Shigraki was charging straight towards All Might, intent to kill plain as day, "Stop it!"
Deku charged towards Shigraki with determination to save his hero, however because he could only move at regular man speed, All Might turned into dust the moment Shigraki touched him.
BUT DON'T WORRY GUYS! IT'S MORE INTERESTING THAT WAY!
An alternate take
Kurogiri formed a portal in front of Deku that Shigraki pushed his hand out of. Deku would have met his fate, if it weren't for a bullet piercing the hand. Deku started laughing as Shigraki's eyes widened, "All according to plan."
"You planned this?!"
"Naturally."
Another alternate take
Shigraki and co. emerged from a black portal in the hero training area, "Heroes! Where is All Might-"
He stepped on a small device that released knock out gas, knocking him and everyone else out. Aizawa turned to Deku, "How did you know?"
"Because I'm Deku."
Last one, I promise.
Shigraki was about to touch Tsu's face to use his quirk, but Deku shot his hand, "It worked!"
"Where did you get that?!"
"Prep time."
"How?!"
"Prep time. I already told you."
Before I get started, I do want to say that I love MHA. I think it's a really good show and I loved it so much, I started reading the manga. Today I'm gonna talk about the dumbest criticism against the show.
This one's gonna be fun. In case you couldn't figure it out, I don't agree with the idea of Deku being quirkless would make a more interesting show.
A common defense of this criticism is that Batman exists. Yeah, that's why I don't like this criticism. If you made Deku normal, you would have to pull so much god mode stuff out of nowhere that it would get old.
After the scene in Heroes in Crisis where Harley Quinn single handidly beats Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman, I will always find the 'normal is best' thing stupid.
In context to the show, you would have to fundamentally change everything about it. To the point where it would be dull and generic.
See a pattern here? Deku getting One for All was the best way to go about it, because it had an actual impact on the story and helped give it more depth.
One for all really does add intrigue to the story. I'm not gonna say that this show doesn't have any problems, hi Mineta, but Deku getting One for All isn't one of them.
I also like the nod to realism with this. Batman or characters like him should get destroyed by some of the people they fight and the only reason they don't is non-powered god mode.
So yeah, I do think that Deku shouldn't have been quirkless and him being such would have damaged the show overall.
