Magic for a day

Jade Star asked for a oneshot of Charming getting to use magic for 24 hours due to a spell gone wrong. He acts like a kid in a candy store, much to Emma and Snow's amusement.

Guest: That sounds like more of a multi-chapter story.

Guest: That kind of thing has been covered a few times.

Amy: Sorry, but I've said previously I won't be continuing with season 7 requests.

Thank you to everyone for their kind words yesterday, it means a lot 3

"Emma, ask me for a glass of water." Charming asked her…for the fourth time that day. Emma sighed.

"You know you don't need me to ask for it for the magic to work?" Emma pointed out. Charming pouted.

"Come on, please? It's much more fun if there's a reason."

"Go on Emma. You can do this any time you want. He's only got until sundown." Snow pointed out. She couldn't help but be amused at how amused Charming was that, thanks to a mistake by Emma, meant he had magic for the day. Emma sighed, although both her parents could tell there was no real annoyance behind the sigh. She was finding it just as amusing as her mom was.

"Dad, can you please get me a glass of water?" She asked. Charming grinned.

"Certainly, sweetheart." He said. With a small flick of his wrist, a glass of water appeared for Emma…upside down. The contents splashed over Emma's lap, soaking her. She leapt off the chair with a shriek of surprise. Meanwhile, Snow and Charming could hardly breath for laughing.

"Haha, hilarious." Emma grumbled as she used her own magic to dry her trousers off. "Not so easy, is it?" She commented to her dad.

"No, I guess it's not." Charming said. "You have to be really precise with what you're wanting." That gave Charming an idea. He smiled. Emma's eyes widened. She knew some kind of spell had been placed over her.

"What did you do?" She snapped at her dad.

"Oh, nothing." He said, feigning innocence. Emma gave him a suspicious look, but she didn't have time to question him.

"I've got to go pick the kid up from the bus stop. I'll see you soon." She said, getting up and leaving.

"What did you do to her?" Snow asked, knowing that look of her husband's.

"Oh, nothing serious." Charming promised as he got up and walked over to Snow. Snow also knew that look.

"Now, Emma's walking down to get Henry. She'll have to walk home again. I'd say that gives us at least twenty minutes. I can think of some wonderful ways to fill that time that don't require me to have any magic at all…"

Around twenty five minutes later, Snow and Charming would have just sat back down together in the living room as Emma swung the front door open with Henry in toe. She was clearly not amused. Charming, on the other hand, was biting his lip to stop himself from laughing.

"Why does every adult male I'm not related to suddenly disappear when I get within a metre radius?!"
