"So how has that new student of yours been handling her training?"
"Very well, actually. Young Jirou surprised me with how well she has been able to adapt, although this might be because of young Midoriya's influence."
Gran Torino let out a hum before he took a sip of his tea. When Toshinori had told him that another person found out about One For All, the old man was furious and wanted to put the blond idiot through the ringer. When he found out WHY this Jirou girl now knew about One For All though, Torino's anger turned into shock.
To think that there were descendants of the predecessors still alive and NOT under All For One's manipulations. This was why the old man was currently in the UA teacher's lounge so he could talk with the former Number One Hero.
"And you're absolutely sure she knows what she's getting into?" questioned the old man, giving his former student a look.
Toshinori let out a sigh. "Of course. Young Midoriya ad even tried to talk her out of it, but she is quite stubborn."
"So was Daigoro, from what I've heard," replied Torino with a smirk. The smirk then turned into a frown. "Have you found any others?"
"Not yet," said Toshinori with a frown of his own as he shook his head. "To be honest though, I hope there aren't anymore descendants. It's bad enough that All For One has corrupted young Tenko. I don't want to imagine what he'd do to the others if they exists."
"Neither do I, Toshinori, which is why we need to continue with the research. Both to find if there really ARE any more descendants out there, but to also help that boy of yours master One For All."
Toshinori hummed in agreement as went back to looking over the notes he already had on One For All.
-:-
It had been a long day of classes and Kyouka just wanted to kick back and relax. She was about to head out and over to Izuku's room to hang out with the cinnamon roll when her phone rang. Picking it up, she was surprised to see her mom calling her.
"Hey, Kaasan," said Kyouka after answering her phone.
"Hello, Kyouka," replied Jirou Mika in a tone that made her daughter raised an eyebrow.
'Something's wrong,' thought Kyouka as alarms went off in her head. It was that calm tone Kyouka had come to learn meant that her mom was upset over something. What that something was, Kyouka didn't know.
"Something wrong, Kaasan?"
"Hm? No, nothing's wrong. Although I am curious about something."
Now Kyouka was really confused. "Okay…and what would that be?"
"Kyouka…why didn't you come and visit when you were in town last Sunday?" questioned Mika, causing her daughter's eyes to widen in shock.
"H-How did you find out about that?" demanded Kyouka, knowing she wouldn't be able to lie her way out of this.
"I was out grocery shopping earlier when I heard your name being brought up," started Mika. "When I turned the corner I found a green-haired woman talking about you to a blonde woman."
'Blonde? Must have been Bakugou's mom,' thought Kyouka, remembering how Izuku mentioned how his and Bakugou's moms were best friends.
"After introducing myself, the woman introduced herself as Midoriya Inko and mentioned how you and a few others had come with her son to visit."
"W-Well when Jamming Yay and the grapist are the only ones from class that Izu-Midoriya's mom has met, I, WE couldn't let that slide," explained Kyouka, wanting this conversation to end.
Mika heard the nervousness in her daughter's voice and the accidental slips in her words. There was more to this than what Kyouka was letting on and she was going to find out.
"You still could have come and visited, Kyouka."
"In fairness, I didn't know we were going to Shizuoka until the day we went to visit Inko-san."
"Hm, very well, Kyouka. I do hope though that you'll visit this Sunday," said Mika.
"O-Of course I will, Kaasan!"
"And make sure to bring that Midoriya boy with you so your father and I can meet him," added the mother.
Kyouka froze. She could just hear the smirk in her mom's voice. "Wh-What?!"
"You heard me. I would like to meet this Midoriya boy. He must be important to you if you were willing to go meet his mother. So when you come to visit, make sure to bring him and only him."
"Eh?!"
"See you next Sunday, sweetie~"
The sound of the phone hanging up signified Mika ending the call as Kyouka just stood there, staring wide-eyed into space.
What the hell just happened?!
-:-
"What am I going to do, Yaomomo?"
Momo patted her friend sympathetically on the shoulder as the purplette buried her face in her arms after explaining to the raven-haired beauty what just happened.
"Will it really be that bad, Kyouka?" asked Momo. "I know you said that you want to keep Midoriya away from your parents, but what's the worse that could happen?"
"You mean aside from Izuku wanting nothing to do with me anymore because my old man is an idiot and will scare him away?"
"Oh don't be like that. I'm sure Midoriya has faced villains who are scarier than your father," replied the heiress. "Would you like me to come with you two to make it less awkward?"
Kyouka just shook her head. "My mom was adamant on it just being me and Izuku visiting them."
"Maybe she thinks you and Midoriya are dating?" suggested Momo, earning a glare from her best friend.
"We are NOT dating!" snapped the shy rocker, a slight blush on her face. Her insecurities started to get the better of her. 'Izuku-kun could do better than me anyway.'
