Mine!

Codi asked for a oneshot of Neal being a toddler and going through a "mine" stage. He decides that Emma's blanket is his. Emma tries to get it off him without upsetting him, but she is visibly getting upset. Mama Snow saves the day.

Guest: Sorry, I don't write ship requests.

"Come on buddy, you've got your own one. Can Emma just have this one back…"

"MINE!" The toddler exclaimed furiously. At first, Snow smirked around her mug of tea. Neal was going through a "mine" stage. She and Charming had been dealing with it since it started a few days ago. Maybe now it was his big sister's turn to suffer his wrath. Snow was prepared to accidentally ignore her son's tantrum and let Emma handle it…until she noticed that as Emma tried to reason with her little brother, her voice was becoming more and more desperate. Snow frowned. That wasn't like Emma at all. Neal had her wrapped around her little finger, normally, she gave in to his every whim. The fact that she wasn't giving in told Snow that something was wrong. She put down her mug and went to investigate.

As soon as she got into Neal's playroom and saw what Emma and Neal were fighting over, Snow understood. It seemed Neal had taken a shining to Emma's baby blanket. It was the one item Emma was sentimental about, so it made sense she didn't want a toddler running around with it. Snow and Charming didn't like Neal watching too much TV. They pretty much limited it to a couple of episodes of In the night garden before bedtime each night. Although sometimes he snuck in the odd cartoon. Neal knew TV during the day was a big treat, and it was time for Snow to pull out the big guns.

"Hey buddy, want to watch Mickey Mouse?" Snow asked the tot. Neal instantly spun around. A massive toothless grin spread across his face. "Ok, well, you give Emmy back her blanket and we'll go watch some together." Snow bargained. Neal immediately handed the blanket over and began to totter out of the room. Emma's shoulders dropped in relief. She looked over to her mom and mouthed a silent

Thank you.

Snow smiled warmly in return. It was about time she had to sort out a sibling squabble between the two. She was just glad it got done without any tears.
