Ash opened his eyes to a horrific site. He was on a battlefield, and Pokémon were fighting. Not battling, with moves, but actually fighting. With a horrified look on his face, Ash swiveled around. There was Charizard, his Charizard, fighting another with stripes on it. There was a Blastoise fighting another Blastoise with similar stripes, and it was the same thing with a Venasaur. Everywhere Ash looked, there were Pokéḿon fighting other Pokemon.
Ash gasped. Pikachu was there! And there was another. . .the other Pikachu was slapping him, but he didn't fight back. Why?
Looking around, he saw all the Pokémon looking exhausted. Were they being forced to fight?
And-wait, was that Misty? And Brock? What were they doing there? Just then, two Pokémon flew down to the battlefield. One was Mew and the other was-
MEWTWO?! Ok, now Ash was lost. Just what the hell was going on here?
Mew and Mewtwo were building up attacks. . .they would be devastating if they unleashed them! Ash wanted-no, needed to do something, but. . .this was a dream. He couldn't do anything.
Just as the attacks were sent, he heard a voice, screaming at them to stop. He turned and saw. . .himself? What the hell? Did this already happen? The other him looked pretty young. . .sowas this when he was traveling through Kanto? But if that's so, why didn't he remember it?
He-the other him, of course, ran in between the attacks. Yup, that was Ash alright. But why. . .?
Other-Ash was enveloped in a pink light. When it died down, Ash was. . .stone?! He floated gently to the floor. Pikachu, his Pikachu, ran over to him and shook him. Ash didn't respond. Pikachu sent a bot of electricity, over and over again, but nothing worked. He knew Ash was gone, but he didn't want to believe it. ''Pikapi!'' he kept crying. But it was futile. Other-Ash was dead.
Ash shook his head, confused. So this is the past. . .but if I died, how did I come back to life? And why don't I remember any of this? I think I would remember dying. . .
Mew chattered. Mewtwo shook his head. ''Foolish human,'' he said, ''why did he. . .?''
Finally, Pikachu gave up and started crying. Around the field, all the other beings, people and Pokémon, were crying. Their tears started glowing, and they floated to the entombed Ash.
Ash started to glow as well, and suddenly, as the light surrounded him, he was lifted up, and, in midair, was turned back to flesh and bones.
Mewtwo floated up with the clones with him, saying, ''I will go to find what you already know so well.''(I can't remember the exact quote, and I'm in school, so I can't exactly look it up. I tried, but. . .oh well. Sue me.)(don't actually please.)
And with that, everything went black.
Percy watched worriedly as his brother twisted and thrashed and groaned in his bed. He had been doing this for a while, and Percy desperately wanted to wake him up, but he knew the importance of dreams in this odd world he lived in, and he didn't want to be the cause of making Ash forget something important.
It went on for another hour, and with each passing second, Percy grew more and more anxious, until finally, Ash bolted up in bed, gasping and sweating like he had just run a marathon.
What shocked Percy the most, however, was the fact that Ash was crying. He had done so last night, but. . .the usually optimistic trainer rarely cried.
"Hey," Percy called out softly, "you alright?"
Ash whimpered, shaking. Percy's eyes widened in understanding. This was a form of PTSD, no doubt. But. . .if it WAS Post-Traumatic-Stress-Disorder, why now? Could it be. . .that Ash had forgotten something, and just remembered? But. . .if so. . .what?
Finally, Ash calmed down, shaking, wiping his eyes, and gave a small, shaky smile to Percy.
"S-sorry," he apologized.
Percy started. "Wha-no! Don't apologize!" he said hurriedly. "Whatever that dream was, it must have been pretty bad," Percy continued softly. "D'you. . .want to talk about it?" he offered tentatively.
Ash bit his lip and shook his head. "I-no, but thanks," he replied softly.
Percy nodded, then went to get dressed, Ash soon following.
Blue stretched her arms, grateful to be out of that cramped cabin, following her brothers and their friends as they chatted cheerfully. She couldn't figure out how they were able to take this in stride, but with the stories she's heard about Ash, maybe she shouldn't be surprised.
She scanned her friends, trying to figure out what godly parent they might have.
Misty - both her parents died when she was young, or so she was told, so she was a wild card. She could be Ares, givin her quick temper and her tendency to lash out, or maybe Poseidon, because she loves water?
Dawn - well, she would have thought Aphrodite, but her godly parent was her dad. . .Apollo maybe? She did have a flair for the dramatics, and from what she'd heard, Apollo was very dramatic. She also seemed to have a thing for poems? And Apollo was the god of poetry. . .
Paul was a sort of wild card. Blue didn't know anything about him, other than he had fought Ash at a league a couple of years ago, and that he had lots of strong Pokemon. She didn't know anything about his parents. . .and he wouldn't tell her even if she asked, Blue assumed. Paul was scary, with his cold, calculating eyes. . .kind of like Annabeth, who looked like she had been through hell and back. Maybe they were siblings? That would mean he was a son of Athena. . .
