Chapter 8
Is the Girl Genius a Monster? The Brainwashing Cram School of Horror
In the dark Throne Room, Jadeite and Sephiroth stood before the wicked Queen Beryl.
"So many human school children have been made completely miserable because they're forced to study," said the blonde warlord.
"Yes, I've heard that parents desperate for their children to succeed can be even harder on their kids than our monsters would be," replied Beryl.
"That's right, my queen, some parents will go to almost unimaginable lengths in order to get their children into a top rated university. From preschool to highschool, they'll stop at nothing to see that their children get the best education," Jadeite said.
"I see. And what happens after they leave that first rate university?" asked the wicked empress.
"It's simple… Some choose to be doctors. Others wish to become soldiers. And one day they will be regarded as heroes that people look up to," answered Sephiroth.
"Indeed, such ideals are quite common for people to accept, no matter when or where they come from. Either way it could be quite useful for us. However, if we were to use that to our advantage, it would enable you to acquire a great deal of power to impress your great ruler, Beryl," added Maleficent.
"Maleficent is correct, I say we go with her suggestion," said Jadeite.
Beryl nodded, and motioned for Jadeite to begin preparations for the task she had granted him.
"Yes ma'am," he said, as he bowed and left.
In Tsukino Residence, Usagi was laughing hysterically at the manga she was reading, when her mother approached her.
"Oh, hey mom, you should look at this, it's so funny," she said.
Keiko laughed as well, then Sora, Riku, Kairi, Aqua, Ventus, Terra, Namine, Goofy, Donald, Mickey, Roxas, Axel, and Xion. but Keiko composed herself, and gave her daughter a serious look.
"Now isn't the time to be laughing. The practice test you took, well how did it go?" she asked.
"The results don't come out until tomorrow, but I wouldn't worry about that," she said with a light chuckle.
"Look Usagi, I don't ask much from you when it comes to school, just please try not to fail, okay?" replied her mother.
But poor Usagi wailed loudly, making Sora fold his arms over his chest.
Way to go Keiko, you just had to make your daughter cry her eyes out again, he thought.
"If there's a top of a class, there has to be a bottom too. So I'm actually helping by making those kids look good. There's no one in the entire world that suffers more, than kids who get scolded for bad grades," sobbed Usagi.
"Honestly Usagi, you sure do come up with some bizarre arguments. Your grades would make anyone burst into tears," replied her mother.
When Usagi got to her room, she was having even more difficulty with her homework.
"Stop whining Usagi. Education is important you know," said Luna, as she paced back and forth.
"Easy for you to say. It must be nice for you to be a cat," remarked Usagi.
"What are you talking about?" asked the cat.
"I wish I were a cat and had nothing to do," sighed the girl.
"Give me a break. I have all kinds of things to do. I have a princess to locate," grumbled Luna.
But as she jumped onto the table, Usagi quickly hid what she had on the table beneath her arms.
"Hey, you're just reading Manga!" Luna said, with a hint of annoyance in her voice.
"And not just that, but you know you need to try being a bit more like Hayner, Pence, and Olette," added Roxas.
"Hayner, Pence, and Olette?" asked Luna.
"Yeah, they were Roxas' friends from the other Twilight Town Ansem the Wise created from the data he managed to get, when he went by the name of DiZ," said Riku, remembering what Sora had told him.
"If only Usagi could share her passion for Manga with something meaningful, like helping me find the princess," the cat said to the silverette.
"Aw, come on," complained Usagi.
"Your destiny is to find the princess and to battle the darkness. Accept it, responsibilities don't vanish because you ignore them," Luna said to her.
"I never asked for this. And besides when you say darkness, it's obviously what Sora and his friends are fighting as well," Usagi barked back at her.
"That's true, they do fight the Heartless that's being summoned in all worlds in the Realm of Light," replied Luna.
"Yeah, but what are they?" she asked.
