If there were two people more different then these two, no one in town had ever met them. Usagi and Ami were the best of friends but their way of living was certainly at odds with each other. One was studious and quiet. The other was boisterous and… academically challenged. Yes, they would go with that. Though Usagi's mom would choose harsher words. Even with their differences, they stuck close to each other like they did with the rest of their friends. They were the Sailor Scouts. Differences only made them stronger.

Thus, Usagi was very eager to meet the new Sailor Scout she had been hearing about. She was practically skipping along as they made their way to the meeting. Ami had a hard time following given she sometimes started to speed up and Ami didn't want to push any people aside to catch up.

"Usagi," Ami said as she panted. They had been going at a fast pace for quite a while. While in her Sailor Senshi form she could do a lot, her civilian self was still not the most physically capable. "Slow down. The girls aren't going to disappear if we don't arrive in time."

"I know," Usagi giggled. She did slow down a bit for her friend, "But I'm just so excited. Meeting another Sailor Senshi is always a fun experience. Ooh I wonder what she's like. Minako made her out to be pretty awesome."

"She did sound nice," Ami nodded. Another Senshi would make the city that much safer.

"Uh-huh," Usagi's grin only grew, "So let's make a great first impression."

Usagi's heart was beating faster. She knew she was getting close. Oooh, she couldn't wait to hug this new girl. She was sure she was awesome. Yeah with a new sailor scout came a new villain, but that was to be expected these days. They'd defeat it together and show that no one can triumph over love and truth. Hopefully this villain would be easier than the others they faced before.

They happily turned the corner, expecting to see their friends happy and waiting for them. What they didn't expect was to see Makoto pulling the cheeks of a smaller girl with an angry expression. It looked like she wanted to do worse.

"You perverted monkey," Makoto growled, "What right did you think to do that to me?"

"You should have more decency," Rei chided the new girl, "Lifting a girl's skirt like that. With an expression of such lust, no less. You should be ashamed of yourself."

"I'm sorry," the new girl tried to say with her stretched cheeks.

"Oh I bet you aren't," Makoto started to pull harder, earning high pitch squeals of 'sorry' and pain from the girl under her wrath.

Usagi's jaw dropped at the sight. Her cheeks were slightly red upon hearing what was being said. She looked to her right to see Ami was even worse off with her blush. She had a hand over her mouth in surprise.

"Girls," Minako got up and tried her best to pry Makoto off of the new girl, "She said she's sorry. Let's give her some space."

Makoto snorted and let go, "As long as she keeps her hands to herself."

"Her?" The new girl cried out in surprise.

"Hey Usagi, Ami." Rei waved at the approaching pair, distracting them from the new girl's surprise.

Rei's greeting shook Usagi out of her stupor. She smiled and happily waved back, "Hey guys. Glad we could make it."

"Sorry we took so long," Ami frowned, "I got caught up in some studying."

"Oh don't worry about it," Makoto waved her off, "We're used to it. Besides, your egg headedness saved our butts on some tests."

Ami pouted, "I'm not an egghead." Everyone tried their best not to d'aww at the sight. Ami was easily the cutest out of the Sailor Senshi.

"Anyways," Usagi stepped up and held out a hand to the new girl, "Hello, I'm Usagi Tsukino. You can just call me Usagi since we're fellow-" She leaned closer as if to whisper, "Sailor Senshi."

"And I'm Ami," Ami waved at her shyly.

"Nice to meet you both," the girl happily shook her hand, "But what's a Sailor Senshi? You girls keep talking about that but I'm kinda confused."

Usagi frowned and looked at the other girls. A Sailor Senshi that didn't even know what they were? Was that possible? Was this kind of like Sailor Venus but even then, she didn't remember her being that confused. They just seemed to shrug their shoulders as if they were confused by that as well. She tapped her cheek, "I guess we gotta discuss this then."

"Somewhere safe," Ami said, "We don't want people overhearing us."

The others nodded.

"Somewhere alone with all of you?" Sailor Paladin's eyes twinkled, "Now that I- OW!"

She was rubbing her head. Makoto had smacked his fist down on top of it.

"Seriously," she snorted and glared down at her new fellow Senshi, "Do I have to keep smacking you around till you learn?"

