A/N: I'm not used to writing in first-person, but it was essential for this story, so I'm sorry if I make some mistakes. I go between first and third person when changing the POV between the main character and Avengers. I do not own the Avengers, but the main character was my creation.
As soon as I get home, I immediately go to the kitchen to make popcorn. It's finally the weekend, so I can continue my Marvel Marathon. Last weekend I made it through the first eleven movies and tonight I plan on watching Avengers: Age of Ultron and maybe Ant-Man if it doesn't get too late. I consider myself a "True Believer." Or in other terms, a really, really big fan of the MCU. I've seen every Marvel movie at least 10 times each, but I still love to watch them in chronological order every once in a while.
I grab the bag of popcorn out of the cupboard and throw it in the microwave for two minutes then go into the living room to set up the movie. Once the popcorn is done, I dump it into a bowl, sit on the couch, and press play. Except, the movie doesn't start. I grumble and get up to go see if the router is working. When I see that it is, I go and sit back on the couch. Maybe it's just taking some time to load.
After about ten minutes of waiting, my patience starts to wear thin and I've eaten half of my popcorn. I'm about to stand up to bang on the T.V. when the screen turns white.
"What the hell?" I say. The screen starts to get even brighter and soon it becomes unbearable. I squint my eyes and quickly unplug the T.V., but the light doesn't stop. In fact, it becomes so intense that when I close my eyes it feels like it's burning through my skull. I immediately put my hands over my eyes and curl onto the ground, hoping to block out the light. The last thing I remember was an icy pain. It felt as though my skin was on fire, but freezing at the same time. And then, I blacked out.
The Avengers were all sitting around a conference table at— the newly labeled— Avengers Tower. They were discussing their recent attacks on Hydra bases in their search for Loki's scepter.
"Maria Hill has a lead another Hydra base in Sokovia. However, she refuses to name her source, so it's safe to say that I'm skeptical," Tony pointed out.
Steve was the next to voice his opinion. "I trust Maria and getting this scepter is a priority. If she says that there is a Hydra stronghold in Sokovia, then we need to listen."
"I'm guessing you're going to want the big guy in on this one?" questioned Bruce and Natasha gave him a look of sympathy.
"How about we bring you on the Quinjet. If it turns out to be nothing then you can stay on the plane," Steve offers. Bruce gives him a quick nod.
Tony was about to speak up again when JARVIS cut him off.
I'm sorry to interrupt sir, but we seem to have a problem.
"This better be important," Tony said as he looked up at the ceiling.
There is an unidentified female that is unconscious on the floor in the gym.
"What?!" Tony shouted as he stood up.
"How did she get access to a restricted floor?" Tony asked at the same time that Steve asked "Why is she unconscious?"
I have no data on how she gained access. She seemed to just appear on my scanners.
Natasha stood up and grabbed one of her guns while the others stood around stunned by the fact someone made it past JARVIS.
"I don't know about you guys," she said, "but I'm going to go find out who this girl is and why she's in the tower." Then she strode out of the room.
Clint looked at the others and shrugged before following Natasha out of the room. The others were quick to go after the two and caught up to them before the elevator doors closed. Tony put his hand in between the closing doors and they opened back up. The Avengers all piled into the lift as it went down to the gym floor and no one said a word.
When the elevator stopped, Natasha lifted her gun and pointed it into the gym.
"JARVIS. Is there anyone else on this floor?" Natasha asked the A.I.
I do not detect any excess heat signatures. The girl is alone.
Natasha nodded and slowly stepped passed the elevator doors. She kept her gun raised as she walked to the far end of the gym where the girl lay unconscious.
Clint tapped Natasha on the shoulder. "I think you can put the gun away. She's not going to hurt anyone in the state she's in," he explained.
She seemed hesitant, but eventually nodded and holstered her weapon. Bruce walked towards the girl, crouched down, and checked her pulse.
"She's alive, but weak," he said. And then the girl groaned.
Everything was dark and it seemed like all of my senses were dulled. It was as if I was floating in a dark abyss. Time was nonexistent. I could have been there for years and have it only feel like minutes. My mind felt as though it was stuffed with cotton until I heard the voices. At least, I think they were voices?
A muffled sound flooded my ears as a dim light entered the void I was in. The light slowly got brighter and soon, my senses all came rushing back.
The first thing I noticed was pain. My head was pounding as if someone had taken a hammer to my brain and my skin was left with a tingling sensation like my body had fallen asleep on me.
The next thing I recognized were the sounds. I could hear the patter of footsteps as they drew nearer. I listened to the hushed words of familiar voices.
My limbs felt like weights when I tried to move, so I just layed there, listening. It wasn't until I felt a pressure on my neck that I was drawn back to reality. I groaned in both pain and annoyance because my body was sore, but wouldn't move.
It took everything in me to do it, but I finally opened my eyes.
A/N: I've read a lot of good 'sucked into Marvel' stories, but none of them were quite the way I wanted them, so I decided to write my own. Sorry if it's a bit cringy at first (I didn't know how to bring her into the Marvel Universe).
I know I have a few stories going right now, but I'd like to get all my ideas down so I can come back to them rather than forget. I will be updateing as much as possible!