"To make a long story short, the Heartless always prey on people who have darkness inside their hearts. And when they manage to ensnare them in their trap, that's when they take those hearts, so that they can increase their ranks. Many hearts have been taken by Heartless, and sooner or later they'll be too numerous to destroy. But darkness is always patient. It waits until the moment it strikes without warning. But if everyone's hearts were filled with light, then the Heartless would simply cease to exist," explained Sora.
When Luna heard those words, she walked up to Sora.
"Sora, come with me. There's something I want to show you," she said to him.
Sora nodded, then he asked his friends to help Usagi with her homework and followed Luna out of the house. Slowly but stealthily, they made their way to Crown Arcade.
"So what now, Luna?" he asked his feline friend.
Then Luna clambered up to a video game console, which he knew as Sailor V: the Game.
"Codename 0091, this is Luna," she said.
She touched the screen.
"Passphrase, the rabbit on the moon is pounding rice cakes," continued Luna.
"The moon's rice cakes are sticky," a voice said from the console.
"And they puff up when you toast them as well," she replied.
Password accepted. Have you found the princess?" asked the voice.
"Not yet, and I don't have any leads. But, I have made contact with a group of Keyblade Wielders called the Guardians of Kingdom Hearts. The one who's with me is known as Sora," replied Luna.
"I see," the voice said.
"Hey there," Sora said to the console.
"Hello Sora," it replied.
"Sailor Moon is proving much less reliable than I believed her to be," Luna said.
"Now, now. Don't complain. But if it's alright, I believe I can connect you to Ansem the Wise of Radiant Garden," replied the console.
"All right, patch him through," replied Luna.
The image flashed briefly, and Ansem's face appeared on the screen.
"It's been too long, My friend," Ansem said to Luna.
"Greetings, Ansem the Wise. I sensed a mysterious energy lately," replied Luna.
"I see. However, one of my agents picked up reports of an individual whose intellect and cleverness could help her battle the darkness that you and your new allies have fought against these past several days," he said.
He transmitted the data from one of his apprentices, and the image of a young girl who was around Usagi's age, appeared on the screen.
"It's coming from her," said Luna.
"I agree, however, I must ask you to observe her with caution. If she is a threat, then she must be eliminated. But if she is not, then she is an ally who will help Sailor Moon battle the darkness," replied Ansem.
"I understand. Thank you, Sir Ansem," said Luna.
"Sora, I have a message that Master Yen Sid asked me to give to you. 'May your hearts be your guiding key,'" Ansem said to the brunette keyblade wielder.
"Thank you," replied Sora.
The next day at Juban Middle School, all the students were surprised to see the name Ami Mizuno at number 1 of the National Practice Exam Ranking board.
"Well, as expected, Ami Mizuno ranked first at our whole school," said Naru.
"Actually, she's number one in the whole country," said the other red-head.
"The country?" gasped Usagi and Naru.
"And it's rumored that when they measured her IQ it was discovered to be over 9000!" said Umino.
"Whoa 9000!? That's something else!" replied Sora.
"Yeah, then she's like a super genius now," added Usagi.
"But how could this Ami achieve first place on the practice exams?" asked Riku.
"Also, Umino, if you wanna join in on the conversation, just tap someone's shoulder so that they know you wish to speak," said Sora.
Umino nodded apologetically to Sora.
"Oh, there she is now," Usagi said as she glanced at Ami.
The others looked and saw Ami standing near the window, with a sullen look on her face.
"I hear she's been taking classes at the Crystal Seminar," Umino said.
"Oh, isn't that the new cram school they built in Juban?" asked Usagi.
"I suspect it is," said Aqua.
"Usagi's mother told us that it costs a lot of munny to go there," piped in Roxas.
"Ami's mom is a doctor apparently," replied Naru.
"She's rich enough to afford it," said the other red-head.
"Yeah, but she actually has a scholarship there. So she goes in there for free," grinned Umino.