Usagi stepped forward, "Girls, let's not fight with our new friend. I'm sure she didn't mean anything by it."

"He better not," Makoto said, earning an 'eep' from Paladin.

Paladin quickly hid behind Minako, "Save me from her wrath."

Minako sighed, "Paladin, just… just stick with me, alright."

Paladin smiled brightly up at her, "You are my guardian angel." Which caused Minako to blush slightly at the praise and smile.

With that said, the group headed off to a private location. They'd get to the bottom of this soon enough. They had to in order to combat whatever threat they were facing now. They just hoped he wasn't plotting anything too serious.

Vauquelin was plotting something serious. He had to. He knew he could be in some serious trouble if he did nothing. Those Sailor Senshi were certainly more powerful then he initially thought. One of them could stand up to him in battle. While he knew he had more power and experience, she was able to survive quite well enough on her own. One of them was a dangerous variable in his plans.

There were five of them however. There could even be more of them out there. He wasn't sure he could take on all of them by himself. He had a few more beasts at his disposal but he wasn't sure if they would work. He'd have to rely on his own power and his beasts since his new henchmen were useless. Apparently you had to use magical means in order to hurt them. At least while they were transformed. He could always try and find them in their civilian forms but that would take too long.

He didn't have that time. His machine was his priority. The making of which was going along smoothly. He walked by the construction sight. The goons he had hired were slow at first. Many of them didn't think it was worth their time. He had quickly proven them wrong with a few 'demonstrations' of his power. On top of that, he eyed the beasts patrolling the area. Most of them were simply large wolves. Not as big as the one he had sicked on the Sailor Senshi, but large enough to look a human in the eyes.

That and a few other nasty creatures. It had taken quite a bit of time and resources to acquire this collection but it had always paid off. Now they were motivated and he could continue with these plans easily enough. He walked past them and made his way into his office.

He closed the door behind him and took a seat at his new desk. He grabbed some scrolls and put them on top of it. He had one problem however. His beasts weren't enough. He had only a slight few high quality beasts under his employ and he had already used up one of them. He needed to make sure that his new goons could put up a decent fight.

In his time, normal mercenaries could stand a chance at hurting the Paladins. They were still human even if they had a number of magical items at their disposal. That wasn't the case here. He needed to give his goons some way of hurting them. Even if it was minor, he needed more insurance for his project.

So he had started working on blueprints on magical weapons. Mostly swords were on the menu when it came to designs but he could always get more creative once he proved it could work. He chuckled. Oh yes, he was sure that the Sailor Senshi would regret coming to his place. These designs would be done by the end of the day.

"Boss?" One of his henchmen stuck his head into the room, "Did you send for me?"

"Right I did," he nodded and got up. He gave the blueprints to the yakuza, if he was remembering the name right, goon. "I want you to make a dozen of these and come back to me."

The goon took the designs and looked at them, "You want me to make swords?"

Vauquelin nodded, "Yes and in the meantime, bring all available swords you have to me. I want you to make as many swords as you need to make up for our lack of them."

The goon nodded, "Alright, but it'll take a day or two to make all of them."

Vauquelin frowned. Ah yes, he remembered it takes a while to make a sword. It slipped his mind since it is usually the common rabble that made weapons. Nothing of his concern, "Just get them done by tomorrow, or else."

"I could just get the guys to steal some more swords for you," the goon said.

Vauquelin sighed, "Very well. Go do that. Just get it done as soon as possible."

"Alright," the goon said, glad to finally leave the mage's presence.

Vauquelin watched him close the door and sighed. He could enchant normal weapons but he knew they wouldn't be as strong. Oh well. Hired help was always replaceable. Besides, they were just fighting girls in dressup. If Astolfo appeared however, he would have to worry for real. Either way, this would be the day of his victory. Well either today or tomorrow depending on who attacked first.

Sorry for the short length after so long. I didn't know what to do next. As well, I've decided to make this a shorter story then first planned. Got a lot of stories on my plate and I think I found a good way to wrap up this adventure quickly enough. Hopefully I can give it a good finish. I hope you all enjoyed it and I can't wait to read your comments as they do help a lot. Until next time, take care.
