"Oya, Hachiman." Greeted the raven haired woman in front of me. She was Yukino Yukinoshita, the CEO of Yukinoshita Constructions. A beautiful and intellectual woman.

She also used to be my club mate back in high school.

"Good Evening, Yukinoshita-san." I bowed as I greeted. The said woman just glared at me lightly. I guess she hates the formal way of greeting me. Her brows furrowed, and she pouted which made her look like a school girl. Very unfitting of her stature, considering our high school days were over.

Fifteen years ago to be exact.

A lot has happened since then. Most of us got jobs, settled down and had families of our own. Yuigahama got married to an upperclassman she met in college. Iroha works on Yukinoshita's company and is married to one of her coworkers. Hayama went overseas and studied law. When he came back, he was already married to a woman named Amelia Watson, who was a famous model overseas. Ebina became an editor for Shounen jump, and married Zaimokuza of all people.

Kinda convenient to have your wife be your editor, right?

Miura, works as an executive secretary of the current Prime Minister of Japan, and is married to Tobe. Apparently, one crazy college party led to them waking up on the same bed without any clothing. From then on, they've hit it off and now has two kids.

Even Hiratsuka-sensei, who raged about not having a partner back then, was now happily married and have three kids, all of whom named after her favorite shounen protagonists.

Out of all of the people I know back then, only Yukinoshita was not yet settled. Even I get hitched, and married a girl. Crazy, I know, but my story may be told in another time.

The said ravenette spoke at me. "Mother was right, being called that formal by you is very irritating." She pinched the bridge of her nose as she mentioned her mother, who was now retired and enjoys the company of her grandchildren. "Drop the formalities with me, Hachiman. We've had a history, right?" The teasing tone used by Yukino was all familiar to me. It was the same tone that her mother uses, as well as Haruno.

"Right, good evening, Yukino." I greeted her once again. She smiled when she heard me call her name. So, why am I with Yukino in the first place?

Well after graduating from college, I taught Modern Japanese at Sobu high, before Yukino gave me a position at their company. She made me her secretary, which I still grumble about every day. I'm sure she just made me her secretary to gloat about her being better than me.

"So, where are we headed this time?" I asked her. I forgot to tell you, but being her secretary, I also doubled as her bodyguard, driver, and butler. Too tiresome of a job right? Especially when your boss is a slave driver.

Yukino frowned at my question, and exuded a loud sigh. "To APA Hotel, there's a party I need to attend to." I could only pity her situation. We both hated social events, but unlike me, who could skip them, Yukino had no choice but to attend them, or the reputation of their company would plummet.

Ha! I win this time. Hachiman – 2, Yukino - All other points.

"What time do I need to pick you up?" I asked her. "You know I have to go home early tonight right?" I always want to go home early, so I could get a good night's sleep, and cuddle with my wife. After I asked her the question, she smiled at me which I already knew what it meant. "Oi, don't tell me you want me to escort you there?" I looked at the mirror to see her facial expression, but she turned her face from me so I couldn't see her face at all.

"I need an escort." She replied. "And sadly, you're the only person available at the moment." Don't be disappointed Yukino, I should be the one disappointed, to be honest. The only thing I could do at this point is to sigh, and to pray that my wife would not be angry at me.

After sighing loudly, which I'm sure took all the remaining years of my life, I responded to her. "Fine, but you're the one who's going to explain to my wife about it."

"That's easy to do." Smirked Yukino. I observed her face through the rear view mirror as I replied to her.

"In person." The smirking ravenette, paled at what I said.

"That's hard to do. We both know that your wife doesn't like me." She replied. To be honest, my wife is angry at her because not only she is a slave driver, but because I am always beside Yukino. Who wouldn't be angry at that? Your husband is spending time with another woman.

"Then you're going there alone. Besides, there's one person that would love to see you every time."

"Fine." She relented. "I'll come with you later to explain why you're late. This makes you sound like you're on curfew." She quipped. "Because I need a decent escort. As much as I don't like meeting your wife, I don't like dealing with guys who wanted to bed me, just because I am beautiful or because of my company."

