Chapter 5: The Date

Quick responses to reviews:

Lalaandikki: Well, I'm glad you liked it, I just had originally intended for it to be like this story, but ended up making it into what it is now. So I'll be sure not to do that with this one.

Kataang forever: I know, I thought that it might be fun if I switched it up on you guys and made it so that he knew what was going on for once. Glad that you liked it.

UGudBroXD: We'll see…

Wil02: Cool, I'm glad that they made you laugh. I wasn't sure if that was going to come across as funny or not.

About a week later, Katara found herself getting ready for her date. Fortunately for her, she had managed to get off of work early and had plenty of time to make sure that she would be ready to go for her date. She had to admit, she was a bit nervous for the date, as she had never been on one before. But, knowing that the date was going to be with Aang made her excited, and she knew that she had to be ready when he came back from whatever it was that he was doing.

And so she found herself listening to her favorite music as she looked at herself in the mirror, being satisfied with what she had chosen to wear for their date. Although she had seen that he had liked how she looked in a dress, she had noticed that his attention had been on her more when she had worn her normal clothing, and had decided to just dress casual for the evening.

Or, at least as casual as she could get for going on a date, anyway. She had picked out a pair of dark blue jeans and a light blue blouse that showed off her midriff, making her smile as she liked how she looked with it. She certainly hoped that Aang would like it.

Although she normally would be disgusted with herself for caring about what anyone else thought of her, she just couldn't help it. She wanted to impress Aang on their first date, especially if it meant that they would have more in the future.

Her pride had been a little damaged since she had met him, but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Too much pride didn't help anyone, after all, and meeting him had certainly helped her calm down a bit. Though it had also made her more nervous than usual, which made her not very happy to say the least, but she figured that it would go away the more she got used to being with him. That is, if their date went well, anyway.

She really hoped that nothing would go wrong with their date. For more than one reason, it seemed. Not only did she really want things to go well between her and Aang, but if they both had a bad time, things would be awkward between them while they lived with each other, meaning that they would have to stay like that, or she would have to find a new place to live. And considering that she had just moved in a couple weeks ago and really liked the place, she really didn't want to have to do that.

Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a familiar meow, making her smile as she looked down to see Momo walk up to her as he nuzzled against her leg, making her laugh as she crouched down to pet him.

"Hey, Momo," she greeted him with a smile as she pet his head, making him purr as he rubbed up against it. "Do you want a treat?" Another meow was his only answer, making her laugh as she patted her legs and started walking out of the room, her furry friend right behind her as she led the way to the kitchen.

Upon reaching the kitchen, she opened up the cabinet where she knew Aang kept their treats and took a look at what lay in it. The cabinet held equal parts cat treats and dog treats, and she knew that if she didn't look carefully at the packaging, she would accidentally give a dog treat to Momo.

Normally, it would be pretty obvious what was a dog treat and what was a cat treat, but companies had started making them quite alike lately, with a few exceptions. Knowing this, she dug around through and found what she was looking for.

Pulling out a bag of what appeared to be fish-shaped treats, she watched as Momo immediately sat down, his tail swishing from side to side as he waited patiently for her to give him one. She laughed as she threw him the treat, watching as he reached up and caught it with his paws, making her amazed as she saw that he could do that before he started devouring it.

Appa saw this whole scene, and not wanting to be left out, made his way over to the kitchen and sat down next to Momo, giving her the best puppy dog eyes he could as he wagged his tail. "Oh, I didn't forget about you, Appa," she promised him with a smile as she set the bag of cat treats down on the counter and went back to look in the cabinet.

After a few more moments of searching, she became satisfied as she found a bag of his favorite treats. Despite clearly not being real bacon, he appeared to favor these the most, even if she didn't think that she would like these if she was a dog. Then again, dogs would eat their own poop, so she felt it safe to say that their taste buds weren't exactly refined.

Grabbing one out of the bag, she decided to test Appa's abilities as she said. "Appa, lay down." He did as he was told immediately, making her smile as she tossed him the treat, being amazed as he snapped it up and wolfed it down faster than her eyes could track.

Though, as she watched him do this, she couldn't help but wonder if Momo didn't know any tricks that he could do for a treat. Deciding to test this theory, she grabbed the bag of cat treats and brought one out, immediately catching both of the animals interest, but she made it clear that this was for Momo.

"Momo, lay down," she commanded, watching in amazement as the cat actually did as she told him to. This was surprising, as from what she had heard, cats couldn't quite be trained as dogs could. But, seeing that he had indeed laid down, she smiled and gave him the treat, finding herself excited to see what else they could do.

Quickly grabbing another dog treat, she then turned to Appa while Momo was busy with his own. "Appa, roll over," she commanded, smiling as she saw him roll over a few times before he went back to a sitting position. Being satisfied with this, she threw him the treat, watching him snatch it out of the air before he started chomping down on it.

With that taken care of, she turned to the cat and got out another treat, ready to see if he would do the same. "Momo, roll over," she commanded, watching in amazement as he did the exact same thing as his furry buddy.

