Chapter 19: It All Comes Down To This
Meanwhile, tempers continued to flair around the ring as both Captain John Price and Master Chief began duking it out with one another. Of course, the momentum went all the way to the Captain's side, forcing him to leap on Master Chief and surprise him with a whole flurry of punches to Chief's helmet visor.
"John Price going all over Master Chief!" Cole exclaimed.
"I'm not sure if that's crazy or a mistake, but props to him for what he's doing!" Tazz chuckled a bit unsurely.
"Well, if I were him, I wouldn't scoot him way too far!" The King shook his head before pointing out to the ropes, "Look what they're leaning on!"
The force of momentum that the captain caused both John Price and Master Chief to tumble right over the top ropes and onto the floor, eliminating the both of them out of this matchup altogether!
"I think we got more casualties coming!" Tazz replied.
"That was a big mistake for both men," JR nodded, "A mistake that now got them both out of the Rumble!"
"Those two will never live that regret down!" The King nodded as well.
124th Elimination: Captain John Price; Eliminated by: Master Chief; Duration: 4:15
125th Elimination: Master Chief; Eliminated by: Captain John Price; Duration: 49:16
While both Master Chief and John Price took their leave from ringside. Solid Snake took his sweet time lifting up Tina Armstrong right by his shoulders in an Oklahoma Slam position, attempting to get her over the rope which he managed to do successfully.
Tina, however, wasn't looking to go out easily though as she managed to hang on to the apron ropes, attempting to stay alive despite Snake still trying as hard as she could to push her right off.
"I think Snake's about to score a big one here!" JR pointed out.
"Uh oh, hang in there Tifa!" The King cried nervously.
"It's Tina, King!" JR said to The King, "You're confusing her with Tifa Lockhart."
"My bad, JR!" The King replied, "It's not my fault they have long hair."
"Wehe might be saying goodbye if Snake can get her feet to touch the floor." Cole explained.
As Tina struggled to hang on for dear life, it wouldn't be long before Vincent Valentine came from behind Solid Snake and lifted his legs right off the mat, forcing Tina to use her hands to pull Solid Snake's head and leaving him tilting over the ropes and right onto the floor, eliminating Snake right out of the match!
"And there goes Solid Snake!" Cole exclaimed.
"Whoa!" Tazz exclaimed as well, "That's gotta sting for Snake!"
"Definitely didn't do him any good since that humiliating moment with Nathan earlier!" JR nodded.
127th Elimination: Solid Snake; Eliminated by Tina Armstrong and Vincent Valentine; Duration: 16:31
As Solid Snake walked away from ringside feeling dejected in defeat, the camera immediately scrolled right back in the ring as both Paul Phoenix and Snow Villiers were on the apron trying to punch each other off so that one of them would hit the floor.
"Uh-oh, got a stalemate going here." The King gulped in horror, "Look at the position they're in!"
"Paul Phoenix and Snow Villiers are looking to eliminate each other from this Rumble!" JR replied.
"I wonder which one of them is gonna hit the floor first." Tazz asked.
"I think we're about to find out, right now Tazz." Cole said.
The King then raised his eyebrow in question, suggesting to the three, "Well, if they're not careful, someone's gonna knock both of them off the apron!"
After the two were done punching, however, both Paul and Snow attempted to choke each other by putting their hands on both of the respective person's neck.
However, the two failed to look to the ring to see Cammy White rush right at them, decking them both with a running dropkick that sent both Paul and Snow off the apron and onto the floor, getting both men out of the match to a tremendous pop!
"Paul Phoenix and Snow Villiers are both out of the match!" Cole shouted.
"No way, how stupid were they to not see Cammy coming?!" Tazz said, hitting his forehead in frustration.
"I don't even know, Tazz," JR mentioned before adding, "But regardless, we're down to 21 contestants left in the ring!"
128th Elimination: Paul Phoenix; Eliminated by: Cammy White; Duration: 9:52
129th Elimination: Snow Villiers; Eliminated by: Cammy White; Duration: 37:52
As both Paul Phoenix and Snow Villiers picked themselves back to their feet, Tifa Lockhart came from behind Cammy White and tossed her over the top rope, yet managed to remain on the apron just for safety.
"Cammy almost went out!" Cole said.
"That was a close one," Tazz replied, "Thought Cammy was a goner there!"
As Cammy got back onto the apron however, Tifa rammed in with a running knee and nailed Cammy right in the face, which knocked her off the apron and felled on top of both Paul Phoenix and Snow Villiers, eliminating her from the rumble all together.
"Whoa, now she's out!" JR yelped.
"Looks like I spoke too soon, it seems!" Tazz nodded.
"Now we're down to 20 contestants!" Cole replied, "And we still have a lot more to go!"
"It's now getting down to the nitty gritty!" The King said.
130th Elimination: Cammy White; Eliminated by: Tifa Lockhart; Duration: 1:41:00
Meanwhile, as the camera got one last look at Cammy exiting ringside, the camera scrolled back to the ring to once again see Johnny Cage up to his usual a-holish antics as ever. Yet once more he was diving back into that magical trash can to see what kind of weird unusual stuff he was looking to dig out.
"Oh boy, this is gonna be fun." Tazz smirked out.