"Just between us, I don't really like her. I think she's all smart, you know what I mean?" said their classmate.
"Yeah, she sure keeps to herself," replied Naru.
But the Sora, Usagi, and their friends weren't so sure about it.
"I'd say it's time we spoke with Miss Mizuno. Maybe get to know a little bit more about her," he said to Usagi.
When Ami heard it, she glanced at the group of 17 people, making them almost panic, except for Sora.
"I wish I were one of the smart kids. They have it so easy. My mom is gonna kill me for my grade," Usagi said, as she, Luna, and the guardians of Kingdom Hearts walked down the street.
She imagined herself being treated like garbage by her own mother, but stopped and thought better of it.
"No big deal. You're fine as you are Usagi. And besides, who cares about going to cram school just so you can be as intelligent as Ami?" said Sora.
"Yeah, maybe you're right," Usagi said as she slouched sulkily along the road.
But as they walked on, they saw Ami in the distance.
"Oh, isn't that her?" asked Usagi.
"Yeah," replied Sora.
Then they saw Luna, stealthily watching her as she jumped from wall to wall, making her look up at her.
"Wait!" called Sora, and ran up to her.
Usagi wasn't sure why Luna was after, but she was afraid that she'd hurt her. But Luna knew that she sensed a strange kind of power within Ami, until she felt her chin being rubbed by Ami's fingers. Luna quickly shook her head, feeling embarrassed.
"You're so soft. If I didn't live in a condo, I'd take you home. I'd love to have a cute cat like you," Ami said to Luna, making Sora and Usagi breathe a sigh of relief.
Then Luna jumped back to Usagi, and crawled up onto her arm.
"Sorry for that, I hope she didn't scare you too much,' the blonde said to the bluette who turned around to face her.
"Is she your cat?" asked Ami.
"Yep," replied Usagi.
"When she dropped down like that, I thought she might be an angel," said Ami.
"Really? You thought Luna looked like an Angel?" asked Sora.
Ami nodded, but she blushed when she saw his face, while Usagi thought it was the nicest thing she had ever heard about Luna.
"You're Ami Mizuno from Class 5 right? I'm Usagi Tsukino from Class 1. Nice to meet you," said the blonde.
"You too," replied Ami.
"And this little furball is named Luna," Usagi said, indicating the cat on her arm.
"Luna, that means moon in some languages, right?" asked the bluette.
"Hmm… Guess most of Usagi's classmates were right. You're pretty intelligent," replied Sora.
Ami blushed at the comment.
"Oh, uh, thank you, uh… Who are you?" she asked hesitantly
"I'm Sora. This is Donald, Goofy, Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Xion, Axel, Namine, Ven, Aqua, Terra, and Mickey," replied Sora.
"Nice to meet you guys," she said shyly.
But Usagi had a goofy smile on her face as she thought about how Ami could help her improve her grades at school.
"You guys, she might be a creature summoned from the darkness, be careful," whispered Luna.
"I don't sense any darkness coming from her," replied Riku.
"Yeah, Riku's right," laughed Usagi.
"What's so funny, Usagi?" asked Ami.
"Nothing, nothing at all," she replied quickly
This made Sora chuckle.
"Hey listen Ami, you wanna play some video games with us?" Usagi asked her.
"Okay, but I've never played one," replied Ami.
"It's no big deal. We can show you how to play the Sailor V game. And if we ever get a game over, I'm sure you can pull it off," said Sora, as Luna managed to struggle out of Usagi's grasp.
"She's fine, Riku did say that there's no darkness in her heart," whispered Usagi.
Once they had reached the arcade, Usagi was playing furiously, when she received a game over for getting worked up.
"Ouch! That's gotta hurt," said Sora.
"Well, the buttons are clearly sticking today, but that's how it's done," replied Usagi.
"Have you played any video games, Sora?" Ami asked him.
