Communication

Jade Star asked for a oneshot of *season 6 spoilers!* Snowing find out their loved ones are in the Netherworld when they wake up. They use their connection with Emma to give them hope that they will save them.

Guest: sorry, but that kind of thing has been covered before.

They couldn't communicate with any of their loved ones. Not properly. That didn't mean, with a little bit of magic, that they couldn't send some form of message across. And since true love was the most powerful magic of all, it was their best shot at letting them all know they were working on waking them up.

Immediately after Snow and Charming realised their friends weren't waking up after drinking the curse, they sought Rumplestiltskin's help. With a bit of nudging from Belle, he agreed. He explained that everyone was trapped in the burning room anyone who had been under a sleeping curse had been trapped in. Snow and Charming had winced at that. They both knew that room all too well. Rumple informed them that there was no way for them to contact the burning room. He couldn't even guarantee they were all in the same version. The problem was, the more people that panicked, the harder it would be for everyone to wake up. He couldn't get them a way to communicate traditionally with anyone, but that didn't mean there was nothing that could be done. He reminded the Charmings of the power of true love. True love that they shared with their daughter.

After that, he gave them a small vial of potion. He instructed them to each take a small sip before giving Emma a small sip too. This would strengthen their connection to each other. Allow them to feel what the others were feeling. Snow and Charming gratefully took the potion and rushed back to their home and did as they were told.

Charming squeezed Snow's hand as Snow poured a small amount of the potion into Emma's mouth.

"Will this work?" Snow said quietly, watching Emma's face intently.

"It will." Charming assured her. It had to. It was their best shot at saving everyone. Almost immediately, they both felt an effect. They each felt a surge of panic. Their poor daughter. Who knew what torments she was going through? "We need to stay calm." Charming reminded Snow. "It's the only way we might get through to Emma." Snow nodded, trying to focus on remaining calm. Gradually, both parents felt the panic inside them diminish somewhat. They hoped that was a sign that Emma could feel their presence. That she knew they were coming for her, and everyone else.

Neither of them were able to see Emma, as she felt a quiet reassurance grow within her. She didn't know what it was, all she knew was that something out there was telling her that everything was going to be alright.