"Johnny Cage is looking for a weapon of some sort from that trash can." Cole mentioned.
"We've seen a lot of weird things come through that can," JR pointed out in curiosity, "Who knows what else is gonna pop out?"
Johnny Cage looked around for several seconds before he pulled out what seemed to be a big Super Soaker 200 water gun, mostly coming from 1992. The fans immediately went wild seeing this, knowing how much they wanted a weapon like that in the match.
The King was puzzled at this sight, "What on earth? Is that a Super Soaker?"
"Looks like it, King!" JR said, adjusting his glasses.
"I think we might see some wet t-shirts, tonight!" Tazz grinned.
"Hopefully if you're lucky, Tazz." Cole chuckled half-heartedly to the ECW legend.
As much as Johnny Cage wanted to see some wet cleavage for himself, he knew he couldn't have the time to once he saw Simon Belmont trying to set up Lightning with a big Jackhammer.
Before the vampire-slayer could lift her up though, Johnny shouted over to him with a smirk doing his best Richter Belmont impression, "Die monster, you don't belong in this world!"
"You call me a monster?" Simon said to Johnny as he let Lightning go, "I am no monster you-"
Before he could say what he wanted to say though, Johnny squirted his Super Soaker all over Simon's entire face, revealing the liquid to be hot sauce instead of water. It was quite painful for Simon's eyes to feel, making him very blind from all of the hot sauce pepper liquids!
"Wait a minute, that's hot sauce!" The King quickly pointed out.
"You mean to tell me that's not any Super Soaker Cage is shooting out?" Tazz asked his partners.
"Apparently not, Tazz!" JR nodded, "And it looks like it's super effective too!"
Johnny Cage's little hot sauce attack managed to blind Simon pretty good, leaving the vampire-hunter backing himself toward the ropes.
Then, using his incredible footwork, Johnny Cage connected big with a huge Shadow Kick, nailing Simon's face to the point that he tumbled over the top rope and fell to the outside floor, eliminating him to another power-packed applause!
"Oh, and Johnny Cage gets rid of Simon Belmont!" Cole shouted.
"Yeah, looks like it was Simon that got slayed that time." The King smirked in unison.
"Tough luck for that dude," Tazz chuckled, "I think his symphony is done for the night!"
131st Elimination: Simon Belmont; Eliminated by Johnny Cage; Duration: 57:39
As Simon became the next defeated contestant to take his leave, the camera switched back inside the ring again to see Lara Croft kick Tina Armstrong right in the gut before the adventuring Brit whipped Tina right to the ropes.
When Tina bounced right back, Lara launched her right up in the air attempting a pop-up powerbomb, only for Tina to counter with a big hurricanrana! The strength of the move was so strong that it launched Lara right towards the ropes, where she leapt over the top rope and onto the floor, catching Lara by surprise with an epic elimination.
"Wha- no way!" The King yelped.
"Yes way, King!" JR nodded before saying, "Lara's gone!"
"Can't believe another pair of puppies are gone, JR!" The King said, groaning very sadly, "I swear, it's always the good ones that go!"
132nd Elimination: Lara Croft; Eliminated by: Tina Armstrong: Duration: 6:50
Meanwhile, as Lara was still at a loss for words though, the camera ran back to the ring in time just to catch Nathan Drake get thrown over the top rope and onto the floor from behind, courtesy of Jin Kazama
"Whoa, someone just went flying out of there!" Tazz yelped a little.
The King then guessed out with wonder, "I think it looked more like Nathan Drake that got eliminated."
"You're more than right, King!" JR nodded to the Memphis native, "That was one quest Nathan couldn't complete!"
133rd Elimination: Nathan Drake; Eliminated by: Jin Kazama; Duration: 45:54
Nathan Drake soon found himself walking away in defeat, right at the same time Kratos was busy choking the hell out of Morrigan right on the apron, mostly as a way to incapacitate the life right out of her.
"Oh, this isn't looking good for Morrigan!" Cole shook his head.
"Kratos definitely showing everyone he doesn't give a damn if you're a man or a woman!" JR shook his head as well, "He will stop you in your tracks!"
"Somebody save Morrigan so that someone can stop this crazy freak!" The King shouted, literally someone to come help the succubus
Fortunately for The King, Dante managed to swoop right in, coming in after Kratos from behind with a Full Nelson lock.
But instead of choking him out though, Dante took the god-slayer and slipped him right over on his neck with a dragon suplex!
"Whoa, Dante with a Dragon Suplex!" Tazz yelped a bit.
"Looks like Dante just saved Morrigan for the time being." Cole explained.
"Thank you, Dante!" The King said in relief, "Thank you so much!"
The demon-slayer immediately went right over to Morrigan and spoke with a little bit of worry, "Hey, you feel alright, babe? Hope he didn't choke you too bad."
"Oh, no... I'm fine." Morrigan said, blushing right in front of him. "Thanks for being concerned about me, cutie."
"No problem." Dante nodded, blushing back to the succubus.
However, it wouldn't be long before Morrigan pulled Dante right in for a passionate kiss, locking lips with him much to the excitement of all the cat-calling fans and especially Jerry "The King' Lawler, who was now going batshit crazy for what was now going on.
"Oh, hello!" Tazz smirked naughtily.