"Yep, it was called Verum Rex. The main character in that particular game is called Yozora, who looks an awful lot like Riku, except for one of his eyes being a different color," replied Sora.
"Oh, then this Yozora guy must've had Heterochromia Iridum, a natural condition that's very rare for someone who was born with eyes that are of two different colors," said Ami.
"And he heralded from a world called, Quadratum. A world where light and darkness have no meaning at all," said Riku.
"Well, why don't you give it a try anyway? It's really fun," said Usagi.
"Okay, but it looks hard," replied Ami.
"Well, you know what they say, 'the harder the difficulty, the greater the challenge,'" said Aqua.
"You said it Aqua. It is hard, but Ami'd be lucky enough to 500 points on her first try," Usagi said with a smirk.
Soon Ami sat down, and began playing the game.
"Hey, you're pretty good," said Usagi.
"Really?" asked Ami.
"Yeah," said Sora.
As she played the game, she began receiving more points on the high score, making Usagi, and the others applaud her. They could see Ami's brow furrow with determination, as she continued to play with a carefully planned strategy.
Oh, wow, thought Sora and Usagi.
Other people in the arcade gathered around to see Ami achieving an even higher score.
"Hey, you guys, glad you're here," Motoki said as he approached the crowd.
Oh hi," said Usagi.
"Hey, there," added Sora.
"Wow, incredible," the dirty-blonde said with amazement in his eyes.
"Yep, Ami's a true prodigy," replied Terra.
"Oh boy, so much for my great plan," moaned Usagi, as the game ended.
Oh no, look at the time!" gasped Ami as she stood up.
Sora looked confused.
"Sorry, gotta go, I'll be late for my cram school," she said quickly, and raced off.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't realize that you had to go there today," replied Usagi, handing her a pencil case.
"I go everyday," said Ami.
"Hmm… sounds tough," said Sora.
"Studying is the only thing I'm good at, so I have to do my best. Well, see you later, it was fun," she replied, and she ran off into the distance.
"Bye," said Usagi.
"Yeah, see ya," added Sora.
"It's like she's living in a whole different world," Usagi said to her friends.
"I know that feeling. I've also wanted to see a lot of other worlds for a while. and now, both me and my friends have made our dream a reality," replied Sora.
"Oh, there you are," Motoki said as he walked out.
Usagi and the others turned to face him.
"Listen," he was about to say.
"Sure, anything for you," interrupted Usagi.
"I think that friend of yours might have dropped this on her way out," Motoki said to them, as he presented a floppy disk to them.
"Don't worry, we'll get it to Ami as soon as possible," replied Sora.
"Yeah, we can hold onto this for her," added Usagi, as she gently took the disk from Motoki's hand.
At Crystal Seminar, several students were now on their way to cram school for a study session at the computers they were all assigned to, as a woman looked down at them from her office window.
"Foolish mortals, studying so very hard. You'll give me all of your mental life force," she said ominously, and closed the blinds.
All the students were typing on the keypads, except Ami who was rummaging through her school bag.
"Oh no, I don't have my disk. I wonder if I dropped it. Oh well, it's not like I use it often anyway," she said.
"Miss Mizuno," her teacher said, resting her hand on her shoulder.
"Yes?" she replied.
"Please make sure you're using your crystal disc, it will help you study more effectively. Remember you're on a scholarship, so you must keep your grades up," said the teacher.
"Sure," Ami replied, nodding hesitantly.
"I'm expecting great things from you," the teacher chuckled, and walked away.
Ami sighed heavily.
"When I use that disc, I get the worst headaches. It's easier to just learn on my own," she said, as she closed her school bag and got to work.
Outside of the Cram School building, Usagi, Luna, and their friends stood outside looking at a sign next to the front door, that served as both an entrance and exit.
"Ah, it says that if someone uses this newly developed crystal disc thing, they can become a genius," the blonde said.
