Caught red eyed

Elizabeth asked for a oneshot of Snowing finding weed in the loft and assuming it's Henry's. When they confront him, he denies it. They ground him since both his moms are away for the weekend. Upon their return, they find out it was Emma's when they find her smoking a joint behind Granny's with Red, no less. Hilarity ensures.

Guest: It seems you still think I'm stupid.

"I swear!" Henry protested his innocence. If either of his grandparents had his mother's lie detecting abilities, they would have known Henry was telling the truth. The weed they found in the loft truly didn't belong to him; it belonged to Emma (not that Henry knew that either, otherwise he would have totally grassed her up).

"Henry, it certainly doesn't belong to either of us, and I'm prepared to bet most two year olds don't know many weed dealers, so that narrows us down to you." Charming reasoned. "Henry, you must know by now that lying just makes it worse…"

"But I'm not lying!" Henry shouted, frustrated that he wasn't being believed. Snow gave Henry a stern look.

"Henry, please don't raise your voice at us." She warned him. Henry swallowed back his anger, but just barely. Why couldn't they see he was telling the truth?! "Since neither of your moms are in town, or are even reachable, really, that leaves us in charge of a punishment. At least until they come back." Snow told him.

"So that means your grounded until they get back at the weekend. Then it's their decision what to do." Charming said. Henry was fuming. He refused to so much as respond to that. It wasn't his damn drugs! It was trippy enough being an Author without adding marijuana into the mix. So, Snow and Charming left him to sulk. Maybe next time he would make better choices.

When Emma and Regina both came back from the conference in Boston, Snow and Charming explained the situation, and how Henry had completely denied it was his. Neither noticed Emma's sheepish domineer as they explained it to her. There was no way she was telling her parents the pot was hers. She felt bad letting the kid take the wrap for it, but now he was back with her he was officially un-grounded, and had an allowance raise. Emma thought she had gotten away with it…until her parents caught her red-handed outside of Granny's.

One of Emma's smoking buddies was often Red. Working with her grandmother at the diner was stressful. Being a Saviour was stressful. They had both found the same way to relieve their stress, and to them, it just made sense to do it together. At least it did until they got caught by Snow and Charming.

"Emma Ruth, that pot wasn't Henry's at all, was it?!" Snow shouted. Emma jumped. She felt her face go red. She quickly dropped her joint and stubbed it out.

"Really, you let Henry take the fall for you?" Charming asked, disappointed.

"Technically, the damage had already been done. All I did was stop you from feeling bad for wrongfully punishing your only grandson." Emma tried to defend herself. "And I raised his allowance." She added.

"You're smoking pot with your goddaughter now?" Snow asked her best friend. Red shrugged.

"Well she's gonna do it anyway. May as well make sure she's doing it with a responsible adult." Red commented.

"I am a responsible adult!" Emma squeaked.

"I'd maybe lead with a different line after letting your teenager take the fall for you, kiddo." Red muttered. Emma rolled her eyes. Now she was being called kiddo? "Besides, I'm surprised it's taken you this long to work out that this is Emma's coping system. Haven't you noticed the smell? Or the red eyes? Or the sudden late-night cravings for grilled cheese with extra onion rings…"

"Ok Red, I think they get the picture." Emma mumbled. She guessed she was going to have to find a different munchies option now to avoid being caught again. Some godmother!