"Aw, man, why does Dante get all the good stuff!" The King whined in laughter, "I wish I was him!"
"Too bad you're not, King!" JR shook his head, "Otherwise, Dante's getting all the action."
The feeling of that kiss however was more than enough to make Dante's legs a little weak, leaving them very limp.
It led Morrigan a big chance to lower Dante's entire head, forcing the devil-hunter body to sling over on the ropes. This also left Lightning a big opportunity to lift Dante right by the legs and fling him over the ropes and onto the floor, resulting in a very shocking double elimination!
"Wait, what the heck?!" The King shrieked in shock.
"That was definitely a poor mistake for Dante!" Tazz pointed out.
"Morrigan and Lightning just outsmarted Dante on his way out of the Rumble!" Cole pointed out as well, "That is a big elimination."
133rd Elimination: Dante; Eliminated by: Morrigan Aensland & Lightning; Duration: 26:36
As Dante was laying on the ringside floor looking very shocked and confused at what happened, Morrigan looked down at Dante with a very dirty smirk on her seductive lips before laughing alongside Lightning, who she shared a high-five with just for completing that elimination altogether.
"Looks like we might be seeing some sort of alliance going on right here!" J.R. replied.
It looked like they were indeed starting an alliance here in this match.
That was until Lightning blasted Morrigan right upside the head with a huge forearm, knocking her off the apron and onto the floor, eliminating her much to Morrigan's surprise.
"Well, so much for that alliance, JR!" Tazz smirked out.
The King then groaned at this as he whined, "Aw, c'mon, I really wanted to see that alliance happen!"
"Yeah, I don't think Lightning's that interested, King!" Cole shook his head, "Therefore, Morrigan's out of this match!"
134th Elimination: Morrigan Aensland; Eliminated by: Lightning; Duration: 57:49
Lightning immediately took her sweet time to taunt a fallen Morrigan, basically waving goodbye in a very mocking way.
It somehow proved to be a mistake though as Mai Shiranui snuck from behind and dropkicked Lightning right in the back of the head, knocking her over the top ropes and onto the floor for an elimination.
"Oh, and so is Lightning too!" JR nodded.
"Dang it, those puppies are getting gone one by one!" The King groaned out of disappointment.
"Sorry, King!" Cole shrugged to the Memphis great, "That's the way the Rumble goes, like it or not!"
135th Elimination: Lightning; Eliminated by: Mai Shiranui; Duration: 1:14:58
Meanwhile, right as Lightning was finally headed out of ringside, the camera scrolled to the lower right in time to see Bayonetta hit Ivy Valentine with a big stinger splash, therefore stunning Ivy right away.
"Bayonetta with that big stinger splash!" Tazz shouted.
"That's the kind of splash that would make The Icon very proud of her, I can tell!" JR nodded once more.
With Ivy feeling a bit stunned from that splash, Bayonetta turned around and pumped up this entire San Diego crowd, trying to give her more of the energy she needed in the match.
It proved to be a fatal mistake for Bayonetta though as Ivy woke right up and grabbed Bayonetta from behind, all before throwing him over the top rope and onto the floor, thereby eliminating her!
"Uh-oh, that wasn't smart for Bayonetta at all!" Cole furiously shook his head.
"No, it wasn't, Cole!" Tazz replied, "And that just got her out!"
"I swear, I'm not sure if I want to see another pair of puppies go!" The King replied as well.
136th Elimination: Bayonetta; Eliminated by: Ivy Valentine; Duration: 19:21
As Bayonetta barely left ringside still in shock of her departure, the camera switched right over to the ring to see Johnny Cage load his hot sauce Super Soaker right up after knowing the fact that both Vincent Valentine, Tifa Lockhart and Cloud Strife were standing right in front of him.
This three-on-one standoff Johnny Cage was having didn't like his chances, but he was gonna take them one way or another.
"Uh, Cage, you may want to rethink this..." Tazz pointed out.
"There's absolutely no way this is gonna work!" JR shook his head in an unsure way.
Not looking very afraid of this three-on-one situation, Johnny Cage pressed on the trigger from his hot sauce water gun...
...
...
...
...only to see that it was not working on him, leaving the gun's opening to be stuck in the process.
"Uh-oh!" Tazz gulped.
"That's definitely not good!" JR shook his head, "His gun's not working!"
"Ugh, what the hell's up with this stupid thing?" Johnny said to himself out of anger, trying to shake his hot sauce water gun back and forth.
He would not benefit his Super Soaker for much longer though as both Vincent, Tifa and Cloud all charged against the actor, pushing him forward the ropes to where Johnny immediately tumbled over the ropes and onto the floor, finally eliminating him much to the distaste to the rest of the fans and Jerry "The King" Lawler.
"Noooooo, not him!" The King miserably groaned.
"Oh, I'm afraid so, King!" Cole nodded, "Johnny Cage is no more!"
"Such a shame this guy's gone. I thought he'd go all the way!" Tazz exclaimed.
JR found himself shaking his head in response, "Unfortunately, Tazz, that definitely wasn't the case!"
137th Elimination: Johnny Cage; Eliminated by: Vincent Valentine, Tifa Lockhart and Cloud Strife; Duration: 2:00:50
Johnny Cage found himself getting right back up, obviously feeling very disappointed that his Rumble run had cut a little bit short of victory.
