The siren's tricks

GrantL1991 asked for a oneshot of Emma saying "Daddy, you know you love me."

Guest: I'm not sure how that would be much different from the actual show.

JRocks: It's November, bit early for Easter requests lol.

I'm going to go about this request in a different way, and pretend it's not just a person's love interest a siren can transform into.

She had been missing for three days. They were both worried sick. Emma had told them she was going off for a ride, and she simply never returned. They knew that wasn't like Emma at all. She had been sensible enough to go out unescorted since she turned sixteen the previous year. There had been no trace of her at all. No leads as to what might have happened. Snow and Charming simply wouldn't rest until they found their daughter, and punished whoever was responsible for her disappearance. That was what lead Charming to one of the few Siren's lakes remaining in their kingdom. He could feel the eerie enchantment of the area begin to crawl over his skin. Goosebumps began to form. He tried his best to ignore the signs as the hairs on the back of his neck stood on end. He screwed his eyes shut. He knew what came next. A version of Snow's beautiful voice, so hauntingly sweet he would be unable to resist. But he had to; for Emma.

"Daddy." Charming's heart began to race. No, Sirens didn't do this. They only imitated lovers. Not a person's children. "Daddy." The voice repeated."

"Stop." Charming hissed, slamming his hands against his ears. "Stop it." The voice chuckled. He felt the water ripple around his feet as the siren moved closer to him. Charming scrambled backwards. He lost his footing and fell back against the sand. Despite himself, his eyes flew open. When he opened his eyes, there stood the siren in the form of his eldest daughter. She stood in a silk dress that fell to just above her knees. She would have definitely passed as Emma if not for one thing: her smile was off. There was something not quite right about the siren's smile. Something almost wicked. Charming thrashed his arms and legs, trying to force the siren back. He didn't want to do what he knew he must to get passed her and leave the lake behind.

"Get back!" Charming bellowed. "You are not my daughter. I am no fool, siren." He hissed. The siren chuckled. She almost floated back into the centre of the lake. The vision changed slightly. She now stood in the same dress, but it was dirty and torn. All over her skin was covered in cuts and bruises. There also stood a dark knight with a knife to her throat. Despite knowing it wasn't real, the vision shook Charming to his very core.

"Daddy, you know you love me. You won't leave me here to die. Come rescue me." The siren said, cottoning onto Charming's weaknesses and making the voice sound more pitiful. Charming held the handle of his sword tightly in his fist. He was about to hate himself for what he had to do, but he had the real Emma to find.

"You-are not- my daughter!" Charming yelled out, charging towards the siren and her fake dark knight. As he plunged the sword into her midriff, she gasped. Charming could only see his daughter's face. He had to hold himself back from pulling the siren back to the surface. This wasn't real. That wasn't Emma. The vision of the dark knight vanished. The siren sank to the depths of the lake. Charming waded back out, the water dripping off him as he sank to his knees in the sand, bitter tears falling from his eyes. He could not stay here and cry for long. He had to get back on his mission and find the real Emma, before she possibly suffered a similar fate to the siren at someone else's hands.