"Good job, Momo!" Katara practically gushed as she saw that he actually did it, giving him the treat which he took and immediately started to devour, making her smile as she then turned to Appa who was panting happily and waving his tail.

She had already given them both more treats than they could need, but she was curious to see if they couldn't do some more advanced tricks. Deciding that she really wanted to find out what they were truly capable of, she got out one more treat for each of them and decided to start with Appa as she put the bags back into the cabinet.

Taking the treat in her hand, she looked at the dog and tried to think of something that would be out of the regular range of tricks, and, knowing that this might not end well, decided to go with what she had in mind. "Appa, do a backflip."

To her great surprise, Appa barked and immediately whipped his head backwards, his whole body following it as he landed on his feet, making Katara look at him with wide eyes.

"Oh my…" she started, blinking rapidly in surprise as she couldn't decide whether he had actually done it or not, but knowing that she wasn't dreaming, she could only assume that it had actually happened. Shaking off her surprise, she smiled at Appa and handed him the treat as she pet him on the head. "Good boy, Appa!"

His tail wagged happily as he devoured his treat, making her smile before her attention turned to Momo, who she also couldn't help but wonder…

Taking the treat off of the counter, she commanded the small cat. "Momo, do a backflip," being unsure of whether Momo would actually do it or not. She became surprised, however, when he actually did it, his whole body going backwards in the air for a few moments until he landed on his paws.

Katara couldn't help but blink in surprise as she looked at the both of them, seeing that she really hadn't imagined them doing an actual backflip. "How…" she tried to think, but found herself dumbfounded that both of them had really done a backflip. She had seen plenty of animal tricks before, but seeing the two animals actually do a backflip? This was almost unheard of.

But, knowing that it wouldn't do her any good to just keep standing there and wondering how Aang had trained them to do that, she gave Momo his treat and pet them both. "Good job, guys," she told them as she crouched down, laughing as they both started licking her.

After a little while of petting them, she looked at the time and saw that Aang should be back soon, and decided that she would go check her appearance one more time in the mirror. Of course, when she did, she looked exactly the same, but she couldn't help it. She wanted to look good on their first date, even if that meant she had to be a little paranoid to do so.

Finally feeling satisfied with her appearance, she made sure to put some of her favorite perfume on and grabbed her wallet, knowing that she wanted to get some snacks at the movies without Aang having to pay for them. Despite the fact that she got the sense that he was chivalrous, she still wanted to be prepared just in case. That, and she didn't want him spending money on her if she could help it.

Now feeling ready, she made her way out to the living room and decided to watch some tv, hoping that it would help her pass the time until Aang got back to pick her up. Fortunately for her, it seemed to work, as time flew by as she watched one of her favorite shows until she heard the door start to unlock, making her eyes widen as she knew it was go time.

Though, of course she knew that she couldn't keep panicking like this. Instead, she decided to just play it cool, even if she couldn't ignore the butterflies in her stomach as she watched him walk into the room.

"Hey, Katara," Aang greeted her with a smile, one of his arms being held behind his back as the other was resting at his side. Katara smiled back at him, but she couldn't help but find herself a little distracted with what he was wearing.

He had worn long sleeve button up shirts before, but this one was different. This one was all gray, matching his eyes perfectly. And, much to her liking, he had left the top button open, giving her a hint of the strong pecs that lay underneath his shirt. And the shirt seemed to go rather well with the dark blue jeans he had chosen to wear with it.

"Wow," he breathed as he drank in her beauty, making Katara blush but smile as she noticed this. "You look great, Kat."

Unable to keep her smile from growing, she stood up and walked over to him. "Thanks. You look pretty good yourself," she added as she looked him over, making him laugh as he shrugged.

Before she could say anything else, he seemed to remember that he was holding something behind his back and finally brought it out in front of him, making her gasp in surprise as she looked upon the beautiful flowers in his hand.

"You got me flowers?" she couldn't help but ask in surprise.

"Yeah, I did," he told her with a smile as he handed them to her. "You seem like the kind of girl who might like flowers, so I went to the store and got some. These ones are called Panda Lilies."

"They're beautiful," Katara smiled as she sniffed them, finding that the fragrance they gave off was just as beautiful as they looked. "Thank you, Aang."

Leaning up on her toes, she kissed him on the cheek, making him blush but smile as he did his best not to feel the place where she had kissed him as she started walking back to her room. "Hold on just a second. I'm going to put these in a vase and we can get going."

"Sounds good!" he called back to her as she disappeared out of sigh, smiling as he felt proud of himself for deciding to get flowers for her. While he waited, he leaned down and pet Appa and Momo as they came walking up to him, knowing that it might be a minute or two before she came back out.

Katara smiled as she walked into her room. She had certainly known that Aang was a great guy before, but with him getting her flowers for their first date? Needless to say, she was even more impressed than she had been before.

Looking around her room, she smiled as she found an empty vase and filled it with water from her bathroom sink, putting the beautiful and unique flowers in them as she did so and put it on her dresser, knowing that she wanted them to be one of the first things she saw in the morning when she woke up.

