Chapter Three is here!
I'm actually really motivated to write chapters for this story now
I don't have a plan on what will happen in the chapter beforehand,
Only vague ideas.
However once I start writing I can't seem to stop.
Enjoy!

Third Lie: It Doesn't Hurt Anymore
OoOoO
"Coffee?" Lucy nodded briefly, mumbling a quiet thank you when the drink was handed to her. It was a rather awkward awakening that morning, Lucy opening her heavy eyes unwillingly and blinking away the bleariness until she could clearly see Natsu facing her, head propped on his arm and intense Onyx eyes staring at her as she slept. He had gone red when he noticed she caught him staring and her cheeks flamed just a darkly as his.
They didn't greet each other a Good Morning, He had turned his back to her to change and she had done the same to walk into the bathroom. Freshening up in the washroom she could hear the faint sound of his clothes rustling around in their room and she knew he could hear the same from the washroom. Lucy wouldn't have doubted if he could hear her breathing, Mavis knows just how well his hearing is now.
She had gone to her daughters' room to check on her while he went to the kitchen to brew some coffee and prepare for the camera crew that would becoming by rather soon. Lucy sipped her coffee, two cream just as she liked it (she was surprised that he had even remembered such a useless thing), and skimmed through her social media, mentions of her and Natsu appearing in We Got Married popping up frequently. It seemed the matter was becoming quite the hot topic.
She drowned out the camera crew that came in soon after her coffee had disappeared and simply kept herself busy by checking her social media and replying to a few random things that had been posted either about her or one of her other celebrity friends-she wouldn't dare draw attention to someone who didn't already have their spotlight in the media. She didn't like the thought of people stalking her close friend's social media and perhaps bothering themselves with a search for them and their personal information.
It even scared her that people could find things out so easily about herself sometimes.
She acknowledged her manager's presence with a quiet greeting, even the caffeine from her coffee couldn't wake her up enough to give her friend a warmer greeting. Erza simply sighed and clicked her tongue at Lucy, "I thought I told you to get more rest Lucy?" She did. Lucy remembered the strict tone Erza had when she had requested her to relive her mind for a few hours of rest. That didn't change the fact that her mind decided attack her with unwanted thoughts and memories. "This isn't good for your health, for you to be like this."
"Erza, I'll be fine." She assured her manager lamely. Lucy didn't expect her to believe her however, it was a rather weak attempt. "I'm just not used to this place yet is all." Erza had disregarded her excuse before she had even finished it. The woman would never take any excuse when it came to her well-being.
"Lucy I'm being serious," Erza sat across from her at the dining table she had seated herself in and gently rested her hand over her own. "I don't want you exhausting yourself to the point that you will pass out because you didn't get enough sleep." Lucy doubted she would get to that point anyway, sure she was tired but not to the point that she would collapse in a pathetic heap on the floor without a will to move herself.
"What's going on here?" Natsu had come up behind them and suddenly Lucy wished Erza had gone back to nagging her so much that she would have just gave in and promised to get some rest. Even if it would have been a lie.
"It's nothing you should be concerned about Natsu." She didn't even spare him a glance and instead kept her eyes trained on her hands that were surrounding her empty cup of coffee. Perhaps she needed just a little bit more, she could feel her eyes beginning to droop and she doubted the producer would want a half-aware celebrity being interviewed for his show. "I'm going to grab some more coffee before I have to go for my interview." She left before anything could be said. She felt slightly dizzy from how quickly she had stood and began to walk over to the kitchen but she stayed steady until she was able to lean against the counter beside the coffee-maker.
With frustrated sigh she gripped the handle of the pot and began pouring out the coffee into her cup. Perhaps she shouldn't have done it until she had really awoken though; she had closed her eyes for one moment and then opened them wide the next after the heated coffee dripped onto her hand. She was well aware now at least. Lucy whimpered slightly and rushed over to the sink, drenching her hand in lukewarm water, ease the pain slightly.
"Lucy why didn't you tell me you didn't sleep?" Again Lucy found herself regretting not speaking to Erza about her past before all of this. She didn't turn to him, only turned off the water and flicking small droplets off her hands and into the sink. A shuffle and the sound of movement brought her attention to the cloth that was offered out to her. However she avoided the person who had given her a small gesture of kindness in favor of carefully inspecting the red-tinted skin on her hand as she dabbed at the dampness. "You even ended up getting yourself burned because you didn't sleep well."
"I just wasn't paying close enough attention."
"And why was that?"
"I was thinking."
"Penny for your thoughts?" Not even a few hundred dollars would do. She stayed quiet and the silence surrounded them, Natsu's quiet sigh being the only thing she heard. Lucy wondered how the staff was being so quiet, but she was thankful for their thoughtfulness towards them and her daughter who was still peacefully sleeping as she should at five in the morning. "You know we can just ask the producer to hold off on the interview so you can get a little rest in between."
"No," She shook her head, her lips forming a taught line and the crease between her eyebrows deepening. "I'm not being the one to postpone filming and creating more trouble for anyone else.
"I'm sure they wouldn't mind Luce-" He paused when she gave him a look and he coughed awkwardly into his hand. "-Lucy, really the guy is really understanding so I'm sure this would be no big deal or anything." Again she shook her head and let out a little huff.
"I'm not requesting a delay Natsu, you cannot change my mind."
"My God-" His frustration would have been amusing had she not been so annoyed with his pestering. She watched diligently as he raked his hands (she briefly wondered how they had gotten so calloused over the years) through his hair, she waved uncomfortable feeling she got and gulped noticeably when he sharply turned to her. "-Why the fuck do you have to be so damn stubborn?! We're just worried about you Lucy!"
