Taken together

A guest asked for a oneshot of...read and see.

I'm on holiday this week, so if you've got requests now might be a good time :).

How could anyone have escaped it? The family were sitting in their home, minding their own business, when Charming was the first to notice it. A curious smell growing around them. Before he could even point it out to Emma and Snow, he began to feel very drowsy. That's when he knew there was a problem. Snow and Emma both began to notice it as well. They tried to get to their feet. To discover the source of the gas or escape the house, but it was too late. They all fell back against the sofa, out cold.

When they all woke up, they found themselves deep in the basement of Storybrooke General. Down where the mental hospital was. The only saving grace being that they had at least been kept together. They didn't know why that was. Perhaps to avoid suspicion, or maybe because it made it easier for him to come by and gloat about their capture. About how little Neal was settling in with the fairies, who had taken him in since the family had disappeared, and they weren't exactly the most vigilant babysitters. He knew how to press each of their buttons. He'd become an expert at it in the mere few days they'd been held captive by him. He knew Emma's blood boiled when he brought up her failing magic, her rocky fate. He knew if he brought up Neal, all three of them wanted to lunge at him, but especially Snow. He knew if he inched closer to Snow or Emma that Charming was thinking about strangling him with his bare hands.

So while he was away for the night, the family plotted how they would overthrow him and escape. Followed by another restless night. Emma was under the illusion that her parents slept alongside her, however sporadic her sleep was. But how could they sleep? There was no telling how their son was, was he being well looked after? Was he scared? Then there was Emma to worry about. Sure, she was in the same room as them, but they didn't exactly make her easier to protect. They were all chained to the wall. Clearly, Hyde had it out for Emma. He didn't like Saviours. How could they sleep when they knew Emma could be so easily taken by him? But they were all ready for his morning visit. When he came to once again remind them how helpless they were. How they were right where he wanted them. Not for long.

As soon as Hyde opened the door, the three sprung for him. Rushing as far forward as their shackles would allow. Hyde smirked. Did they all think he was stupid? Their shackles weren't even long enough for them to reach each other, let alone him. Still, they kept fighting to reach him.

"My, my, we are all antsy today, aren't we?" He remarked casually. He strolled confidently over to Emma, who was on the righthand side of the room. It was the closest he had ever come to any of them since he locked them in that room. It was too close.

"Step back." Charming snarled, fighting harder against his restraints. Hyde ignored him. What exactly could he do? He smiled down at Emma, who was trying hard to be able to fight him.

"Your shackles are special, Saviour." He sneered. He tapped one. "Magic preventing. Not that I need have bothered, ay? It seems your magic is having a few issues these days." He added with a chuckle. He suddenly reached out and wrapped his hand tightly around one of Emma's fingers. "These are feeling a bit shaky, aren't they?" He sneered. Emma looked him dead in the eye, refusing to give him the satisfaction of a proper reaction. Meanwhile, her parents fought all the harder to get to her.

"Get away from our daughter." Snow demanded. Hyde still didn't listen. Instead, he bent Emma's finger back until his snapped. Emma couldn't help but react. She let out a yelp at the searing pain in her hand. Hyde smiled, clearly delighted by her pain.

"I think it's time these patients got some sleep. Don't you agree, Nurse?" Hyde asked without turning around. A man walked into the room, a needle in his hand. He approached Hyde and Emma.

"You've made your point." Charming growled. "Now leave her alone." Hyde chuckled.

"Don't you want your daughter to rest, Prince Charming?" Hyde asked. "Do it." He ordered the nurse. On Hyde's command, the nurse stuck the needle into Emma's neck and plunged the liquid inside. Straight away, Emma fell back asleep.

"Emma!" Her parents cried out, terrified.

"What was in that?" Snow demanded. "What have you done to our daughter?"

"Well, why don't you find out?" Hyde offered. He jerked his head in Snow's direction as Emma fell to the ground, unconscious. Despite Snow's struggles, she too was injected, she too fell unconscious.

"No!" Charming yelled, trying to get to his wife and daughter. What had he done to them? He looked up at Hyde. Again, he tried to lunge at him, to attack him.

"I'll kill you!" Charming screamed. "Nobody touches them, nobody! I'll kill you!" Charming could feel the shackles digging into his wrists, but he didn't care. He was going to get to Hyde and make him pay. Hyde wasn't the least bit scared. Hyde smirked once again.

"Perhaps you need some rest too." Hyde said quietly, beckoning the nurse forward. The nurse approached Charming, not fazed by his clear anger. He plunged a needle into Charming's neck. Within seconds, he too was unconscious and on the ground.
