Back home
Effervescent Dreamer asked for a oneshot of Emma waiting eagerly at the airport for Henry to come home from his first semester at university. Snowing think it's cute seeing Emma like this. Emma hugs Henry so hard she nearly tackles him.
"His flight isn't here yet. Why isn't his flight here yet?" Emma demanded, pacing up and down as she kept an eye on the planes coming into land.
"Possibly because it's not due for another five minutes?" Charming suggested, smirking. Emma ignored him and continued to pace.
"Do you think if I pointed out how adorable she looks all anxious for Henry, she might take me out?" Snow joked quietly enough so Emma couldn't actually hear her.
"You should be ok. She hasn't got her powers outside of town." Charming joked back, each quietly laughing at their daughter's antics. They knew she was bound to be excited for Henry's return. They all hadn't seen him since they dropped him off at college in September. He was now home for Christmas, and they were all practically bouncing off the walls with excitement. Emma especially. She had missed her kid.
When they saw Henry's plane touch down, she screamed so loud Snow and Charming were surprised she didn't cause a security alert. Then began the anxious wait for him to get through security.
The family made their way quickly over to as close to the security gate as they possibly could. They kept their eager eyes peeled, waiting for any sign of Henry. Emma (of course) was the first to spot him as he pulled his suitcase behind him, clearly looking for them.
"HENRY!" Emma yelled. She then put her time as a bail bondsperson to good use and swiftly dodged through the crowds, building good momentum as she reached her son. Snow and Charming just stood back and let the pair have their moment. Emma collided with Henry at such great force that she nearly sent him back through the security gate. The security officer on duty looked rather alarmed until he saw Henry hug Emma back.
"I missed you kid." Emma said, beginning to tear up. "So much."
"I missed you guys too." Henry said, giving her a light squeeze. Emma was reluctant to let Henry go, but she did. She linked arms with his, smiling up proudly at her boy. She was so glad to have him home.