"Regardless," started Momo, regaining Kyouka's attention. "You'll need to bring this up with Midoriya. He does have a right to know that your parents wish to meet him."
"…How long do you think I can delay the inevitable?"
"Kyouka…"
A sigh escaped the purplette. "Fine! If Izuku's smart he'll run as far away as he can and take me with him."
Momo watched as her friend left her room to find the greenie and had one thought running through her head that put a smile on her face.
'She really does care for him.'
-:-
The shy rocker was making her way over to the boys' dorm to find Izuku, trying to figure out how to explain to him that her parents wanted to meet him. She just knew that no matter what, Izuku was going to shut down in fear.
'Hopefully I can prevent that from happening,' thought Kyouka as she drew closer to her destination.
As she got near she heard voices thanks to her enhanced hearing. Peaking out from around the corner, she saw Ochaco talking with Izuku.
"Come on, Deku-kun! We really don't get to hang out anymore! You spend most of your time with Kyouka!"
Kyouka raised an eyebrow at that. What was Ochaco talking about? Yeah, she and Izuku have been hanging out more since she learned about One For All, but neither of them forgot about their other friends. She still hung out with Yaomomo and occasionally Jamming Yay and she knew Izuku still hung out with, as Mina called them, the Dekusquad.
Apparently Izuku thought the same thing if the confused look on his face was anything to go by.
"What do you mean, Uraraka? We still hang out. Besides, you know I'm helping Jirou-san with her training!"
The anti-gravity girl pouted. "But why does it feel like you're forgetting about m-us?"
"Wh-What?"
Seeing the boy in distress, Kyouka decided now was time to swoop in and save him from the third degree.
"Oi, Izuku!" the purplette called out as she walked towards them.
She saw the look of relief form on Izuku's face while Ochaco narrowed her eyes on her.
"H-Hey, J-Jirou-san. Did you need something?" asked Izuku. "Is it about our next training session?"
Her mouth wanted to twitch into a smile. "No, but I did need to talk with you about something important."
"Oh, okay," replied the greenie. He then turned to Ochaco. "Gomen, Uraraka. I'll talk to you later. I promise."
The brunette didn't want Deku-kun to leave, but it looked like she didn't have a choice. "S-Sure thing, Deku-kun."
She watched as Deku-kun followed after Kyouka down the hall, clenching her fists in jealousy all the while.
-:-
Izuku blushed up a storm as Kyouka led him to her room. This would be the first time he has been here alone with the rocker girl. Kyouka was doing no better since she also realized that she would be having a boy in her room.
'I don't know why that's making me nervous though,' thought Kyouka. 'Izuku-kun and I are always hanging out in his room alone.'
Once they were inside, a slightly red-faced Kyouka sat on her bed and patted the spot next to her, signifying where Izuku should sit. Blushing even further, Izuku hesitated a bit before ultimately sitting next to his friend.
"S-So wh-what did you need t-to t-talk about, K-Kyouka?" questioned the fluffy-haired boy.
Her nervousness was building up, but this needed to be done. "Well, I-Izuku…I was h-hoping th-that th-this Sunday you w-would come w-with me t-to m-meet m-my p-parents."
It was quiet as Izuku processed Kyouka's words, while Kyouka fidgeted in place. Once her words sank in though…
"Eh?!"
Kyouka watched as Izuku went from bright red to ghostly white. She had a feeling this would be his reaction.
"I know this is sudden, Izuku, but we really don't have a choice."
She went on to explain the phone call she got from her mom earlier, how her mom ran into Inko and found out about their last trip to Shizuoka.
"S-So your m-mom is upset that you d-didn't visit her and your d-dad?" asked Izuku, tilting his head slightly.
"Pretty much. She wants me to bring you along because she wants to see why you're, in my mom's words, important to me," explained Kyouka, tapping her earphone jacks together in a shy manner.
Izuku's blush returned full force. "I'm n-not th-that important."
"That's not true. You're very important to a lot of people, Izuku. Your mom, All Might, Eri, our class…me. We all care about you and we would be devastated if something happened to you," stated the girl, giving him a look of concern.
'Kyouka,' thought Izuku in wonder as he stared at the girl with wide eyes. He then gulped nervously. "S-So wh-what time on S-Sunday sh-should we head to your p-parents?"
It was Kyouka's turn to stare wide eye before she gave off a beaming smile. She then did an unexpected move when she more or less glomped the boy next to her into a hug. It took a few seconds for both teens to realize what just happened and when they did, they quickly separated and avoided eye contact.
"S-Sorry," mumbled out the red-faced Kyouka as she once again tapped her earphone jacks together.
"Th-That's okay," replied an equally red-faced Izuku. He glanced at his friend as a thought entered his head, wondering if it was a good idea. Hesitant at first, he soon reached his arm out and around her shoulders, pulling her close, much to her surprise. "Thank you, Kyouka."
