Keyring

A guest asked for a oneshot of Charming getting Emma a keychain that says "Daddy's girl". She's embarrassed, but she still clips it onto her keys and smiles when she sees it. Contains minor season 6 spoilers.

Neongenesisevang: Sorry, but I think you hit the nail on the head yourself. Pottermore's more Ginny's thing than Snow's, me thinks. Also, thanks, but I know the Hogwarts house colours haha. #TeamYellowAndBlack.

Emma loved her family more than life itself. That didn't mean she didn't notice when her parents pulled out the cringe factor. When her mom wiped something off her cheek without batting an eye. When her dad gave her a lecture before she went out at night about making sure she got home safe and kept in contact with them. Or in this case, got her a new keyring for her parents' place with the keys attached. He claimed it was the only one the dollar store had left in stock, but Emma knew that wasn't true. She just let it slide though, she had to pick her battles. Besides, deep down inside (although she would never admit it aloud) she found it sweet. As sweet as a thirty year old can find her father giving her a keyring in bubble gum pink with luminescent green writing proudly proclaiming "Daddy's girl". Emma pulled the keys out her bag once she was safe in her own home, away from prying eyes. She smiled at the cheesy little keyring. Ok, so it wasn't exactly her cup of tea, but she appreciated the sentiment behind it. So she would never bring the keys out anywhere in public, but she would know they were in her bag. She would know how much her dad cared.