The actor attempted to get back into the ring, but just like every other Rumble contestant, he was being held back by the rest of the referees that were telling him to go back.
"C'mon, it's not fair! My Super Soaker got jammed!" Johnny Cage said to one of the referees, namely AEW official Aubrey Edwards.
"Yeah, I agree, Cage got cheated." The King nodded.
"Sorry you can't have things your way, King!" JR shook his head to the King, "Once Johnny Cage is gone, he's gone!"
Right at the same time Johnny Cage gave up and left ringside, the camera scrolled back up in time to see Vincent Valentine turn around and eat a double superkick by both Mai Shiranui and Kyo Kusanagi. The hit that he took was so strong that it made Vincent tumble over the top ropes and onto the floor, eliminating him to yet another big pop from the San Diego crowd!
"What a shot!" Tazz crazily shrieked.
"That hit right there just eliminated Vincent from the Rumble!" JR pointed out.
"Somebody better find his casket," The King smirked, "Because I think he may be D.O.A.!"
138th Elimination: Vincent Valentine; Eliminated by: Mai Shiranui and Kyo Kusanagi; Duration: 24:06
As Vincent took his leave out of ringside, the camera scrolled to the upper right of the turnbuckle to see Jin Kazama scoop Kitana up to the top rope before shutting her up with a haymaker right upside the head.
"Uh-oh, Jin's looking to go high-risk here!" Cole quickly pointed out.
"We've seen everyone make mistakes in that position!" JR exclaimed.
And Kitana made sure Jin made that mistake of being in the middle rope. The princess of Edenia managed to capitalize by hitting Jin right in the gut, all before Kitana scooped him up in a samoan drop position. It wouldn't be long before she launched herself off the middle rope, nailing Jin with a Rolling Hills off the top!
"Holy crap!" Tazz shrieked heavily.
"That just got Jin very disoriented!" JR exclaimed once more.
Kitana immediately got right back up, only for Scorpion to sneak right up from behind by grabbing Kitana right from the back of her bra and chucking her over the top rope and onto the floor, eliminating her to a very big mixed response from the crowd (which were mostly boos coming from a lot of loyal Kitana fans). Not also were they disappointed, but The King was quite frustrated and disappointed as well.
"What? NO!" The King shouted.
"Kitana just got eliminated from the Rumble!" Cole pointed out.
"That move took a lot out of her!" Tazz exclaimed, referring to the Green Bay Plunge Kitana had did on Jin not too long ago, "And Scorpion used that advantage to score an elimination!"
"And it's safe to say that this crowd here in San Diego doesn't like it one bit!" JR shook his head.
139th Elimination: Kitana; Eliminated by: Scorpion; Duration: 1:22:32
Scorpion took the time to celebrate his elimination by breathing fire coming through his mask, which excited his loyal fans but didn't take too well with Kitana's fans, which were still growing very upset, frustrated and butthurt that Scorpion still eliminated their favorite princess from the Rumble.
The King wasn't liking this at all, forcing him to groan out, "I still can't believe he eliminated her!
"Yikes, King, you act like he's frickin' Quan Chi or something!" Tazz said, groaning to The King.
"Well you can't blame him, Tazz!" Cole replied, "Kitana was one of the favorites that many picked to win this rumble."
"Well, he's gonna have to grow up one way or another." Tazz said, referring to The King.
Scorpion however made a big mistake of celebrating though as Ryu, Chun-Li, Jin Kazama, Mai Shiranui and Kyo Kusanagi all rushed right after him from behind, pushing him towards the ropes and getting him over the top rope. The leader of the Shirai Ryu of course did manage to hang onto the ropes though, now making it very hard for the five contestants to push him over even though they were still trying to.
"Oh wait a minute, Scorpion's dangling!" JR pointed out.
"What a smart move for the combatants to go after the strongest threat!" Cole replied.
"Come on guys, take him out!" The King said, shouting to the five.
As Scorpion was struggling to stay alive in the ropes, the camera shifted back to the ringside floor where Kitana was growing frustrated that she was eliminated from behind by Scorpion.
She saw the yellow ninja struggling around the ropes, which forced Kitana to help out by grabbing Scorpion right by the vest. By doing so, the five contestants with some help from an eliminated Kitana all managed to get Scorpion over the top rope and onto the floor, making the crowd pop big for Scorpion's elimination from the match!
"MY GAWD, SCORPION'S OUT! SCORPION'S OUT!" JR shrieked out huge.
"HA! THAT'S WHAT HE GETS FOR ELIMINATING KITANA FROM THE MATCH!" The King also shouted out, but very excitingly.
"Well, you gotta thank her for helping out with Scorpion's elimination, King!" Cole said to the King.
Tazz smirked before saying, "I bet that's gonna leave him fuming now!"
140th Elimination: Scorpion; Eliminated by: Ryu, Chun Li, Jin Kazama, Kyo Kusanagi and Mai Shiranui (with some help from Kitana): Duration: 6:50
And no doubt about it, Scorpion was indeed fuming from his loss. So much so that he immediately attacked Kitana right out of rage. Kitana however managed to strike back with multiple haymakers of her own, now resulting in a brawl between the two from ringside. It was growing so strong that the rest of the backstage officials were rushing out in an attempt to break the two apart.
