Like grandpa like grandson
CharmingsDaughter asked for a oneshot of Henry being with his little sister like Charming is/was with Emma. Charming is really proud whilst Emma is annoyed.
"It's not funny!" Emma snapped as her dad was bent double laughing in the corner. "The poor girl will need weeks of therapy!"
"Eira will be fine." Charming chortled. "Where is Henry, anyway? I need to give him a twenty for that."
"Don't you dare encourage this behaviour!" Emma warned her father. "I mean, I know he's protective of her, but this was just a little extreme. She was just walking through the park with the poor kid, then suddenly her adult older brother marches over, acts over-friendly, and challenges the poor boy to a sword fight. He tried to make out like it was a joke, but safe to say Eira won't be getting a call back." Emma said glumly. Charming made a smug noise.
"Good." He said. "Little punk probably wasn't good enough for my princess. Especially since he wasn't able to deal with a tiny sword fight." Emma rolled her eyes and put her head in her hands.
"What is with the men in this family." Emma grumbled. Charming smirked.
"Oh come on Em. You're not still annoyed at me, are you? It was my fatherly duty to give him a hard time…"
"A hard time? He wouldn't sleep for a week because he was frightened you'd burst through with a sword! He was terrified to tell you I was pregnant, even though we were married already."
"Well, what can I say? The Charming men look after their ladies. You were the same when Henry started dating Violet, and when Neal started dating Alex…"
"That's different." Emma complained. "He's my baby brother…" Emma saw the smug look her dad was giving her. He knew what she was thinking already. Just like Eira is Henry's baby sister. Emma huffed on the chair. "Well, I didn't force Alex or Violet into any form of physical violence." Emma defended herself, taking the moral high ground. Charming shrugged, going back to drying the dishes.
"I still have no regrets over it." He said simply. "I bet Henry doesn't either…I still wouldn't, if push came to shove." He added a little more dangerously. Emma rolled her eyes again. Some things would never change.