"That's not my problem, really. You should find a partner and settle down, or you would be like Hiratsuka-sensei if you're still single." She glared at me after hearing what I said.

"I have been unlucky in such endeavor, as the one I've found is unfortunately unavailable at the moment." She replied, clearly hinting at someone who I know is probably me. The last time we talked about us were back when we handled the prom for our seniors. Not to be outdone, I quipped at her.

"That's sad. We both know Hayama wouldn't trade Amelia-san for anyone else." Once again observing her facial expression. "She's got you beat, in one way or another." Clearly getting what I'm hinting at, she glared at me after hearing what I said. She wanted to fight back, but I cut off her chance to do so. "We're here, make sure this is worth it, Yukino."

"Hachiman, thank you for being my escort tonight." The ravenette in the back seat of the car thanked me. "You're such a gentleman, but we all knew that." It was rare to hear Yukino say something neutral about me, much less compliment me outright.

Still, I'll have to bark back a reply to that right? "I aim to please." This got her to giggle. It was silent after she managed to calm down.

"Ne Hachiman…" Yukino started to speak once more. "Do you think… that if you never confessed to her, we'll be together?"

So even Yukinoshita Yukino had what-ifs? That was something new, especially because Yukino rarely talks about herself, even if we're together most of the time. The tone of her voice suggests that she's drunk. I remember seeing her talking to a lot of people, maybe she got drunk because of it?

"Have I ever told you that your Mother offered me to be her son-in-law?" Her eyes widened at what I said, clearly not able to believe my words. Looking back at it, it was really strange for a mother to do that, especially Yukino's mom, who doesn't have that much interaction with her before then.

"Then what did you answer her?" Is that excitement I am hearing in her voice? That makes her sound as desperate as Hiratsuka-sensei before she got married. "When was that offer?"

"It was when I was negotiating with her for your prom proposal." She nodded in understanding. "And for my answer, you probably knew what I answered."

"I do, but please elaborate the reason." She's dead set on knowing huh?

"I rejected it, for your sister just sees me as entertainment." Her look screamed at me to continue, which I did. "And back then, you clearly hated my guts. Which I think even now you do." Her face morphed into a look of shock.

"So you think that I hate you?" The ravenette's brows furrowed at me. "If I really did hate you, wouldn't you think that I would've picked you up from Sobu right?" I sense the irritation in her voice. While I hate how low the pay of Sobu was, considering that it was a prestigious private school, I loved teaching students. I only agreed with Yukinoshita's proposition for the pay is much better.

"You make it sound like I'm a kid you picked up from the streets." It was my turn to be angry. "You could blame me for all your what-ifs, Yukinoshita-san, but I, no we, both know who to blame for that." If she ever the courage to confess back then, I would've accepted it. Hell, maybe we're the ones married if she did that, but enough about what could've been. I'm happy with my life now. "Look Yukinoshita, I am happy with what I have right now. A job that pays well, a loving wife and lots of rest. Maybe you need to let go of the past and start looking forward, maybe you'll find yours too." If what I said wasn't enough, I doubled down on it by speaking once more. "We could start with me resigning. I could always go back into teaching students."

"No! You don't need to do that!" Exclaimed Yukino. "You don't need to go that far." The desperation in her voice made me pity her once more. Silence enveloped the car and made the situation tense. I heard her sigh and the she spoke again. "I'm sorry, Hachiman. Maybe I'm just bitter that my first love got away due to me not doing anything." Finally honest to yourself huh?

"They say the first step to dealing with problems requires you to admit that there's a problem." I replied. She smiled at me after hearing what I said.

We spent the remaining minutes of the ride towards my house talking about what happened in the party earlier.

"Well here we are, make sure your explanation is ready, Yukino."

She flipped her hair and got off the car. "I don't back down from a challenge." She smirked.

"Well good luck with that. I won't help you at all."