"Yikes, what the hell's gotten over Scorpion?!" The King groaned out.
"I think he wasn't pleased with what Kitana did to Scorpion out of revenge!" JR replied to The King.
"I seriously don't want another riot to happen!" Cole shook his head, "We nearly had to deal with Wesker ourselves!"
"Same here, Cole." Tazz nodded.
The backstage officials did manage to break it up for a good second, all before both Kitana and Scorpion pushed them aside.
Yet before Scorpion could try to do something to Kitana though, the Princess of Edenia struck back hard by rushing right to the Shirai Ryu leader and crushing him with a spear so hard that it literally took down the lower right side of the barricade!
"OH MY GAWD!" JR shrieked in horror!
"Kitana with a spear right through the barricade!" Cole shrieked as well.
"I think it's safe to say that these two definitely now have hatred for each other!" The King nodded.
Tazz let out a chuckle before saying, "Yep, no need to have Liu Kang helping out with this kind of grudge!"
"Lord only knows how far the feud between Kitana and Scorpion will continue on." JR replied.
Cole mentioned, "Hopefully, not for a long time, but I doubt it!"
However, the camera managed to scroll right back to the ring to where Chun-Li was struggling to hang onto the ropes while both Tifa Lockhart and Tina Armstrong were trying hard to push her over the top rope. Right now, Chun Li was coming very close to lean right upside down, leaving her to cling onto the middle and bottom ropes in return.
"Looks like we're finally down to our final ten competitors in the matchup!" JR said to everyone watching.
"It could very well be nine if Tina and Tifa definitely have their way!" Tazz pointed out.
"It could probably be so indeed, Tazz!" Cole nodded, "Chun-Li is literally at her wit's end!"
"I wonder if Chun Li will be able to save herself!" The King commented.
The two women continued to push Chun-Li over when all of a sudden, Ivy Valentine snuck right out of nowhere and pulled off the impossible, lifting both Tifa and Tina's feet off the mats while lifting them over the ropes and onto the floor, therefore eliminating her and taking Chun-Li with her, making it a triple elimination! This scene immediately forced the rest of the fans and Jerry "The King" Lawler to lose their minds in response!
"WHAT!?" The King shrieked loudly.
"NO WAY!" Tazz screamed breathless, "DID IVY JUST-?"
"MY GAWD! IVY JUST ELIMINATED ALL THREE WOMEN IN ONE SITTING!" JR screamed as well, nearly having a heart attack in the process (thankfully, he didn't).
"I CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT WE JUST WITNESSED!" Cole shook his head in amazement, "That's the second time we've seen something like this happen!"
"Yeah, that was when Roman Reigns eliminated Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Cesaro in one sitting back at the 2014 Rumble!" JR said, reminding Cole of that moment.
141st Elimination: Tina Armstrong; Eliminated by: Ivy Valentine; Duration: 1:01:02
142nd Elimination: Tifa Lockhart; Eliminated by: Ivy Valentine; Duration: 16:03
143rd Elimination: Chun Li; Eliminated by: Ivy Valentine; Duration: 15:04
Meanwhile, as the rest of the crowd were still losing their minds of what Ivy had done, Ryu was busy trying to attempt another elimination process of his very own.
This time, he was trying to front suplex Jin Kazama over the top rope. He would find it hard to do though once Jin Kazama was holding on to the ropes in the nick of time. Ryu then attempted to shoulder charge Jin right in the ribs in order to knock him off the apron, but nothing was gonna let Jin go. He was still hanging on like the spider monkey Jin was becoming at this point.
"Jin is definitely hanging on for dear life." Cole pointed out.
"Let's hope he hangs on for a little longer though!" The King replied.
Being unsure of what The King said, Tazz went to him and replied himself, "Yeah, King, I don't think that's gonna happen if Ryu has his word!"
Ryu continued to shoulder charge Jin repeatedly until Kyo decided to take care of Kazuya's son himself. As Ryu hung onto Jin's entire ribs, Kyo ran right up and greeted Jin with a superman punch, which finally knocked Jin off the apron and onto the floor, scoring yet another elimination!
"You see what I mean, King?" Tazz said to Jerry Lawler again.
"Yeah, I definitely saw that, Tazz!" The King exclaimed, "I don't know what I was thinking he'd hang in there!"
"Either way you look at it, King, Jin is gone from this match!" JR said to the King!
"We're down to the final 6!" Cole mentioned.
144th Elimination: Jin Kazama; Eliminated by: Ryu and Kyo Kusanagi; Duration: 1:43:28
Jin Kazama immediately left ringside feeling a bit frustrated and disappointed that his Rumble time had come to an end. Despite this, he looked around the stadium and was given a big round of applause for his efforts in the match.
Back in the ring though, Kratos was attempting a submission hold in this match, lifting up Ivy from behind with a big torture rack. He wouldn't be able to get her up from the hold herself as Ivy managed to counter with a big Lucha Libre-like arm drag. The throw managed to get Kratos closer to the ropes, which was more than enough for Ivy to quickly get herself back up on her feet and rush right after the god-slayer, therefore clotheslining him over the top rope and onto the floor, eliminating him to yet another pop from the crowd!
