Magic the manual way

TheGirlWhoDanced asked for a oneshot of Henry daring Emma to use a replica Harry Potter wand and do some spells. Snowing encourage her too. They're all shocked when it works.

"This is stupid." Emma muttered. "I get it, I have magic, do we really need to make Harry Potter references?" She grumbled.

"Uh, yeah." Henry told her. "Come on mom, for me? It's just for fun." He said, using the sweet little voice he knew broke his mother every time. Emma gave him a stern look. He knew using that look was playing dirty.

"Come on Em, humour the kid." Charming urged her. "He's right, it's just a little fun. Go on, say it."

"Say what exactly?" Emma asked him. "I was never really into Harry Potter. I had better things to be doing than obsessing over some English kid going to school." She complained.

"Then it's no big deal saying one of his spells with the little wand Henry got you." Snow pointed out. "I know a few. There's defendo, wingardium leviosa, lumos…"

"Oh alright, lumos." Emma spat. Suddenly, the whole room was engulfed in a dazzling light. Emma immediately dropped the wand, causing the light to stop.

"Wh-what was that?" She stammered. Henry, Charming and Snow all exchanged slightly amused, slightly terrified, looks.

"Anyone else grateful we didn't ask her to say avada kedava?" Henry asked. His grandparents nodded. That would have been disastrous.
