"So, Saki-chan, are you enjoying right now?" Yui asked me. Right, I am in a party, specifically the reunion of Class 2f. It has been 10 years since we graduated, and Yui said it's a good way to catch up with our classmates.

And that we did, we all talked about our lives and whatnot. Yui is now a talk show host, Miura is now a renowned actress, Hayama became a lawyer, Tobe is now a professional MMA fighter, Hina is now a successful writer, loved by people for her "Temptations for a Lady" book, which is essentially a men's guide to women. I don't know why it was named that way, but I guess it doesn't matter now does it?

Oh, and Hina's married to Zaimokuza of all people.

Though he is now slimmer and is known for his light novels that teenagers like to read. Birds of the same feather, really flock together huh?

"Yeah…" I replied to Yui. I heard Zaimokuza talk about his novel getting an anime adaption. What was the name again? Overgeared?

"Are you looking for someone?" Yui teasingly asked.

I am.

"Yes."

"Let me guess, a lanky guy, someone with ahoge and a person who grumbles a lot?" She inquired. But the description of hers perfectly describe the person I'm looking for. I nodded to her. "Well, I saw him on the balcony over there." Yui pointed west. "He was talking to Hayama earlier."

I stood up, thanking Yui.

"Go get him!" Thanks for the cheer Yui. I walked towards the said balcony, hoping he was still there. Though I know that once he settles down on a spot, he won't move around anymore. His favorite spot when he was in high school was the door near the tennis court. I reached the balcony Yui pointed, he was here. He's so focused looking at the horizon that I managed to stand beside him without noticing. "You didn't tell me you'd come." I spoke. He looked surprised for a second, before he composed his face.

"Komachi kicked me out the house. Had no choice but to go." He sips on his cup. "Why does it bother you anyway? You'll see me in the weekdays. We work here at Sobu, remember?" Right, I still was surprised that I ended up being a teacher, in Sobu no less. I teach science to students and he teaches Modern Japanese. He probably got inspired by Hiratsuka-sensei, even though he doesn't admit it.

"I heard Yukinoshita couldn't come."

"That woman's always busy. Being a Prime Minister is hard." That's another thing that I still couldn't grasp. How a person like Yukinoshita Yukino, who was a loner in high school, became the Prime Minister. If we're being honest, her sister is the more likely candidate. That woman's equipped with charms, wits, and charisma that Yukino dreamt off. "If she decides to come, the media would flock here and I'll basically be branded as a sexual harasser by the nation." We both laughed at that statement. What he said is probably true, his features didn't change at all, he's still the same guy 10 years ago.

Still the same man I loved until now.

But why couldn't I muster up the courage to tell him that? Wait, I did tell him right? When we were in that ride on DestinyLand. Did he really not hear me that day? Well, either he's dense or not interested at me. That will change, as I will try again now. If I don't do it now, then I feel that I'll never had the chance to tell him. Woman up Saki! You're not a teenager anymore!

"Hey Hachiman…" His eyes focused at my face. This made it harder for me to say anything at all. "Remember the ride we shared on DestinyLand?" He nodded. "Back then, you asked me what I said right?"

"What did you say back then?"

"That I liked you." I grabbed his hands. "Until now, I still li- no, I love you, Hachiman!"

"I love you too, Saa-chan!" Wait, Saa-chan? What?

"Saa-chan!" Huh? Am I just dreaming? The sight of Keika in front of me seems to confirm it. "Do you want to be Haa-chan's girlfriend?"

"Keika!" Honestly, who teaches Keika to say such things? If this continues, she'll grow up like Mom. Getting up, I remembered that I was texting Hachiman last night. I checked my phone to see it again.

How was your new year?

It was great. We ate outside to celebrate the coming year. Keika liked the spicy chicken curry we ate earlier. Why did I bring up Keika? How about you?

Nothing much, it was just Komachi and I. Mom and Dad were working even in New Year. Can't even give their the children time of day. That was plain horrible. Even though Mom and Dad were also corporate slaves, at least they were considerate enough to take us out when it was special occasion.

