Happy Bonfire Night

snoopykid asked for a oneshot of Emma being obsessed with V (as in for vendetta) and dresses up like him for Guy Fawkes night. Her family have no clue who he is so Emma shows them the movie.

I know lots of people will have done their celebrating yesterday, but if you're away to a display today, be safe. If you're setting off your own, be courteous of those around you. Former soldiers, people with sensory processing disorders, animals are among the list of those who might be scared this time of year. Try to make it easier on them :).

Less than 100 chapters until 3000 now guys, ahh!

"Beneath this mask there is more than flesh, Beneath this mask there is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof. ..."

Emma's family still stared at her, confused. That quote didn't help them work out who she was supposed to be dressed as or why. Wasn't Halloween last week? Hadn't Emma decided to go as Wonder Woman? Maybe she would have been better with this costume, it was certainly a whole lot creepier. "Come on, V for Vendetta? I can understand the kid not seeing it, but you two?"

"In our defence, it seems the film came out a few years after the curse." Charming explained, having looked it up on his phone. "We were frozen in time, so no new movies. Only fake memories of older ones." Charming reminded her. Emma shook her head in disappointment.

"Well, we know what we're doing tonight then, don't we?" She told them all. Snow smiled.

"Should I get some popcorn in?" She asked, correctly guessing Emma's plan. Emma nodded.

"Indeed you should. For V for Vendetta should be treated with the same respect as any other holiday like film. You don't go watching Hocus Pocus on the first of November, or Home Alone on Boxing Day. No, today is the fifth of November, and remember, remember, the fifth of November. Gunpowder, treason and plot…" Again, she was met with blank stares. She sighed.

"I'll just get the DVD ready." She said. "You'll see what I'm talking about." She promised them all. Henry, Charming and Snow weren't sure they could be quite as excited about this film as Emma. After all, she'd gone to all the effort of dressing up like the main character. Apparently, this was something she did every November fifth. None of them would ever have suspected Emma to be so enthusiastic about a movie, but they were happy for her, and happy to give the film a go. They just hoped nobody else in Storybrooke watched it and got any ideas. Hopefully Regina was watching her security cameras extra closely tonight.