"Then it's gotta be the Crystal disc they've been talking about," said Xion.
"You should be careful, you guys," warned Luna.
"I'm just returning her disc. You worry too much," replied Usagi.
"Wait, you think you can become geniuses, you guys?" asked a voice from behind.
"You again! What are you talking about?" demanded Sora, as he stood in front of Usagi and Luna.
"I don't know, but more importantly, was that cat just talking to you?" asked the guy, surprising everyone.
"That's impossible, everybody knows that cats can't talk," replied Usagi as she waved dismissively at him.
"Yeah, try watching a movie with talking animals for a change," added Riku, as he walked off.
"Uh, what he said," Usagi said quickly, as she, Luna, and the rest of their friends followed Riku.
Then they burst into a run, and managed to reach a safe distance away from him.
"Whew, that was close. It'd be bad if he found out," Usagi panted.
But she noticed the disc in her hand.
"I panicked and forgot to give this disc back," she gasped in shock.
"You're right, but maybe we should take a careful look at it," said Sora.
"I agree with Sora, Usagi. Let's go to the school and find a computer first," added Luna.
"Huh, what for?" asked Usagi.
I want to take a look at what's on that disc," replied Luna.
"You mean it might have something suspicious?" Usagi asked again.
"Guess so, Usagi. In the meantime, we'll leave the task up to Luna," said Axel.
"Thank you, Axel," Luna said to him.
When they reached the school, Luna placed the disk into the floppy drive, and began typing on the keyboard with her tiny paws.
"Of course you can use a computer," Usagi laughed sheepishly.
"Nowadays, everyone should be able to use the computer. Even you, guys," replied Luna.
"Gotcha," said Sora.
Then Luna noticed a text that made her glare at it, as it made a ringing sound.
"Aha, I knew it," she said.
"Oh man, what is that awful noise?" asked Usagi, even though Donald had cast a sound dampening spell on himself and Goofy, while the Keybladers were protected by their keyblade magic.
"Give us all your knowledge and mental life force. Offer it up to our great ruler, and in doing so..." Jadeite's voice said from the computer.
"I knew it. It's Jadeite!" Sora said darkly.
"You're right, it's a program used for brainwashing people," agreed Luna.
"No way," gasped Usagi.
"Then that means, Ami's in trouble!" said Riku.
They quickly raced back to Crystal Seminar.
"Riku may be right," said Usagi.
"Well, it's the truth Usagi. Now come on, let's go," replied Luna.
Usagi nodded and pulled out her transformation pen.
"Moon Power! Make me look like a doctor from the University Hospital!" she cried out.
In an instant, Usagi's appearance changed completely, into a doctor's outfit.
"Here we go," Sora said to his friends, and they raced inside the building.
They soon raced up the stairs, and Usagi burst into the door, while Sora and his friends prepared themselves in case of a battle.
"Everyone, step away from your computers, right now!" she said to the students.
But as they all turned to face her, Usagi realized that they were too late.
"What are you doing here? You can't just interrupt anyone while they're studying," Ami said to the disguised Usagi.
"You really are in trouble, aren't you?" asked Usagi.
"Um, I'm what now?" Ami asked with a look of confusion.
"Just listen to me!" protested Usagi.
"Quick, just transform into Sailor Moon! I'll signal your friends to protect you!" said Luna.
"Moon Prism Power; Make Up!" Usagi called to the heavens.
To Ami's shock and surprise, she saw that Usagi had now transformed into Sailor Moon. Then entering the room were Sora, Riku, Kairi, Xion, Roxas, Axel, Namine, Aqua, Terra, Ventus, Mickey, Donald, and Goofy. All thirteen of them stood joined Usagi, they're weapons held at the ready.
"No way!" she said with a surprised look on her face.
But the teacher covered her mouth and held her hostage, making them all gasp in shock.
"I am the monster of Garoben. And soon I will gather all of the mental power generated by this girl's genius mind, and offer it up to the great ruler," she said, transforming into her true form.
