An accidental wish

Jade Star asked for a oneshot of *season 6 spoilers!* (Aussie update, please?) Snowing experiencing Emma and Henry's powers for 24 hours. Snow has visions/tremors and Charming is exhausted from constantly going in and out of the Author trance. When Emma and Henry regain their powers, Snowing are able to empathise more.

Guest: I'm not sure that's something I can write for you.

It had been a surreal twenty four hours. A day that taught the Charming family once and for all a lesson they all really should have learned by now: be careful what you wish for.

Snow hadn't even realised she'd been in the presence of a genie when she'd made the wish. She'd just been having an innocent (and private) conversation with Charming in the diner about how hard it was sometimes to understand what Emma and Henry went through having superhuman abilities. How she wished they could have a better idea of what their daughter and grandson went through on a regular basis. How were either of them supposed to know that, also in the diner, was a recently freed genie? He wasn't meaning to cause any trouble. He was simply wanting to grant one last wish before he enjoyed a peaceful retirement. So when they woke up the next morning, Snow experienced the problems all Saviours faced as Emma had. Meanwhile, Charming was slipping in and out of the Author trance far too many times to keep track.

"This is terrifying." Snow told Charming as her hands shaked uncontrollably.

"Tell me about it." Emma murmured quietly from the other side of the room. Not so quietly that Snow was unable to hear her. She felt a pang of guilt. Is that what her baby girl had been suffering with before defeating the Black Fairy? It was awful! How was she supposed to get anything done? She felt like there was a goblin weighing down her shoulders. Like she was completely useless.

Charming shook himself, trying to avoid slipping into trance again. This was infuriating! He had no idea when he would be pulled under again. It felt like he was pretty much trapped in the house. It wasn't like he could drive anywhere. What if he had an episode whilst on the road? Someone could get seriously hurt.

"Man, I don't know how you handle this, Henry." Charming said, rubbing his temple. His head was pounding from all the visions of all the different people in Storybrooke he guessed he was documenting whilst in a trance. Screeds of paper were beginning to clutter up the living room. Henry just shrugged, smiling at his grandfather.

"Tylenol helps." He gave his grandfather a helpful tip. Charming nodded. He felt awful as well. Poor Henry going through this on a daily basis. They both knew Emma and Henry must be under a lot of pressure with their respective powers, but nothing like this. How did a person cope with this every day? If gave them both a newfound respect for both Emma and Henry. One which, even after the powers had gone the next day, they would remember for as long as they lived.