I never wanted a big house. The coziness of a smaller house is tough to beat, that's why like Mom and Dad, me and my wife did the same. Our house is a standard up and down house, with four bedrooms, toilets on both floors, and a garage space for the car I'm driving. Before I even opened the door, I could already see the silhouette of my wife behind it.

She always knew when I'm home.

Opening it, the flowing silver hair she had greeted me. Her purple eyes narrowed and her brows furrowed. She was wearing a red t-shirt underneath the apron she's currently using. Both of her hands were positioned on her hips.

Is it bad if I like this look of hers? Of course not, she's my wife after all.

"Good evening, Hachiman." She spoke with a sweet voice that is very much the opposite of what she looks like right now. "How was work? Overtime?" She always expected me to answer quick, lest she would get angrier.

"Pretty much." I replied. "Though it's not my fault that I was late." I quickly grabbed her hands, holding them so I could calm her down. "Good evening, Saki." I said as I kissed her forehead, which did the job of calming down the woman in front of me. She blushed as she gave me a chaste kiss on the lips.

You heard that right, my wife is Kawasaki Saki.

After high school, she pursued college as a fashion designer. Now, her clothing brand, Tsuki, was one of the biggest brands in Japan, and expanding globally. She's an amazing woman who achieved all her dreams and more.

I was beside her every step of the way.

Yukino appeared from behind me, which surprised my silver haired wife. "Good evening Saki-san, I hope you'll forgive him for late. There's a party I attended and I ask him to be my escort." Hearing this, my wife pouted at me, which I'll admit looks cute.

"Sounds like you just wanted to have Hachiman as your date." Replied Saki, who wrapped her arms on my waist. Yukino smiled at Saki's obvious display of dominance over me.

"Well what can I say, your husband is an amazing man."

"That I can agree on." Saki let go of me, and then shouted. "Oi Kana-chan, your favorite aunt is here!" There was a ruffling sound coming from the second floor, before a set of heavy footfalls came from the stairs. A six year old with long, silver hair came down to greet us. She looked at us before she ran into Yukino.

"Yukino-baa-chan!" The young girl wrapped her arms on Yukino, who was pouting when she heard what she was called.

"Kana-chan, calling me baa-chan makes me feel old." The young silverette laughed as the raven haired woman pouted.

This young girl, is Hikigaya Kanata, my daughter.

"Good evening dad! Did Yukino-baa-chan made you work overtime again?" Questioned Kanata. I nodded affirmatively to answer her. "Geez! Do you like my papa that way, Yukino-baa-chan?" This prompted the said ravenette to get flustered.

Saki was laughing at Yukino's predicament.

"Well…" My wife clapped to get our attention. "Let's eat dinner!" I wanted to say that we already ate, since we came from a party, but the look she gave at me tells me that arguing is pointless. All I could do at this point is to eat what she cooked.

No biggie, my wife is an amazing cook.

After Yukino's farewell, the residents of the Hikigaya-Kawasaki household all went to bed. Kanata didn't want to separate from her beloved aunt, but Yukino promised she would visit tomorrow, which made our daughter reluctantly agree to let the woman go.

Now, Saki and I were lying on the bed. We were cuddling as we watched a movie on Notflicks. "So, what happened earlier?" Saki asked me how my day went. This is our daily routine. Saki asks me about my work and I done the same, though I don't ask the specifics because I don't know the jargons fashion designers use.

"Yukinoshita asked me to be her escort, that's why I was late tonight." She pouted once again. Usually, I was at home before dinner, which ensures that all of us eat dinner together. There are times where I overtime, and normally I text Saki about it. "Sorry for not informing you about it." I said and kissed her forehead, which made her embrace me tighter, probably to hide her blush.

It was cute when she first did it. Now, it still is.

"I'll repeat what I said earlier. She probably did it because she wanted you to be her boyfriend." Saki, while she sounds jealous, was right. Yukino had many chances to get another escort. Hell, she could've went to any party alone and walk out with a decent guy or two. But for some reason, she always asked me to accompany her to social gatherings. "Too bad, she was too late. Sixteen years late to be exact." Saki then stopped hiding her face, and looked me in the eyes. "I still remember our first date."

