Tantrums ahead

Alex asked for a oneshot of Emma seeing a little kid throwing a tantrum. Emma then teases her mom about how funny she thinks it's going to look when Neal gets to that age and her mom has to deal with it. It backfires on Emma because Snow answers her that she doesn't have to wait to have to manage one of her children having a tantrum. She recalls the toaster incident.

"BUT I WANT IT NOW!" The little boy screamed before throwing himself onto the grass and slamming his fists repeatedly against the ground. His face was beginning to turn purple. Snow and Emma did their best to be polite and not look at the occurring temper tantrum in the park as Neal played, but it was hard not to watch. Eventually, the mom just scooped the still screaming toddler up and carried him away (still kicking and screaming). Snow and Emma both watched the car drive off, feeling relieved they weren't that mom.

"Well someone's not having a good day." Snow commented. Emma nodded in agreement. She then grinned mischievously.

"You know, little bro is gonna hit the terrible twos in a few months. Won't be long until it's you trying to battle with a screaming toddler. I won't lie mom, I'll be bringing out the popcorn those days." Emma teased her mom. Snow didn't bat an eye. She knew exactly how to respond.

"Oh, I'm sure it won't be that bad. After all, I have experience when it comes to dealing with my children and tantrums. After all, Neal isn't an only child, is he Emma?" Snow said calmly. Emma looked back at her in confusion.

"Huh?" She asked. "I've never taken a tantrum as an adult." Emma said. Snow didn't look so sure.

"Remind me why you're not allowed to make toast again, sweetheart?" Snow commented. Emma went pink.

"That was…totally different!" Emma spluttered as she too recalled the toaster incident from not long before the curse was broken.

"Uh huh." Snow responded, amused. "We have a naughty step on standby, just in case." Snow teased her daughter. Emma mumbled something under her breath, slouching down on the bench. Snow couldn't help but laugh. That would teach Emma to bring up Neal's oncoming terrible twos.