She knew what he meant by that as she just sat there contently, resting her head on his shoulder.
They sat there in peaceful silence, enjoying each other's company.
-:-
Sunday had arrived sooner than Kyouka would have liked and she and Izuku were currently on the train to Shizuoka. Of course they weren't the only ones heading back home.
She cast a side glare towards Bakugou, who had his eyes closed and a scowl on his face.
'If it weren't for the fact that he promised Inko to visit his mom the next time he had time off, I would have told him to get lost,' thought the shy rocker. She then thought back to earlier before they left.
With it now common knowledge that they were both from Shizuoka, she and Izuku didn't have to come up with some story about why they were both heading out. Todoroki had actually left earlier before them, stating that he was going to visit his own mother in the hospital. With Tokoyami, Izuku had asked if he wanted to come with them or if he was going to visit his family later, only for the bird-headed boy to state that his parents were currently out of the country on business, meaning there was no one at home for him to visit. Tokoyami appreciated the concern Izuku showed, but otherwise said that he didn't need to worry about him.
That just left Izuku, Kyouka, and Bakugou heading to Shizuoka on their own, much to Kyouka's chagrin.
Luckily for the shy rocker she didn't have to deal with the bomb boy for very long. The train pulled into the station and once they disembarked they went their separate ways.
"Tell Obachan I said hi, Kacchan!"
"Fuck off, Deku!"
Rolling her eyes, Kyouka ignored Bakugou as she and Izuku headed off to where her parents lived. But first…
"Did you want to stop to see your mom before we headed to my place?" asked Kyouka as they walked.
"M-Maybe after we visit your parents. I…I may have called her and explained what was going on today," stated Izuku, glancing away. "Is that okay?"
"Considering our moms have already met each other, this probably was going to be unavoidable," replied the shy rocker with a sigh. She then got serious. "Okay, do you remember what I said about my old man?"
"Th-That he's going to try and s-scare me away?"
"Good, you remembered. Just know that he, while embarrassing, is mostly harmless," explained Kyouka. "But if it does become too much for you and you need to run…make sure you take me with you."
"That does not give me a lot of confidence of this going well," said Izuku, starting to get nervous.
"If I had it my way I would keep you as far away from my folks as possible," replied Kyouka with a grimace.
"I guess all we can do is to stay positive," added Izuku. "M-Maybe we'll get lucky?"
As drew closer to Kyouka's house, her grimace turned into a scowl when she noticed a blond man looking out of the window, glaring at Izuku.
"That's a negative, Izuku," she said as she pinched the bridge of her nose in frustration, while Izuku shook in fear. "I swear I'm going to kill him."
The shy couple reached the door, only for it to swing open. Standing there was the blond man, glaring down at Izuku as Kyouka glared at the man. Before the man could speak, Kyouka beat him to the punch.
"Don't even think about it, old man," she growled out.
"Kyouka, I am your father and as you father I am allowed to interrogate the boy who dares think he can get close to you!" exclaimed the blond man.
The purplette could only hide her face in her hands, embarrassed by her dad's behavior. She wished she and Izuku could be anywhere else right now. Luckily, the Jirou matriarch decided to intervene by jabbing her husband with her earphone jacks.
"Stop trying to scare Kyouka's friend, Kyoutoku," said Mika in a deadpan tone.
"But Mika! He's a boy!"
"I can see that. Now be nice," replied the woman as she readjusted her glasses. She then turned to the teens with a smile. "Hello, Midoriya-kun. It's nice to meet you."
"It's n-nice to m-meet you as w-well, J-Jirou-san," stuttered out Izuku with a slight bow.
Mika could only giggle at how shy the boy was. 'No wonder Kyouka seems to like him. They're two peas in a pod!'
Stepping aside, and pulling her husband along with her, Mika let Kyouka and Izuku into the house where they all then went to the living room where Kyoutoku dove right back into his interrogation.
"Alright, boy! What are your intentions with my little girl?!" he demanded as he glared at the fluffy-haired boy.
Izuku shook like a leaf while Kyouka let out a growl. "Damn it, old man! He's just been helping me with hand-to-hand combat training!"
"You've been hitting my little girl?!" exclaimed Kyoutoku, his glare of Izuku becoming fiercer and making the boy even more terrified. Luckily for Izuku, he was saved when the Jirou women jabbed the blond man in the ribs with their earphone jacks. "Gah!"
"That's enough, Kyoutoku," stated Mika, giving her husband a narrowed look.
The man rubbed where he was jabbed with a frown on his face. "But Mika!"
"Grr, why do you have to be so embarrassing, old man?!" demanded Kyouka with a growl as she glared at her father.
"Hey! I'm just looking out for your wellbeing, Kyouka!"