"Yes, but as for you, you inferior mortals, there's nothing more that you can do for this foolish child," added another voice, as he emerged from the dark corridor.
Both foes laughed darkly at them, making Usagi glance at Luna, but Sora knew this man all too well.
"Sephiroth? This is impossible!" He gasped in shock.
He had a long flowing main of silver hair, green catlike eyes, and a face that looked strikingly similar to Cloud's. He wore a dark colored coat with silver pauldrons, silver ringed cuffs, and had red-violet lining at the front, while it looked tattered at the bottom, but had two black and red fin-like protrusions on his forearms. Two black belts with a grey strap over his abdomen, a pair of overall-esque straps over his chest, black pants, and black knee-high boots held in place with two belt buckles holding them in place. In his left hand was a menacing looking katana that resembled a Nodachi that had incredible length, but a thin width called Masamune. The most noticeable feature about him was a navy-blue wing that sprouted from his right shoulder blade.
"This means that Riku was right about Ami being in trouble," she said.
"Guess that means Luna was wrong about her," added Roxas.
"I'm sorry guys," Luna said out of embarrassment.
"Let her go, you heartless villains! Gifted minds are here to help a lot of people! My friends and I won't allow them to fall into the depths of darkness!" she said.
"I see, then you must be Sailor Moon. The Pretty Guardian who fights for both love and justice," Sephiroth said to her.
"So what if I am!? I'm still gonna punish you guys, in the name of the moon!" replied Sailor Moon.
But Sephiroth chuckled at her, as Garoben asked her foes a question about Sir Isaac Newton.
"That's simple! Because one of the apples landed on his person when he was studying about gravity," said Riku.
"That's correct, you cursed fool!" Garoben said, making everyone relieved.
"Fine then, on to question two. Explain to me in fifty words exactly what Gravity is," she said to them.
"Aw come on, that's impossible," complained Usagi.
But then the students marched towards her like zombies from a horror film.
"If you can't answer, then I'll make you all just like them," said Garoben.
"You're crazy! Not a chance!" snapped Riku, as he brandished his keyblade.
"Stop him, While this girl offers her genius mental power to me!" she shouted.
Then the Heartless emerged from the students, surrounding Sora, Sailor Moon and everyone else, as she shoved Ami against the computer.
"AMI!" cried Sora, rushing to Riku's side as he cut down the heartless that stood in his way.
But what he didn't know was that Ami was safe from the effects of the energy drain. Garoben realized this, and found out that Ami had purposely left her disc behind, as she spoke of how studying had to be done on one's own terms.
"Curse your impudence!" snarled the demon.
Suddenly, a symbol appeared on her forehead, forcing Garoben to pull her up and look upon it.
"That mark! I get it now, the strange energy Riku and I sensed is because she was actually a Sailor Guardian," said Luna.
She soon summoned a pen, caught it in her mouth, and ran to her side as Garoben shoved her to the ground.
"Fine then, I'll rip your brain right out of your head! Prepare yourself!" she said furiously.
Fearing for her life, Ami watched as Garoben changed her hand into an Axe, and prepared to strike her down, but Sora jumped in front of her and blocked the attack with his keyblade.
"Stand aside, boy!" she shouted.
"Forget it! There's no way you're taking Ami's heart!" retorted Sora.
At the same time, Luna tossed the pen to her. She caught it in her hand as Sora and Garoben fought furiously, and managed to get a safe distance away from them.
"Quickly shout out the words, Mercury Power Make Up!" Luna called to her, just as Sora, forced her back.
Ami nodded and furrowed her brow with determination.
"Mercury Power Make Up!" she called to the heavens.
She soon felt herself become engulfed in a brilliant ball of blue light, and at once, she soon changed into an outfit that looked Sailor Moon's but had a blue color on her skirt, bows, and boots.
