I have no right to know when YOU'RE the one who doesn't deserve to know! Especially since you'll never understand what it means to be a true hero!" exclaimed Kyouka, looking ready to kill the boy before her.

Bakugou wanted nothing more than to put this bitch in her place, but was smart enough not to do it here. He did too know what it meant to be a true hero! True heroes were the strongest and he was the strongest! Next training session they had, he was going to show her why it was stupid to go against him.

With a growl, he stomped past her and exited the room, slamming the door on his way out.

With Bakugou gone, Izuku let out a sigh of relief, but flinched when he caught Kyouka's look.

"K-Kyouka?"

"Is there anyone else who knows about One For All that I should know about, Izuku?"

"Ano, th-there's Principal Nezu, Recovery Girl, Gran Torino, Detective Tsukauchi…Togata-sempai."

"…Th-That pervert?! The others I can understand, but why him?!" demanded the rocker girl.

All Might let out a sigh. "Because young Togata was supposed to be my original successor."

"Wh-What?" questioned Kyouka, not wanting to believe that. Why would Togata be chosen over someone like Izuku?

The retired hero nodded. "It's true, young Jirou. Young Togata was to be my successor, but then I met young Midoriya, who showed the heart of a true hero, and I chose him instead. I do not regret that decision."

"…Was Togata your choice to begin with? It sounds like you were forced to pick him."

'This girl is perceptive,' thought All Might. "I wouldn't say I was forced to choose young Togata, but Nighteye was persistent."

"Nighteye?" questioned Kyouka. She then turned back to Izuku. "Wasn't he the one you interned under?"

"Y-Yeah," replied the boy, looking uncomfortable.

Something was clearly wrong and Kyouka had a feeling it was not about Nighteye's death. She wanted to push the subject, but she didn't want to upset Izuku any further than he already was. Maybe it was for the best if they headed back to the dorms for now.

"Come on, Izuku," said Kyouka in a soft tone, as she gently grabbed his hand. "Let's head back."

"…Okay."

The two teens said their goodbyes to All Might, who was worried for his boy. He could only hope young Jirou will get him to open up and say what is bothering him.

-:-

Arriving back at the dorms, the two teens separated and head to their own rooms, but it didn't take long for Kyouka to make her way to Izuku's. She knocked a few times before opening the door and slipping inside, where she found Izuku sitting on his bed. She didn't like the depressed look he had on his face. Before she could say anything, he spoke up.

"Do you think I'm good enough, Kyouka?"

"Huh?"

"For One For All? Do you think All Might made the right choice in picking me as his successor?" asked Izuku, not looking up at her.

"Of course he did, Izuku! He chose you for a reason!"

"But if I were stronger, Sir Nighteye would still be alive and Togata-sempai would still have his Quirk!" said the boy with a whimper, tears building up in his eyes. "Maybe Sir Nighteye was right and Togata-sempai should have been the successor."

He felt movement next to him and the next thing he knew were her soft hands grabbing his face and gently moving it to face her.

"Izuku, I want you to tell me everything about this Nighteye guy and everything that happened between your first meeting with him to the moment he passed away. Can you do that for me?"

The boy wasn't sure why, but he couldn't deny her request. He told her everything. About what kind of person Nighteye was, Nighteye's time as All Might's sidekick and their falling out, the first meeting he and Togata-sempai had with Eri in the alleyway, Nighteye's reaction to that, the yakuza raid, and Nighteye's final moments. By the end, Izuku felt drained.

Kyouka on the other hand was pissed. She really wished she could have met this Nighteye guy and punched him right in the face!

"Nighteye was an idiot," said Kyouka with a slight growl, causing Izuku to jump slightly.

"Wh-What?"

"You heard me, Izuku! Nighteye was an idiot and I can prove it! For starters, he was obsessed with All Might."

"H-He was just a fan…"

"No, Izuku, you're a fan. He was a fanatic," replied Kyouka in a deadpan tone. "Him wanting Togata to get One For All is a sign of that."

"How so?"

"…I know you probably don't want to hear this, but appearance-wise Togata is the perfect replacement for All Might."

"O-Oh…"

"But unlike Togata, you are the perfect choice to succeed All Might because you know what it means to be a hero more than anyone. Your meeting with Eri proved that you're more of a hero than Togata is."

"Th-That's not true…"

"Izuku, you saw how distressed Eri was and was willing to run away with her in your arms to keep her safe from Overhaul then and there. Togata on the other hand didn't want to upset Nighteye and sent Eri back to that monster. When this was brought up to Nighteye, YOU are the one who gets scolded since saving Eri would have interfered with Nighteye's investigation.

It was only when everyone learned what exactly Overhaul was doing to Eri did Nighteye take action and that's only because he wanted to stop Overhaul's drug ring. Togata only got involved because he felt guilty, whereas you wanted to save Eri right from the start.

When it came down to it, YOU were the one to defeat Overhaul and save Eri, yet in the end Nighteye still acts as if Togata should have been the successor. As far as I'm concerned, Nighteye never knew what it meant to be a true hero. If he did, he would have understood why All Might didn't retire when All For One first injured him. So don't put yourself down like that ever again when you've proved multiple times that you earned One For All, okay?"

Izuku was in stunned silence as he listened to Kyouka's speech. He should have been upset that she said those things about Nighteye and Togata-sempai, but as he really thought about…she had a point. Thinking about it further, the only good thing to come out of his time at Nighteye's agency was that he saved Eri.

"…How is it that you're able to make me feel better about myself, Kyouka?" asked Izuku in a soft tone.

She wrapped her arms around his shoulders, holding him close, as she replied just as softly. "It's because you're my friend, Izuku, and I don't like seeing you all depressed like this."

He reached up to hold one of her hands, silently saying "thank you". The two just sat there, enjoying each other's company.

-:-

Nana and Daigoro were not happy.

"Nighteye is lucky he's in the afterlife and I'm here, otherwise I'd hunt him down for how he treated Izuku-chan!" growled out Nana, being the protective grandmother that she was.

"Never mind him! What the hell was Midoriya thinking by telling that angry brat about One For All?!" demanded Daigoro. That brat made his life a living hell for years and Midoriya STILL treats him like a friend!"

Nana let out a sigh. "That's just how Izuku-chan is. He wants to save everybody and he probably believes that his former friend needs saving from his own arrogance."

"Brat needs some damn therapy, yo."

"Definitely," replied Nana. She then gave off a grin. "Of course, Izuku-chan shouldn't have too much to worry about as long as he has Kyouka-chan by his side. It's adorable how much she cares for him and it's obvious that they'll only grow closer."

A growl could be heard from the super funky hero.

CHAPTER END

-:-

Truths have been revealed and the rivalry between Kyouka and Bakugou begins. Not only that, but you can see that Kyouka has grown to greatly dislike Nighteye as well. Izuku has clearly become precious to her in their time together and she'll be damned if she let's anyone badmouth the boy in front of her.

Of course, Daigoro doesn't like this new development while Nana is fully supportive of it.