That's unfortunate Was all I could reply.

It's fine. It wasn't our first New Year anyway. What did you wish for the coming year?

It's a secret! :P What a cringe reply! Am I trying to flirt with him?

All right then, keep your secrets. Is he mad?

Are you mad? I asked, thinking that I offended him.

Then what's the matter with "Keep your secrets then"?

It's a meme. Ah of course, I thought he was mad or something. If I remember, this was the time I fell asleep, so I wasn't able to answer him. Are you angry?

Looks like it, well then good night Saki. Oh no, I made him think I am angry. I quickly typed a reply.

No I'm not angry, I just fell asleep sorry. I hope this clears up the misunderstanding.

"Saa-chan, let's go out and buy new clothes!"

"Okay, let's get you new clothes."

"Remind me why am I here again?"

"Mou Hikki! We're buying gifts for Yukinon!" Yuigahama answered. Right, it's Yukinoshita's birthday tomorrow, and Yuigahama wanted to give her a gift.

"Right. Let's go." Yuigahama dragged me towards different stores, from luxurious dresses to glasses shop. She wore a red rimmed eyeglass then asked me if it made her look smarter.

"The idea that it makes you smarter if you wore glasses in itself is stupid Yuigahama."

"You could at least be nice HIkki, mou!" Yuigahama pouts for the nth time of the day. I had an Idea about a suitable gift for Yukinoshita, either a Pan-san merchandise or a novel that she can read. We continued to traverse the mall, with Yuigahama being successful finding a gift for Yukinoshita. She just grabbed a shirt that has Pan-san printed on it. With Yuigahama's gift now secure, she sighed in relief.

"Oh look, it's lunch time." I said as I checked my phone.

"Hikki, where are we eating?!" Yuigahama excitedly asked. To be honest, I just want to quickly go home since Yuigahama already found a gift.

"Ara, I guess I am lucky this year!" No, of all people, why Yukinoshita's sister is the one we're encountering?

"Oh, Hikitani-kun... and Yui?" Her companion, the Prince of Sobu, is present too.

"Hayato-kun, Haruno-san, Yahello!" Yuigahama enthusiastically greets them, which the demon superwoman returns.

"Yahello, Gahama-chan!" The elder Yukinoshita greets. "I heard you guys are looking for a place to eat?"

"No, we're actually going home now." I cut her off since I know where this conversation will go. However…

"Sure! Let's go with them Hikki!" Yuigahama had other plans.

"I'm fine, just go with them and I'll go home." I said in a last attempt to get away, Yukinoshita elder would not have any of it though.

"Come on Hikigaya-kun, I'll treat you."

"Alright." The nail to my coffin is already set the moment she mentioned free food. Why did I condition myself to agree to everything as long as there's free food?

Whatever, free food is the best food. The two brought us to Chiba Café Latte Club, which is an odd place to eat lunch at.

"So Hikigaya-kun, why are you two together? Are you cheating on Yukino-chan?"

"Yuigahama wanted to buy your little sister a gift for her birthday." I answered. This made the woman in front of me pout, which is something you don't associate with her.

"Right, it's Yukino-chan's birthday tomorrow." Hayama chimed in.

"So, have you got a gift for Yukino-chan?"

"Not yet, but I have something in mind. What are you guys doing together?" This time I asked the two.

"Our families have been friends even before we were born. We're with them earlier but they're talking to some friends." Hayama explained. "We're having a new year's celebration on the Yukinoshita mansion." He mouthed, saying something that I didn't need to know in the first place.

"Ah, I know, why don't we just call Yukino-chan here so you'll have her opinion, Hikigaya-kun?" It wasn't even a question as she dialed Yukinoshita's phone number. After a few rings, she picked up.

"What is it Nee-chan?"

"Are you alone?"

"I'm hanging up." I heard an audible sigh before that line. Yukinoshita elder just handed me the phone as she said that I should coerce her sister to come.

"Uhh… Hello."

"Hikigaya-kun? What are you doing there?" I barely uttered a word before she cut me off. "I'll be there." She said with a sigh.

