Magic for a day- part 2
CharmingsDaughter asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch2814 "Magic for a day" where Charming does a tracking spell on Emma that lasts longer than his 24 hours and Emma finds out.
"DAD!" Emma screamed when she came through the door. Snow was alarmed at the sudden sound of Emma's enraged voice and jumped slightly where she sat. Charming, on the other hand, looked more like he'd just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
"What did you do?" Snow asked him. Charming gave her his "get out of jail free" smile.
"I was just acting as a concerned parent…"
"Concerned parent my ass!" Emma shouted as she stomped into the room. Snow sighed and rubbed her temple.
"Language, Emma. The last thing we need is for Neal to wake up from his nap with a brand new word to share with us. What's the problem?" Emma pointed an accusing finger at her dad.
"I knew there was some kind of spell over me, but I couldn't work out how. Your magic only lasted one day. But that didn't stop you casting a long lasting spell right before your magic vanished now did it?" Emma accused him. Charming gave his daughter the same smile.
"Now, to be fair, you do have quite a bad habit of running off and getting yourself into sticky situations without any backup. This just gave me peace of mind to know that my baby girl wasn't up to no good…"
"Bullshit!-"
"Language." Both her parents chastised her. Their combined stern looks was just enough to have Emma close her mouth and sit down. Although she was clearly still fizzing inside.
"Ok, maybe a tracking spell was a bit of an extreme reaction, but in your dad's shoes, I can't say I wouldn't do the same thing." Snow admitted. "He has a point, you can be a little rash sometimes. If I had magic for a day and had the opportunity to keep a closer eye on you for a few days, I would." Emma opened her mouth to retort, but Charming cut her off.
"Your little trip to the forest yesterday proved me right though, didn't it?" Charming pointed out. Emma gave him an unbelieving look.
"You swore." She snarled. Charming just gave her a look.
"I wouldn't have said a word if you weren't acting up so badly." He pointed out. He could tell Snow was wondering what was going on. "Someone took a little trip into the forest when they got word that there was a gathering of George's followers. What she wasn't expecting was for them to be prepared for magic people and have brewed up some magic preventing potions. Just as well I happened to be on patrol in that area with my sword, ay Emma?" Charming asked her. Emma glanced at her mother, who clearly couldn't believe Emma had gone after them all. Emma just sighed. Well, she wasn't going to be able to convince her mother her dad was out of line now?
