Presentation
KatCS15 asked for a oneshot of Emma going back to school and having a presentation to do. She is freaking out with nerves. Snowing comfort her and give her confidence.
"And it is because of that we are able to…no, due to this discovery we can…ugh!" Emma sighed in frustration, dropping her cue cards. "This is pointless. I suck at this. I don't know why I bothered enrolling."
"Don't be like that." Charming said gently, bending down and gathering her notes. "You were doing just fine."
"No I wasn't." Emma said, sounding defeated. "I was all over the place. I hate presentations. My brain gets all scrambled and I end up looking stupid. Always have." Emma told them. Snow and Charming felt awful for her. She really hadn't been doing that bad.
"I was new to speeches once." Charming reminded her. "Unlike your mother, when I became a royal, I was just sort of thrust into these kind of events, and it wasn't like George offered any assistance or training. I found my way eventually, and you're already much better than I was to begin with. You just need to believe in yourself a little more." Charming said, giving her an encouraging smile. Emma couldn't smile back, she just felt stupid.
"Your dad's right Em." Snow chimed in. "You were doing great. You were giving good eye contact, you were speaking at a good pace. Your dad's right, it's just you believing in yourself that's the issue. Don't let one little stumble fool you. You can do this Em. You're going to pass this module, and what's more, you're going to blow the lecturers away with how amazing your presentation is." Snow told her. Charming wrapped an arm around Snow.
"Exactly. We have every faith in you." He added. Emma nodded shakily, her cue cards now back in order. She took a few deep breaths. She knew, on some level, that they were right. She couldn't just give up. That wasn't the way in their family. She could get through this. She wasn't going to mess this up.