"Yukinon, over here!" the ever enthusiastic Yuigahama greeted. Yukinoshita got a look of surprise on her face and asked how we got into this situation. "Well… Hikki and I were shopping before we got captured." The pinkette said as she sheepishly laughed and rubbed her head.

"Oh." I think that just caused some misunderstanding.

"Yukino-chan, you're late!"

"How dare you say that after making me come on a short notice?" Was the annoyed reply of the little sister.

"Now now, it looks like Yukino-chan rushed here so let's get along." As always, Hayama used his mediating skills to stir the conversation. "What will you have, Yukino-chan?"

"I'll have black tea then." Yukinoshita said as I grabbed the nearest chair so she could sit. After she got her drink, Yuigahama asked us what our wishes for the new year was.

"If I told you that, then it won't happen now would it?" Was the sign that her attempts to start a conversation was rejected, by the meddlesome meddler. So we were left with an awkward, tense atmosphere.

"I'm going to the washroom." I said as to try and escape the said situation. Reaching the washroom, I fixed myself up and waited a minute or two before coming back. When I exited, I saw an even more tense atmosphere than earlier.

"Haruno." I heard as I walked towards the table.

"Are you done?" The said person replied.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, Hayato." Judging by the tone of her voice, it seems that Yukinoshita's mother, suddenly appeared nowhere. The yukata she's wearing is somewhat familiar to me. "Your friends?"

"Yukino's." The elder sister then waved her hand towards me.

"Excu-" I didn't finish what I'm going to say as the woman in Yukata turned around and noticed me.

"Ara, aren't you HIkigaya-kun?" Yukinoshita's mother asked. This caused her daughters to raise a question.

""Hikigaya-kun, you know our mother?"" I somehow don't know how to answer such question. Do I tell them that I escorted her to Yukinoshita's apartment?

"He's the first man to make men feel good since your father."

Okay, now she's just making things more complicated. Now I see where the older sister got her mischievous, scheming personality. Her daughters looked like statues, which is expected since the subtext of what their mother said implies something. All I could do was sigh.

"Yukinoshita-san, I blame your subtext wording for their reaction." The woman just giggled which is uncharacteristic of her.

"Hikigaya-kun here, made me laugh hard. Ara, my daughters are thinking of something perverted, aren't they?" I motioned for her to sit, though she just waved it off. Looks like they won't be here for long now. "Remember the night I visited your apartment Yukino? Hikigaya-kun escorted me there since Ryota-san wasn't picking up that day." Thankfully, the mother cleared up the misunderstanding, I hope. "So, shall we head out?" Was her question to them. It looks like I was used as a bait to make Yukinoshita come here. She even looks at me which I interpret as her not wanting to come with them.

"Yukino-chan, let's go." But her sister wouldn't have any of it.

"Yuigahama, come on, we should go." I said to Yuigahama, who for some reason, wasn't talkative as she should. She's probably intimidated by Yukinoshita's mother to even do something. The tense girl then stood up and bid farewell to the four. "Have a great day."

"Let's talk again sometime, Hikigaya-kun." Yukinoshita's mother said. I hope this doesn't again soon, or at all. Yuigahama and I walked out of the café, and Yuigahama just straight up bid me farewell too. I think she also had enough for today.

So, I am just going home.

"Haa-chan!" Maybe not. Kawasaki Keika, ran towards me, with her sister in hot pursuit.

"Hachiman?" Kawasaki managed to say through bated breaths. "What are you doing here?"

"I was with Yuigahama earlier. She wanted to buy a gift for Yukinoshita's birthday." I explained. I looked at Keika who looks happy finding me.

"See Saa-chan, I told you I saw Haa-chan earlier!"

"You didn't have to leave me behind to chase him you know?" The sister berated.

"I'm sorry Saa-chan, I won't do it again." Keika dejectedly answers. "Where are you going now Haa-chan?"

"I'm going home, this day is very tiring."

"Eh?" Was Keika's reaction. "Come with us, we're looking for clothes!"

"Keika! Let him go. Don't listen to her Hachiman."

"But Saa-chan!" Keika looks like she's going to cry.

