Cookie thieves

Fangirl448 asked for a oneshot of something with "See Emma, I knew this was a bad idea…"

juliet: I think I've pretty much covered that scene to death haha. You pretty much wrote your own wee chapter there haha.

Guest: you made 2 requests just there.

Arianna: You've asked me for similar things before, I'm not comfortable writing something where someone is gradually stripped by supposed robbers.

Can I just add, although some detail is helpful, some people basically write their own request with how much detail they put in haha. If you give me too big a request, it can make it very difficult to work out what you're actually wanting.

"Dad, are you sure this is such a good plan?" Emma asked, continually checked behind her in case her mom came back home. "She's bound to notice the difference…"

"Nonsense. She uses the Nestle recipe." Charming explained. Emma had to admit she was surprised at that one. Although she supposed cookies weren't exactly a thing in the Enchanted Forest. Even if they had been, it's not like her mother would have been the one doing the baking, so it probably made sense that she didn't have her own recipe to use. "She'll not notice that we've switched out a few for the packaged ones. Look, you can see for yourself that the look identical." Charming pointed out, holding one of the store bought cookies beside the tray of Snow's homemade ones. Emma had to admit that, had they not been held separately, she would not have been able to tell the difference. Charming could see her resolve wavering. "I bet they taste identical too…" Emma sighed.

"If they taste identical, then why don't we just eat the store bought ones?" Emma pointed out.

"Ah, my righteous little daughter, because we both know that nothing tastes better than freshly baked cookies, still warm from the oven. Your mother won't be out at Neal's mommy and me class for longer than another hour. By then, her cookies will also be cold, and therefore, lose their edge over the ones I bought. We have one shot here. Your mom will never know. Neither will the people at the bake sale tomorrow. It'll be our little secret." Charming promised her. Emma licked her lips. She had to admit, he did have some good points. What the heck, she supposed one or two cookies being swapped wouldn't take away from her mom giving up her morning to bake them. Emma took one of her mom's cookies off the tray and then took one from her dad's hand to replace it with.

"Just me. I forgot Neal's diaper bag. What are you two doing?!" Snow asked, catching Emma in the act. Emma dropped both cookies, the homemade one and the store bought one. She looked like a dear caught in the headlights.

"Emma Ruth Swan, what exactly do you think you are doing?" Snow chastised her, putting her hands on her hips. She then turned her attention to Charming. "And why exactly are you standing by and watching her?" She asked. Both Charming and Emma gulped at the look Snow was fixing them with.

"Every man for himself." Charming mumbled under his breath. Emma just caught what he said. She turned round to ask what that was supposed to mean, when Charming sighed dramatically.

"See Emma, I knew this was a bad idea…"

"EXCUSE ME?!" Emma screeched. She could not believe she had been betrayed!

"Now Emma, don't go turning around on me. This was your master plan. I was just foolish enough to go along with it. After all, we all know you've got me wrapped around your little finger." Charming spieled, trying to look as innocent as possible. Meanwhile, Emma looked furious, whilst Snow just rolled her eyes.

"Oh please. You're the only one who knows which brand and type of cookies I use the recipe from." Snow reminded him. "I know you like them hot too." Charming grinned sheepishly. She had him there. He walked over and pressed his lips against Snow's neck.

"They're not the only things I like hot." He growled quietly. Snow rolled her eyes again, although she melted slightly against him. She couldn't deny that she found it hard to stay mad at him for any great length of time. Emma, on the other hand, was still grouchy.

"You still sold me out." She grumbled. Charming smiled over to Emma, his arm around Snow's shoulders.

"How about you get to keep all the store bought cookies for yourself?" Charming bartered with her. "And I'll do your paperwork for a week." Emma still looked miffed. "Aw, come on princess. You don't really want to stay mad at me, do ya?" He asked, looking up at her. Emma sighed.

"Damn Prince Charming." She grumbled, snatching the packet of cookies and heading for her room. Charming grinned. He knew how to win round his girls.