Green and Gary were both smart, funny and mischievous, almost carbon copies of each other. If Green was a child of a god, Blue was probably the daughter of that same god, but who? Blue was two when Gary was born, but Gramps had said that her father was a great man, so was her godly parent her mom? But who? Possibly Aphrodite, though she didn't really care about looks. . .she knew Green and Gary both took great care to make sure they looked good, although sometimes Gary pulled an all-nighter, because of his research. . .Blue was trying to get him to break that habit, but it was harder than it seemed.
But then again, all three of them were smart. They were all good in battle, and had assisted Gramps at one point or another. Maybe Athena? She couldn't tell. . .
"-ue? Blue!"
Blue started, looking at her friends/brothers faces, which were all concerned, except Paul, but from what she'd seen and heard, that was the norm for him.
Blue chuckled nervously, scratching the back of her head. "Uh - sorry, guess I spaced out. . ."she said, hoping no one picked up just how nervous she was.
Green stared at her, not buying it. Blue cursed inwardly. Green was always the best at seeing through her lies. She could never hide anything from him.
"A-anyways, let's go to breakfast! I know I'm hungry!" Bue said, trying to distract everyone else.
The others nodded and said words of agreement, and they headed towards the dining area. Green fell in step ith her, telling the others to go ahead, that they'd catch up with them.
Green shoved his hands in his pockets, walking in sync with her. "So. . .you gonna tell me what you were thinking about?" he asked, paying no mind to the other campers.
"Nothing, okay? I wasn't thinking about anything," Blue answered, hunching down as she tried to avoid the stares.
"Why do I feel like you're not telling me the truth?" Green asked dubiously.
Blue stopped walking and turned to face him. "And why do I feel like this has nothing to do with you?" she snapped.
Green winced at her jab. Blue felt bad, she really did, but she kept going.
"You don't always have to pry into my life, Green! Okay, so I don't stay in touch as well as everyone else. But you can't just expect me to tell you every little thing! You don't own me Green you're not in charge of my life, so stop acting like you are, and butt out!"
Green clenched his fists, neither of them paying any attention to the other demigods gathered around, including their - his friends, she reminded herself, she barely knew them, even Misty.
"I'm not butting in! Jeez! Is it so bad to want to know what's happening in your life?" Green yelled back.
"It is when you won't stop asking, no matter how many times I tell you to drop it!"
"Oh, so now you're mad that I care? Would you rather me just never talk to you at all, if you hate me so much!?"
Blue blinked back tears. She knew she should stop, she really should, but she couldn't help it. All of her anger, fear, and sadness just came pouring out. She didn't register Ash coming up behind her, or Gary torn between letting them fight or stopping them.
"Blue," she heard someone call out softly. She ignored them. Green stood there, trembling, with sadness or anger she didn't know. Blue breathed heavily, and just snapped.
"I'M SORRY, OKAY?!" Blue yelled finally, breaking the silence that had fallen over anyone. Green stood there, shell-shocked as more words poured out of her. She didn't know where they were coming from, but she just let them out. It felt really good.
"I'm sorry that I'm a horrible sister. I'm sorry that I can't do anything right. I'm sorry that I barely know anything that happened, that I never paid attention to stories, or leagues, o-or grand festivals. I'm sorry that I know next to nothing about anything that you all talk about. I'm sorry that I never visit, that I never keep in touch. I'M SORRY THAT YOU GOT STUCK WITH SUCH A SHITTY GIRL FOR A SISTER!"
Blue stood there, trembling, as tears fell down her face, waiting for Green to say something, but he didn't. He just stood there, mouth moving but nothing came out. Finally, he got his jaw to work properly. And when he did, he did the most annoying, unbelievable, incredibly stupid thing to do. He laughed.
Blue sucked in a breath, watching as the boy to whom she had just poured her heart out to laghed. He grasped his stomach, gasping for air. He was about to talk, but Blue cut him off.
"Save your breath," she told him, trembling with rage. "I guess I'm just a joke to you, huh? You probably wish I was never even born."
Green stopped laughing, staring at her in horror. "Blue, no, I-"
Blue just shook her head, running off, pushing past the other kids. She heard someone call out to her faintly, through the rushing in her ears, but she kept running. She finally collapsed on the shore of the beach, far from the others. Far from Green. She knew someone would come check on her eventually, but she didn't care. Her legs were burning, lungs feeling as if they were being torn apart. She sucked in air, sweet air, and pulled up her knees to her chest, tucking her chin into them, deciding to just sit there and rest until someone inevitably would come.
A/n: okay, kinda short, but I really wanted to focus on Blue.
they'll get claimed within the next 2 chapters. for now, who do you think will be claimed by who? I'd love to see what you think.