Kyouka could feel her eye twitch in annoyance before turning to Izuku. Time to get under her old man's skin. "Any chance your mom would let me move in with you and her?"
"E-Eh?! Wh-Why w-would ask s-something like th-that?!" exclaimed the now red-faced Izuku, shocked by the question.
"Hmm…you're right, I don't know why I asked that. I already know she would let me move in since she's YOUR mom," replied Kyouka with a smug look while Izuku looked ready to shut down mentally.
Kyoutoku could only stare wide-eyed at his daughter, trying to comprehend what he's just heard. Mika on the other hand had to hide a smirk. She knew what her daughter was trying to do, but it was quite curious as to why she would go this route to do so.
'She must truly like this boy if she's willing to use that threat against Kyoutoku to get him to stop,' thought Mika, taking a sip of her tea as she glanced at her near comatose husband. 'Hm, I wonder what our future grandchildren will look like.'
The shy couple had spent a few hours at the Jirou residence, allowing the rocker girl's parents to get to know Izuku. Mika could safely say that she liked the boy. He was adorable and it was clear to her that he was good for her daughter. Kyoutoku was more reluctant, but Mika could tell he liked the boy as well. She just had to get him to admit it out loud.
"I'm not saying it," said Kyoutoku with a slight pout as he watched his daughter leave with the boy after they had said their goodbyes.
Mika just rolled her eyes. "Kyoutoku, you can't hide things from me. Now answer me truthfully. What do you think of Midoriya Izuku?"
He let out a groan, relenting to his wife's request. "He's an okay kid, but I still don't like the idea of Kyouka dating."
"Technically, they're not dating," started Mika, causing her husband to brighten up…only to take it away with her next words. "Yet. It was obvious that Kyouka has feelings for that boy and that Izuku cares deeply for Kyouka. I'm sure that they'll continue to grow closer as time goes on."
"Why'd you have to go and say something like that?" asked Kyoutoku with another groan.
Mika could only giggle as she comforted her husband and tried to convince him that no matter what that Kyouka will always be his little girl.
-:-
After leaving her parents' place, Kyouka and Izuku went to visit Inko for a bit before heading back to the dorms. While making their way towards the train station, Izuku's phone vibrated, telling him he got a message.
"Oh, it's from Todoroki," stated Izuku as he opened the message. "Apparently he ran into Kacchan at the station and the two of them are already on their way back to the dorms. Looks like it'll be just the two of us then."
A slight grin appeared on Kyouka's face. "So we'll actually get some peace and quiet on the way back? Awesome. Although I do feel sorry for Todoroki for having to deal with him."
Izuku let out a chuckle at that. "Well Todoroki is better at ignoring Kacchan than most people, so he should be fine."
"True," replied Kyouka as they reached the station. After boarding the train and finding some empty seats, she glanced over at the greenie, nervous. "So…I know we pretty much spent the entire day together, b-but d-did you w-want to keep h-hanging out when we get b-back?"
She just got that smile that made her insides warm.
"I'd like that, Kyouka."
-:-
Daigoro could feel the annoyance building up, as he had to listen the giggles coming from the woman next to him.
"So that overprotective streak is genetic, huh?" questioned an amused Nana, referring to Kyoutoku and how he acted towards Kyouka.
"Shut up! It's a father's job to protect their daughter!" exclaimed the funky fresh hero.
"Mm-hm," replied the raven-haired woman, before another grin appeared on her face. "I wonder how protective Kyouka-chan will be once she and Izuku-chan have a child of their own."
"I'll castrate him!"
"Oh shush. You know that once it happens that you'll be happy to have another grandchild. …I wish I could say the same about myself."
Daigoro frowned, his agitation leaving him as he looked at Nana and the frown on her face. He knew what she was referring to.
"Hey, you and I both know that Midoriya will knock some sense into Tenko one day. When that day comes, not only will All For One be gone for good, but maybe Tenko will finally realized why you made the decision you did and forgive you. You just have to be patient, yo. Besides, I thought you claimed Midoriya as one of your own?"
Nana looked over at the bald man, before watery smile came to her face. "Th-Thank you, Daigoro."
"Don't thank me for telling the truth."
"And you're right, I did claim Izuku-chan as my own grandson. That means one day, you and I will be in-laws," said Nana, her smile turning into a grin again, knowing the reaction she was about to get.
"God damn it, woman!"
Giggles echoed through the air once more at Daigoro made plans to have a "talk" with Midoriya.
CHAPTER END
-:-
I wanted this to go up much sooner, but I'm never that lucky.
In the beginning of this chapter I brought up the idea of other descendants of the One For All users, but chances are that Kyouka will be the only one featured in the story since she actually looks like she could be related to Daigoro (it's the eyes). With what we know about the other wielders, in terms of appearance, I can't see any of the other established characters related to them believably. Of course that could change once we get the names and Quirks of the remaining wielders.