"Whoa, Kratos is gone!" Cole shouted before repeating, "I repeat, Kratos is gone!"
"Just hang in there, Ivy!" The King shouted as well, "You're my pick to win the rumble!"
JR rolled his eyes before saying to King, "Are you gonna keep changing picks like this? Whatever happened to sticking with only one?"
"What does it matter to you, JR?" The King shrugged to the Oklahoman, "All that matters is that she's still alive!"
"We're now down to the final 5, boys." Tazz stated.
145th Elimination: Kratos; Eliminated by: Ivy Valentine; Duration: 18:47
Ivy Valentine was attempting to catch her breath for a second until Mai Shiranui snuck from behind and managed to trap the white-haired Brit with a big sleeper hold. Ivy felt herself struggling to get out from that move by attempting to shake the ninja right off of her. But yet every time she tried though, Mai's grasp over her neck would begin to tighten each second, therefore making it very hard for Ivy to break free out of her.
"Uh-oh, I think Ivy celebrated too long, King!" JR pointed out.
"Mai surprising Ivy with a big sleeper hold from behind!" Cole exclaimed, "She's got her good!"
"Noooooo, don't take her out like this, Mai!" The King said, pleading to the busty kunoichi.
"Unfortunately King, that's what she's doing!" JR nodded to the King.
The sleeper hold forced Ivy to stumble forward the ropes though, leaving a big smile right around Mai's face.
But that smile didn't last long however as Cloud immediately capitalized from behind, lifting up Ivy's legs right off the mat. Then using every ounce of his strength, he lifted up both Ivy and Mai over the top rope and onto the floor, eliminating both women from the match!
"Cloud with a big elimination!" Cole pointed out.
"Aw, damn it, there goes my picks now!" The King groaned in defeat.
"No kidding, that was a big mistake for Mai to hang onto Ivy like that!" JR said to The King. "And in return, Ivy took Mai down with her thanks to Cloud!"
"Yeah, I'm still amazed that he's hung in there for a long ass time!" Tazz exclaimed, feeling very impressed by the longevity Cloud was making in the match.
146th Elimination: Mai Shiranui; Eliminated by: Cloud Strife; Duration: 1:13:05
147th Elimination: Ivy Valentine; Eliminated by: Cloud Strife Duration: 24:06
Right after he was busy finishing with both Mai and Ivy, Cloud took his time to catch his breath before he engaged in a fierce standoff with the other two men who were standing in the ring with him: Ryu and Kyo Kusanagi.
The fans were now immediately on their feet, not even knowing who they were gonna cheer for in this matchup now. It was so split between the three men, that one-third of the audience were now busy chanting each name one at time, starting with "Ryu", "Kyo" and "Let's go, Cloud" all in that order.
"Gentlemen we're now down to the final 3 competitors in the ring." Cole explained. "One of these three men will become the first ever winner of the Video Game All-Star Royal Rumble!"
"Not also that, but they're gonna get that special wish that the host promised the winner!" JR replied, remembering his partners.
"Oh, yeah, I completely forgot about that!" The King yelped a bit before saying, "So guys, who's your pick to win?"
"I'm sticking with Ryu, King!" Tazz replied, "He's looking very strong so far."
"I know I'm not supposed to take picks, but I think Kyo may have a good chance of winning himself!" Cole said to Tazz.
"I could say the same about Cloud myself!" JR nodded out.
"I'm at a loss for words here!" The King nodded, "Heck, I don't know what's gonna happen from this standoff!"
It took only a big minute from this standoff until Cloud suddenly caught Kyo off guard with a big right hook. And then, he also surprised Ryu with another right hook, therefore making the choice to fight both men all by himself!
"And there they go!" JR pointed out.
"You mean, there goes Cloud!" Tazz said, correcting JR for a second, "He's fighting both of them out!"
"Cloud's definitely come too far to stop now!" The King nodded.
Cloud continued to punch away at both Ryu and Kyo for several seconds before the two fighters suddenly felt dazed and confused from both of those hits Cloud had given them.
This was the perfect time for Cloud to grab both of their heads, attempting to give them a noggin knocker in response. Yet before he could give them one though, both Ryu and Kyo struck back hard by kicking Cloud right in the gut and nailing an unexpected double DDT on the ex-soldier.
"Ryu and Kyo with a big counter!" Cole shouted.
"Uh-oh, I definitely didn't see that coming!" The King yelped, fearing what was gonna come next for Cloud.
"No crap, King!" Tazz nodded, "Cloud got planted hard!"
Cloud was immediately incapacitated from that move long enough for both Ryu and Kyo to pick him up right on his head.
Leaving Cloud unable to fight back from this condition, the two men immediately chucked Cloud right over the top rope and onto the floor, eliminating him in a big way much to a big mixed reaction from the Qualcomm Stadium crowd. Much of them were cheering big from Cloud's elimination while some of the Final Fantasy crowd didn't take Cloud's elimination too lightly, booing very annoyingly in response.
"Oh my gawd, Cloud's gone!" JR shrieked in horror, "Cloud's gone from the Rumble!"
"There goes your pick, JR!" The King smirked.
"I can't believe it!" Cole shook his head before replying, "After all this time being in that ring for such a long time! He came so close!"