Damnit, this is why I get called a siscon. "You know what? I'll join you guys." My words seemed to make the younger Kawasaki smile in joy, while making the older one look at me in question.

"Are you sure Hachiman? Weren't you tired?"

"It's fine, I just can't stand seeing Keika's sad face." My answer seems to annoy her, as she mutters something along the lines of me being a siscon. What can I do? I don't like seeing cute girls cry. "I am going to buy a present for Yukinoshita anyway."

"You weren't able to?"

"Yuigahama dragged me towards a hundred different stores earlier." Was my answer.

"Yay! Let's go, Haa-chan, Saa-chan!" The younger Kawasaki dragged the both of us towards a shop. I can clearly hear some people behind me saying that we look like a family, much to my chagrin. Keika brought us in a clothing shop named Uqlo.

"I'll wait here." I said as Keika dragged her sister towards the shelves which has assortment of clothes. I pulled up my phone to check for messages.

What a normie move Hachiman, you don't have friends who will text you right?

Shut up, self. I saw a text from Yuigahama.

Have you reached your home, Hikki?

I'm still at the mall. Keika cornered me. Was my reply. Then, just after sending that message, mu phone vibrated.

So you're with Saki-chan and Keika-chan… I wish I could go back but I'm already riding the train.

Then I'm safe.

Hikki! You're really mean! What a fast reply. Having nimble fingers is really a perk of having friends to text with.

I'm kidding. Keep safe.

"Haa-chan, what do you think of this?" Keika was wearing a red tutu dress with matching shoes. She did a twirl so I can see the back of it. She looks like a princess. "Do I look good?" Keika questioned.

"Yeah, you look like a princess. Where's your sister?" I asked as I noticed the Kawasaki is not behind her.

"Saa-chan's looking for clothes to wear too!" Keika then went back to look for more clothes. Since I don't have much to do, I just went around to look for clothes that I think would look good for myself. I saw some nice jackets that is not just practical, but also stylish. There's also clothes that I think would look good on Komachi.

"Haa-chan!" I don't know how long I took to browse clothes, but I think I took long enough for Keika to find something, wear it, and ask for my opinion. "How about my looks now?" This time, she's wearing a white blouse, denim jeans, and leather boots.

"Are you trying to be a cowgirl? You look nice, I like it."

"How about me, Hachiman?" Kawasaki arrived and asked about my opinion. She's wearing a black jacket with a white shirt underneath. She was wearing black pants and her black sneaker. Her style really reminds me of Shirase Sakuya. The way Kawasaki carries herself when she's wearing our uniform, I'm really reminded about it. She posed different poses then asked me again. "Do I look good?"

"Yes, Saki, I like yours too." She turned her head away from me, then muttered something that I didn't hear at all. "So are you done looking for clothes?" I asked.

"We're done." I heard Keika complain a bit, saying that she wanted to browse some more.

Kawasaki wouldn't have any of it though. They paid for the clothes, and walked out. "Thank you for coming with us here, Hachiman. Are you going to buy a present for Yukinoshita now?" I nodded. "I guess you should go now. You look tired that you'll collapse at any moment." Do I really look that tired? I guess putting up with Yuigahama, the demon superwoman, her Ice cold sister, then their scary temptress of a mother really is tiring.

"Are you going to be fine?" I asked. She nodded and then made Keika bid farewell.

"Bye bye Haa-chan! Come home soon, Mom says she misses you already!" That Sakaki-san… I honestly don't mind going there, but I don't want any more teasing from another woman.

"See you next time, Keika. I'll see you in class Saki." We walked opposite directions. They went towards the deeper part of the mall, while I walked towards the exit, where a small bookstore is located. I quickly browsed the international section, where I quickly found the book I plan to give her. I planned to give Yukinoshita a book titled Beowulf, which I think she haven't read yet. After paying for it, I continued my journey back home, as the sky turn orange.

When I reached my home, Komachi was taking a nap. I didn't bother her and just went for a quick shower and try to recover my energy by napping.

When I woke up, it's already Monday morning.
