Well ladies and gentlemen, I write this chapter from my brand new MacBook. This is my wee achievement, as I worked hard to get this, so yeah, I'm proud of myself today, and I hope you're proud of yourself too 3.

Anyway, the chapter. Just one of my own today. As those who follow me on Twitter know, about a month back, I had a weird spell of wanting to watch the Twilight movies (don't me). This weird spell inspired this chapter.

Jennifer: Sorry, I only take one request at a time. As it happens, I'm afraid neither of those would work for different reasons. Sorry.

"Snow-"

"Don't." Snow snarled. She felt like a lion ready to pounce. Charming, beside her, was having a similar reaction. It wasn't helped by Blue's seeming lack of care to the thought that this was a child they were discussing. Their child. She almost seemed to be resisting the urge to roll her eyes at them.

"You know how restricted magic is in the kingdom, and for good reason. Dark magic nearly destroyed us all."

"The decision to restrict the use of magic was taken entirely out of our hands, as you very well know." Charming responded curtly. "Well before Emma's birth. Emma is the product of true love. She will grow up to be the greatest Saviour the kingdom has ever know." He defended his daughter. He couldn't believe they were even entertaining this conversation. Emma was six years old. She wasn't going anywhere, magic or not. Blue sighed impatiently.

"You both know that is just half of the prophecy surrounding your daughter. Yes, her magic might result in her becoming a Saviour, but it could also result in her becoming the most powerful villain the realm has ever seen." Blue reminded them. "We're not talking about leaving her to fend for herself. She would be under the careful protection and tuition of myself and the other fairies…"

"Between you and us I think I know who's more likely to turn her dark." Charming muttered under his breath. Blue gave him a sharp look, but ignored him.

"It is for the safety of everyone that you allow Emma to come with us." Blue said, fighting to stay calm.

"And it is for your safety that you do not attempt to take our daughter." Snow warned their former ally. Blue's nostrils flared at this, but before she could respond, a timid voice was heard from the door.

"Mommy?" Everyone looked round. Snow and Charming's hearts sped up. Charming shot Blue a glare, warning her what happened if she made any sudden movements.

"Mommy, daddy, why are you shouting? It's night time. Why is Blue here?"

"It's alright, sweetie." Snow said, as calmly as possible under the circumstances. She walked over, giving her eldest a smile. She picked her up, holding her close as she walked back over to Charming's side. Charming's kissed the side of Emma's head before standing ever so slightly in front of Snow and Emma, shielding them.

"Blue was just leaving, honey." Charming announced. Blue gave them both a look.

"You both know my plan is for the best…"

"But I don't want to leave." Emma piped up. The adults all looked at her. Had she been listening? "Please don't make me. I'll be a good girl…"

"Nobody is taking you anywhere." Snow promised her daughter, glaring at Blue. "Ever. Mommy and daddy won't let them." Blue sighed, readying herself to fly away.

"This could start a war, I hope you know." She warned the royals. "I just hope you're ready to have that on your conscience."

"There will be no war over this." Charming said confidently. "Even if there was, we would lose no sleep over it. We would be on the right side. Nobody will be taking my daughter over some silly prophecy. Emma is staying with us. I will happily fight with anyone who tries to take her from me." Charming warned her. Blue gave them both a disapproving look before leaving from the window. Charming turned and wrapped his arms tightly around two of his girls. Snow and Charming shared a look over Emma's head. This might not end well, they knew that. But for Emma, or any of their children, they were willing to pay whatever price was necessary.