"Yeah, you've gotta give Cloud Strife a lot of credit for lasting all the way from entrant #1 to being in the final three." Tazz replied.
"Now it's down to only two men, ladies and gentleman!" The King exclaimed, "I'm at the end of my crown!"
148th Elimination: Cloud Strife; Eliminated by: Ryu and Kyo Kusanagi; Duration: 2:41:03
Cloud Strife immediately got right back up, feeling very disheartened, disappointed and upset that he lasted all this time in the ring just for nothing. He found himself leaving ringside, but not without getting the last standing ovation from the audience, who popped big for his incredible long-lasting performance in this Rumble match. Heck, even the commentators began to take notice from this memorable Rumble performance themselves.
"Look at this crowd here in Qualcomm Stadium stand up big for Cloud here tonight!" The King exclaimed.
"This man lasted nearly two hours and forty-one minutes in this match!" JR replied, "I don't think there's nobody who's gonna break that record from the position that Cloud entered in!"
"No kidding, that's like two whole hours he was in the ring!" Tazz replied. "That's like an entire episode of SmackDown put together!"
Cole nodded to Tazz before replying, "Either way you put it, Tazz, that's a performance that's never gonna be TOPPED in the Rumble ever!"
As Cloud finally made his way back to the locker room, Kyo and Ryu wasted no time coming to blows with each other, punching each other in the face repeatedly non-stop to the point where the rest of the crowd was switching and focusing on each blow that both men were making.
"This is feeling very tense!" Cole exclaimed.
"It's almost like we're seeing Capcom vs. SNK here in the Rumble!" Tazz exclaimed as well.
"Indeed, we are!" JR nodded, "But only one brand, a la one man, is gonna be standing in that ring!"
"I definitely can't watch!" The King shook his head, "But then again, maybe I can because I really gotta know who wins!"
The two men were growing tired with each punch. Every single haymaker and left/right hook leaving both men feeling limp by the legs. However, Ryu's spirit proved to be strong and fresh enough to keep him on his feet.
Once Kyo got him good with a left hook, Ryu caught up in a second wind and caught Kyo right out of nowhere with a Codebreaker!
"Ryu with a Codebreaker!" Cole shouted.
"Oh, that ain't good for Kyo!" The King yelped heavily.
"I'll agree, Ryu got him good!" JR nodded.
"Come on Ryu, you got this!" Tazz said, smirking very widely, "You can't stop now!"
Ryu attempted to pick Kyo up right by his feet, looking to throw him right out of this Rumble.
But before he could finally get the chance however, Kyo found a second wind of his own and surprised the street fighter with a big Rock Bottom, sending the crowd into a complete frenzy!
"Oh, Kyo with the Rock Bottom!" JR shouted.
"Ryu didn't see that coming himself!" The King pointed out.
With Ryu being flattened from head to toe completely, Kyo managed to hop right on his feet in no time, energizing the rest of the crowd up on their feet who were anticipating to see what would happen next.
And what was happening next was Kyo drawing flames coming right out of his fist, looking to pull off his signature maneuver on Ryu, who was recovering right on the ropes.
"Oh boy, here it comes…!" Tazz replied suspensefully.
"Kyo's about to get the final blow!" JR pointed out.
Once Ryu turned right around, Kyo drew out a big fireball towards Ryu, which the impact was so strong that it immediately flew Ryu right over the top ropes and onto the floor, scoring the final elimination that sent the fans soaring right on their feet!
"RYU'S GONE! KYO WINS!" Cole screamed mightily!
"NO WAY, I DON'T BELIEVE IT!" The King yelled.
"OH, BELIEVE IT, KING!" JR shouted to the King, "KYO'S DONE IT! HE WINS THE RUMBLE!"
149th and Final Elimination: Ryu; Eliminated by: Kyo Kusanagi; Duration: 19:09
Seeing the way Ryu flew out of the ring, Kyo immediately got down on his knees, relishing in the fact that Kyo had done what no other man could do. And that was to win the first ever Video Game All-Star Royal Rumble in history. That kind of feeling brought a smile right on his face, getting very excited as the rest of the fans in the audience all went crazy and ecstatic that one of SNK's best characters had now become the last man standing in the Rumble match. With the celebration starting to get underway, ring announcer Howard Finkel stood up out of his chair and announced the winner for every single fan to hear coming out of his lips.
"Here is your winner of the first ever Video Game All-Star Royal Rumble… KYO KUSANAGI!"
WINNER: Kyo Kusanagi
Following The Fink's announcement, JR reminded his viewers watching at home, "You heard it here ladies and gentleman, after only two hours of calling intense Rumble action, I can now simply say that Kyo Kusanagi is the winner of the first ever Video Game All-Star Royal Rumble!"
"There were a whole lot of favorites to win this match, and no doubt, this guy was definitely one of them to win it all!" Cole exclaimed.
"That's frickin' amazing what this guy went through to win it all!" Tazz exclaimed as well, feeling very satisfied about the winner.
"No doubt he definitely made SNK and the King of Fighters franchise proud here tonight!" The King nodded, "My crown's off to him!"