"Well, I guess that we were right after all. Ami is the second Guardian, Sailor Mercury," Luna said to the silverette.
"Ami?" gasped Usagi as she held back the students with the eleven guardians of Kingdom Hearts.
Garoben was about to strike Sora down, when Luna told Sailor Mercury to use her Bubble Spray upon her.
"Bubble Spray!" shouted Ami.
Instantly the room was covered in a thick fog.
"What's happening?" Garoben demanded.
"You know what it is! It's a special kind of attack that only Sailor Mercury can use! Her element is water!" answered Sora, as he glared at her.
"No, it can't be! I'm so cold!" the demon said as she shivered in place.
Then Sailor Moon and the remaining warriors of light saw the students collapse onto the floor in front of her.
"Sephiroth, help me!" she called to him.
"Fool, you've underestimated them for the last time," said the One-Winged Angel.
He watched her trying to strike at Sailor Mercury, but suddenly destroyed a monitor that reflected her image.
"You fell for it!" Sailor Mercury called to her.
"Oh no!" gasped Garoben.
"Sailor Moon! Sora! Now's your chance!" she called to her allies.
"Right!" replied Sora and Sailor Moon.
Summoning his Keyblade, Sora watched as Sailor Moon transformed her tiara into the golden energy disc.
"Moon Tiara Action!" she cried, sending the discus right at Garoben.
"And now, Trinity Limit!" shouted Sora, causing a massive explosion of light that engulfed her as the discus struck at her.
Then Garoben soon turned into dust that faded away into nothingness. Then Sailor Moon turned and glared at Sephiroth.
"It's over, Sephiroth!" she said to him.
"Hmph… I'll admit you're very skilled. However, you lack the resolve to strike me down with your pathetic attack, Sailor Moon," replied the One-Winged Angel.
"You rotten-!" shouted Sora.
"Let him go, Sora!" Kairi said.
"I'd listen to the Keybearing Princess if I were you, boy," said Sephiroth.
"It's Sora!" snapped the brunette Keyblade wielder.
"Very well, Sora. We will meet again soon," replied the silver-haired swordsman.
Then he turned around slowly and walked off in the dark corridor. When he was gone, Sora ran to Ami, still dressed in her Sailor Mercury outfit, and hugged her, making the bluette blush at the way Sora was acting around her.
"Uh, why are you hugging me?" she asked him shyly, as he slowly stood back and put his hands behind his head.
"Because, you helped Sailor Moon take out that creature of darkness. And besides, we're friends, right?" Sora said as he backed away.
Sailor Mercury nodded, then she smiled at Sora.
"There, that's it. That's the Ami we know," he said.
At the sametime, Sailor Moon heard Terra telling her that the students under the monster's control would make a full recovery, but have no recollection of being puppets.
"Thank goodness," she said.
Am I?" asked Ami.
"Don't worry, you're all still you," said Riku, as he approached her.
"That's right, you're the second pretty guardian, and your name is Sailor Mercury," added Luna.
"I think it suits her nicely," interjected Sora.
"Yeah, it sure does," said Usagi.
Ami smiled at them all, then she turned and faced Sora.
"Thank you, everyone," she said.
I'm happy that Riku saw you as a human being," said Luna as they stood on the roof.
"Yeah, me too," replied Ami.
"But I never guessed you were one of us. Things will be better with you here. Right guys?" said Usagi.
"Yeah," smiled Sora.
"Thank you," said Ami.
"Especially when it comes to tests," Usagi said with a giddy smile.
"You guys," Ami said to her new friends.
"What's up?" asked Axel.
"I just wanted to say again that it's been a pleasure to meet you, and I look forward to fighting by your side. I'm sure we'll make a good team," answered the bluette, as she extended her hand.
"Thank you," replied Sora as he gave her a friendly grin.
"Oh, wow, she's gonna be even better at this too. What am I gonna do?" muttered Usagi.