"I'm not being stubborn-you and Erza are just concerning yourself with something that is non-existent." She quipped and reached back for her coffee, taking a rather large gulp and almost coughing at the bitterness of the plain coffee. She most certainly did not appreciate black coffee the same as he had this morning.
"Are those dark circles under your eyes that I'm seeing non-existent as well?" She would have protested his accusation had he not begun to speak right after, "Don't even try to hide it, you need better skills in make-up by the way because they are still quite apparent underneath all that concealer." Well excuse me; I apologize for not being as good as a professional.
"What do you want Natsu?" She finally turned to him, a hand rested on her hip, and the tiredness beginning to really show in her face as she weakly glared at him, "Because honestly, I don't have the patience nor the energy to deal with you bothering me anymore."
"I want you to rest."
"And I will," She told him. "After the schedule has been cleared and Nashi has gone to bed again." Her name was called and finally, it was time for her interview. She felt slightly sick but she placed down her drink, straightened her shoulders, and put a more relaxed look onto her face as she walked out of the room.
…
She hadn't spoken much after her interview, Nashi had woken up and she had prepared her a quick breakfast as the producer explained where the cameras in the house were and that every once and while they will get a task to complete, as she remembers, to stir up the romance between the two. Lucy felt rather sick thinking about it but she decided not to worry, for now, she would only put more stress on herself if she were to think about it.
The dance room was the place where she felt the safest in the building, it felt even better when she could see Nashi on the floor in the corner of the room, drawing on a piece of paper. Lucy began to practice some of her duet she was doing with Gray, the parts that she could do without him, and silently went over the steps in her head, counting.
One and, Two and, Three and, Four and…
"Mama?" She heard her daughter from her spot in the room and she glanced toward her as she turned, seeing her continue to look down at the tablet in her hands. Lucy hummed and encouraged her daughter to continue speaking, "Are we going to be living here now?"
"Sort of," Lucy mumbled, it wasn't exactly incorrect however the duration of time they would be staying is not the same as Nashi had been thinking. "This is more just for an entertainment aspect. So Mama and you will be living with Natsu for a few weeks."
"Will we get to have fun?"
Lucy laughed at her daughter's innocent question. She hadn't been around much at all lately and so her daughters had to sit off on the sidelines and watch her shows or watch her mother interact with all these strange people and never getting much time with her. Lucy wanted to spend more time with her daughter however work was beginning to get busier for the blonde and so her schedule was not allowing her much free time to spend with her daughter. "We will get to have lots of fun." Nashi cheered.
"And you don't have to work?"
"Mama will still have to work but not a lot." Nashi nodded to her mother's response, satisfied that she will be getting more time with her mother.
"I like Mr. Natsu, he's nice." Lucy paused in her steps, looking at her young daughter in the mirrors before her. Her heart was racing, and her head was throbbing, her daughter's innocent remark hit dead on with the very person that Natsu was.
"Did he talk to you?"
"Yeah!" She cheered. "He said that I was pretty like my Mama and said that after we stay for a bit we can go to the waterpark together!" Of course, Natsu would think of a way to get her daughter to warm up to him. He always was able to get people to have a good time and as much as she hated to admit, she was glad he was able to put a smile on her daughters' face.
"That sounds like a good idea."
"I'm glad you think so." Her eyes snapped over to the doorway where Natsu was now standing leaned against the frame as he stared at her. He moved his gaze to her daughter, Lucy remaining unmoving as he tousled her hair and watching as she giggled and batted his hand away from her. "We're going to have a lot of fun while we are here, don't worry Nashi." He glanced over at the blonde who stood still. "I haven't seen you dance for so long."
"I don't do a whole bunch of well-known things that are publicized."
"You went on Broadway, didn't you?" Natsu questioned. He knew of most of her performances that she did, her name was always something that stuck out to him whenever he was out on tour with his bandmates. It was impossible for him not to notice her achievements. It was something she always strived to achieve, and she was shining brilliantly as she did it. "They had a recording of your performance, everyone in the band saw it."
Lucy was slightly surprised by what he said, she hadn't imagined they would've recorded her performance, and yet here Natsu was telling her otherwise. "It wasn't anything grand, I was just a background dancer."
Natsu shook his head at her, she undermined herself way too much. "You were amazing Lucy, don't try and play it down." He turned to Nashi and poked her cheek, "Your Mama was amazing with her dancing, wasn't she?" Nashi giggled and smiled, leaping up out of her spot on the bench in the room and running to her mother to hug her around her legs.
"Mama's a good dancer!" The feeling of her daughter's arms wrapped around her legs and her cheerful smile warmed the blonde's heart as she ran her slender fingers through her daughter's pink hair. Her daughter would get teased about her hair color often however she would always tell Lucy that she loved her hair color and loved the eyes that looked so much like her own. Lucy never failed to tell her daughter how beautiful she was.
Natsu stared at the two girls, he could tell Lucy was extremely happy by what her daughter said as she bent down to hug her daughter. He's seen so many different expressions on the blonde's face, hatred, adoration, love, sorrow, and sadness but never before has he seen her look so serene as she held her daughter in her embrace. He was drawn to it, craved to be apart of what the two had but he was unsure as to why he felt so strongly about the two. All Natsu knew is that as the director called them all back upstairs to the family room that he would give anything to be able to feel a part of their family. Wanting nothing more than for Lucy's eyes to turn back to him once again.
