Snoring

GrantL1991 asked for a oneshot of Emma snoring continuously. She wakes up her parents and Neal every night. Eventually, Snowing tell her and she gets embarrassed.

Guest: I'm afraid I've done the whole "shouldn't have watched a horror movie now scared shitless" thing.

Ok guys, let's get real for a moment. I promised myself that I would let this story run its course and when the requests stopped coming, I would let it end quietly. I still (semi) intend to keep that promise. However, OCF is just so damn close to 10,000 reviews (less than 100 to go) and 3000 chapters (just over 100 to go). Can we try and reach those two goals, for me? I know I still have a couple of requests to write. It's nearly 1am here, I'm staying overnight with friends, but wanted to at least post something today, while I still have just under a week before going back to school and having less writing time. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported the story over the years. It means so much to me.

"I take it that plan didn't work then?" Snow grumbled, still using the pillow to cover her ear.

"No." Charming sighed in defeat. She just keeps turning over onto her back again. She's determined, gotta give her that." He groaned, getting back into bed beside Snow. Neal was still whining.

"I know buddy." Snow sighed, patting his back as he squirmed on her chest. "Sissy snores pretty loud, huh?" They didn't know if it was a recent thing, or whether Emma had always snored and they just didn't notice until they also had a newborn keeping them up half the night.

"We've gotta tell her, Snow." Charming said. "She can get something from the chemist to help her. We can't go on like this. It's bad enough with Neal keeping us awake."

"I know." Snow reluctantly agreed. It just wasn't going to be a pleasant conversation.

So, like before any difficult conversation, Snow and Charming buttered Emma up. They got in her favourite lunch from Granny's, and Charming even let her away early from the station. Of course Snow saw right through that as him hoping Snow would just have the conversation one-on-one with Emma. It was a nice try, but wasn't going to work. She waited until he too was home before they decided to broach the subject.

"Emma, sweetheart, uh…" Charming began awkwardly. How could he phrase this? "Have you ever thought about getting one of those little strips people put over their noses at night?" He asked. Emma's brow furrowed.

"Little strips?" She asked. "Huh?" Charming's cheeks had turned pink.

"You know." Snow took over. "The special ones…for people who snore." She explained, going equally as pink as Charming. Now Emma felt mortified.

"I snore?" She asked. Snow and Charming didn't respond, but Emma knew that meant yes. "Why didn't you tell me ages ago? It's not like I've ever had a roomie to tell me." Emma pointed out.

"I never noticed before." Snow defended herself. "It was only after Neal was born and we were both awake at night we found out. You always fall asleep after us." Snow reminded her. Emma guessed they had a point. She rubbed the back of her neck awkwardly.

"Well if it's that bad, I suppose I could go round to the chemist later today and see what they've got in stock for snorers."

"They have a few things, like the strips." Charming added. His cheeks went pinker. "I happened to be in there the other day for diaper rash cream." Emma nodded, not saying a word. How many other people had she pissed off throughout the years with her night time noise without even realising it?