While Kyo was still celebrating his Rumble victory though however, the fans all popped to their feet when the event's host Kenny Omega entered the ring alongside both The Young Bucks, AEW CoFounder and VP Cody Rhodes and not to mention "Hangman" Adam Page, who managed to bring himself a six pack full of Coors Light just for something to celebrate. Heck, even the Angry Video Game Nerd, Terry Bogard, Mai Shiranui and Ryo Sakazaki entered the ring themselves just to congrature Kyo on a job well done.
"Looks like the party's about to get started!" The King smirked out.
"I think Kenny Omega and the rest of The Elite are about to give our winner a celebration of their own!" Tazz nodded.
As the ovation finally died down though, Kenny Omega snatched the microphone out of The Fink's hand and addressed the San Diego crowd closeup, "Ladies and gentleman, not counting Pinstripe because he got his ass blasted out of here by Terry Bogard, I hereby present to you the winner of the Video Game All-Star Royal Rumble, Kyo Kusanagi!"
The crowd immediately stood up to their feet once again, hereby chanting "Kyo" repeatedly as a way to appreciate the winner himself. He definitely found himself taken aback by this love and respect that the fans were given to him. Once the chants died down again, Kenny then spoke to the winner with a smirk on his face.
"Kyo Kusanagi, I gotta say, you definitely gave every one of those 149 contestants a run for their money!" Kenny smirked in unison, "For that, I am very impressed. Kyo, you got anything to say to the rest of the crowd?"
Smirking back to Omega, Kyo grabbed the microphone himself and made his Rumble-winning address to the fans that were sticking to their seats, "I got plenty to say indeed. And even though it may not be much of a speech, I'm gonna say it anyway because this one goes out to those watching this Rumble event right now: LONG LIVE SNK AND LONG LIVE THE KING OF FIGHTERS!"
It wouldn't be long before the crowd suddenly broke out in a big back-to-back "SNK" and "KOF" chant, therefore proving the brand's dominance in the entire Rumble match.
"Kyo once again making his brand proud!" JR exclaimed.
"I think that's saying a lot much, JR!" The King nodded, agreeing with JR, "Kyo carried that King of Fighters franchise on his back and led his way to victory!"
"That's something he'll hang his headband on proudly!" Tazz nodded as well.
The chants then died down once again before Kenny Omega spoke out to Cody, "Hey Cody, you got the wish that the winner earned? I think everyone around Qualcomm Stadium wants to hear what that wish is!"
"Gladly," Cody nodded as he grabbed the microphone himself to speak in.
After he rubbed some of the dust out of the mic, Cody then smiled over to Kyo, "Kyo Kusanagi, for winning this special Rumble match here tonight in front of 60,000+ fans, me and the boys were thinking about this, and thanks to your skills… we've decided to make you an offer you can't refuse."
"What's the offer? I want to hear!" The King said from his commentary table.
"Pipe down, King!" JR said to The King, shushing him completely.
Cody took the time to let out a deep breath before saying to Kyo, "Kyo Kusanagi, we want to know if you'll join All Elite Wrestling with us."
Knowing how much the crowd was cheering their asses off with this kind of news, Kyo immediately took the microphone himself and gave one good smile to Cody as he said:
"Count me in. I accept!"
"No way!" Tazz exclaimed, "Did I just hear that correctly!"
"Indeed, it means that Kyo Kusanagi from the King of Fighters has joined All Elite Wrestling!" JR nodded over to Tazz.
"Oh my god!" The King shouted, "That's gotta be one heck of a prize!"
"You definitely gotta give props to Cody for making an announcement like that!" Cole pointed out.
Once the excitement finally went away, Hangman Adam Page obliged as he undid every beer can from the plastic rings, giving them to both Terry, Mai, Ryo, AVGN and especially Kyo, who opened his beer right up just as a way to continue this Rumble celebration.
"And with that, that closes the book on the first ever Video Game All-Star Royal Rumble match!" JR exclaimed.
"No doubt this is gonna go down in the history books, fellas!" Tazz nodded to his partners.
"I'll drink to that, Tazz!" Cole nodded as well before he said to the camera, "So for Good Ol' JR, Jerry "The King" Lawler and Tazz himself, this is Michael Cole saying so long and goodnight from the Video Game All-Star Royal Rumble!"
The final scene that was shown before fading to black was Kyo, Mai, Terry, Ryo, Hangman and AVGN toasting their respective beers to each other, all before drinking it down their throats to just to keep the celebration going for as long as they wish.
Thank goodness we got this done and over with. Not lying, this nearly took a battery life of my laptop away. So it was definitely worth it to do it for you guys. Okay, for the final time, it's time for stats!

150. Kyo Kusanagi (WINNER)
Truth be told, we were gonna have Victor Sullivan from "Uncharted" compete, but we had to replace him with Jimmy Hopkins from "Bully" instead at the very last second because one of the fans of this fic suggested him to us. Kind of a shame since Victor would have been awesome in the Rumble, but he just had to settle for a cameo instead. So if it's any consolation, at least Victor Sullivan will be in the next Video Game All Star Royal Rumble, which probably won't be for a while since The Amazing Ghost Musician wants to take a break from all of the Royal Rumble fics we co-wrote.
But hey, never say never right? Anyway, what did you think of the winner? Let me know in the reviews sections everyone. Now all of that is said and done, happy early Valentine's Day, ladies and gentleman!
