Christmas bauble

A guest so kindly and politely asked for a oneshot of Emma's first Christmas with her family and Snow getting her a "first Christmas" ornament to hang on the tree. Set as though there was no curse.

Again, sorry for the delay. It's been dark and foggy all day and I'm hungover tae fuck. Never felt more Scottish in all my life (I can be racist about my own country).

When you find out that you're going to have a baby, there's an instant flash of things you know you'll get to experience with them. Or at least there was for Snow. As soon as she had it confirmed that she was pregnant with Emma, Snow began to think about all the things she and Charming would get to experience with her. All those marvellous milestones. One Snow was most looking forward to was Emma's first Christmas. Snow was, of course, a winter baby. She might not enjoy her birthday after her mother's untimely death, but she still loved the magic that was Christmas. Her father always made sure Christmas was still special for her. A tradition Snow intended to carry on with her own children. Starting with her little Emma. She might only be a couple of months old, but that wasn't going to stop either of her parents from spoiling her on her first ever Christmas. Snow made sure the palace was looking as grand and splendid as possible. She had the finest tree chosen from the forest and brought into the grand ballroom. She used the best decorations they had. All the shiny baubles and beads. There would be one new ornament this year.

"Now, my little one, there is a very special tradition in this family." Snow cooed to the tiny baby in her arms. Charming stood with his arm around Snow, smiling down at Emma. "Every new baby's first Christmas is marked with a very special Christmas tree bauble. Now it's your turn." Charming held the bauble in front of Emma, who looked up at it wide eyed. Together, he and Snow placed Emma's bauble on the branch beside Snow's now slightly faded one. It was a bright red bauble with gold writing detailing her name and date of birth. It was simply perfect.