I do too, which made me reminisce once more.

Saki was standing in front of WcDonalds, her face looking at her phone. My best guess to why she is looking at her phone was either she's checking the time, or she's waiting for a text. Specifically, a text from me. I decided to surprise her by utilizing one of my 108 skills.

Stealth Hikki.

In full effect, this would make me invisible even if in front of a person who is looking for me. The only person that counters this move is Yuigahama, who always had her eyes on me.

Walking until I am behind her, made me observe her dress. She was wearing a white cardigan, underneath it, was a gray t-shirt that has a name of a band printed on it. So Saki loves Burnout Syndromes huh? Her black skater skirt fluttered as the wind blew.

I feel underdressed compared to her, even though she was wearing casual clothes.

Time to surprise her, I guess. Pulling up my phone, I dialed her number as it rang. Since she was looking at it already, it only rang for a second before getting answered. "Hello? Hachiman?" Her voice was frantic, I don't know if it was because she was excited or something. "Where are you? I can't seem to find you in our meeting place."

"I'm here." Since I was behind her, I just needed to speak louder for me to catch her attention, which I did. She immediately turned around and was shocked to see me standing behind her. "Yo, Saki."

That snapped her out of her stupor, and exclaim at my prank. "Don't scare me like that, Hachiman!" After she calmed down, she asked how long was I standing behind her.

"Not that long, I just got here." I offered my hand to her. "Let's go?"

The silverette smiled at me before grabbing my hand.

"I remember the prank I did back then."

"Right, I was scared shitless when I heard your voice behind me." She said as I laughed. "It could've been better if you just said "Nothing personal kid" to me, that would've been perfect."

"You're right, but it would have been overkill if I did that." We both laughed at that.

Saki's laugh was pleasant to the ears. I'll never get tired hearing it.

"Thank you for believing in me back then Saki."

She looked at me with curiosity as she questioned me. "What for?" I used my right hand to caress her face.

"Nothing, I'm just grateful that you're with me. I love you Saki, now and forever." She blushed at my words. She buried her face on my chest once more, tightening our embrace.

"I love you too, Hachiman."

FIN

A/N: Hey, you've done it! You've reached the end! Thank you for reading!

This story has been a wild ride. What started as a good concept and a good plot point got resolved too quickly, which made the story lose its direction. But still, I'm proud of this work as it's the second series that is more than three chapters long that I've finished!

I know that there'll be great authors that'll step up to the task with the original premise of this story. Which is why I love this site, and I'll wait for the day someone takes up the challenge and wow us with brilliant writing.

Well my original plan was to end this in nine chapters. And to incorporate the title itself into mini-arcs of three chapters each. (Hachiman being misunderstood, him misunderstanding someone else, and then the resolution.) Guess plans always goes FUBAR when you try to implement it huh? Well it's still a blast writing this.

Now, that I've finished this. What are my plans? Well, first off, we'll all go back to Fuyume and her clinginess to Hachiman in Hachiman Becoming Better. I predict that It'll span twenty chapters plus before the final bowl takes place.

Other stuff? Well, I plan to write more Shokugeki no Soma Oneshots, my Spotify playlist is getting larger and larger, and there's a song or two that I would like to write a story about. My Shokugeki no Soma works are my experiments per se, which I derived some of the writing styles implemented on my stories.

Yeah I did it, I'm in the rabbit hole so I married Hayama with Watson, as well as naming Saki and Hachiman's kid as Kanata, for it's the name that came up on my mind when I thought of silver. Should I bring Coco on Hachiman Becoming Better? Let me know if you're up with that. I have plans with Yui's Mom, as well as I plan to add Chifuyu Orimura, if not evidenced on the summer camp chapter of the story.

Thank you for taking this journey with me! I love all the support you guys gave me.

Well, I guess back to Fuyume simping.

Stay tuned, I might drop a new story or two in the following days.

Thank you once again! Fave the story if you liked it! And as always, thanks for reading!