Satisfied with the arrangement, she admired them one more time before walking back out of the room, smiling as she saw that Aang had been petting his furry friends while he had waited for her.

"Are you ready to go?" she asked as she walked back into the room.

"Of course," he assured her with a smile as he offered his arm to her. "Shall we?"

Unable to keep the smile off her face, she took his arm and allowed him to lead the way to his car. Luckily for them, the movie theater wasn't very far away, meaning that they would have plenty of time to purchase their tickets and snacks before the movie they were going to see started.

Katara found herself feeling rather excited as they walked into the movie theater. Not only because she was on a date with the most amazing person she had ever met, but also because she had wanted to see this movie for a while now, and was thankful that she was finally going to be able to see it.

Though she hoped that Aang didn't mind her movie choice. It certainly wasn't exactly a movie that most guys would like, but she supposed that Aang wasn't like most guys, which was just one of the many reasons that she liked him. Still, she didn't expect him to be crazy about it, and just hoped that they would have a good time together whether he enjoyed the movie or not.

Feeling satisfied with this, she watched him get the tickets for them and followed him as he made his way to the snack area, getting herself ready to pay for her own snacks. But, to both her surprise and not so much surprise, he forced her to put her wallet down and gave her a smile.

"Snacks are on me, Kat. Don't worry about it."

"But you already paid for the tickets," Katara argued, not liking the thought of him paying for everything. "The least I can do is buy my own snacks."

"Kat, I own my own rental building," he reminded her with a chuckle. "I think I can afford to buy snacks for us." She still didn't look very satisfied with this, and he gently took her chin in his hand and forced her to look at him. "Trust me, I want to pay for them. So can I? Please?"

Smiling as she saw that he was serious, she let out a little sigh and nodded, making him smile at her. "Thank you," he told her gratefully before putting in his order as well and paying for it.

And as he paid for it, Katara couldn't help but feel both guilty and delighted from his decision. Guilty because she felt bad for him spending money on her, especially after he had already gotten the tickets, but delighted to see that he truly was a gentleman. Though she could have told that he was one by the way he held the door open for her whenever there was one.

Shaking these thoughts off, she grabbed her drink and the bag of popcorn which Aang had made sure had plenty of butter and salt on it, which was just how she had liked it. Though she couldn't help but wonder how he had known this, but then remembered that it had come up during their 'get to know you' game.

With their snacks purchased, the two made their way over to the theater room they were looking for, being surprised to find that it wasn't as busy as they thought it would be. Though, now that she thought about it, this movie had been out for a month or two, so it shouldn't have been that surprising.

This worked for them, as it meant that they would be able to pick practically any seat they wanted. "Come on, I know where we can get the best seats," Aang whispered to her as he took her free hand and led the way, making her blush as she felt his warm hand slip into hers as he led the way up the stairs. A few moments later, the two found themselves directly in the middle of the theater, their view of the screen being nearly perfect as they sat down.

"Wow," she laughed as she set her drink in her drink holder. "You sure know how to pick a spot."

"Well, I used to work in a movie theater when I was a teenager," he explained with a chuckle as he set his stuff down as well. "When no one was there, I spent hours trying to find the perfect spot to see it, and it was right here."

"You used to work at a movie theater?" Katara couldn't help but ask with clear amusement, making him laugh as he nodded. "Well, I'm sure that you were the cutest employee ever."

Aang blushed a little at her flirty compliment, rubbing his neck a little as Katara found herself enjoying seeing him get shy like that. "Thanks. I'm sure if you worked at a movie theater, you'd be the most beautiful employee ever," he complimented her back, making her blush and smile at his sincere compliment.

"Thanks."

"So, what's this movie about?" Aang asked curiously as he looked at the screen, which was currently only playing ads. They had gotten there early, and knew that the movie wouldn't be starting for at least a few minutes.

"It's a story about this princess who is forced into an arranged marriage," she began explaining, taking his interest immediately as he heard this. "She doesn't like this, though, and decides to run away. The story is basically about her journey and trying to avoid the men who were sent after her."

Finding himself liking the sound of this movie, he smiled at her. "Wow, that sounds like it'll be a good movie," he told her, making her smile.

"You really think so?" she asked hopefully.

"Of course," he assured her as he looked back to the screen, letting out an amused chuckle as he saw a dancing hot dog on the screen. "I'm not going to pretend like I'm some 'macho man'. I like a good story, and I don't care if it's a little girly or not. Besides, I hate stereotypes."

Katara couldn't help but smile widely from hearing this. Not only because he was being really cool about what she wanted to watch, but because he too hated stereotypes. Her brother was all for them, which had annoyed her to no end whenever he would try to tell her that she couldn't do anything better than a man fighting-wise, but she had often proved him wrong when she had frozen him to the wall. Though, even if she didn't use her bending in a fight, she felt confident that she could take her brother down anyway.

"Anyone ever tell you that you're something else, Aang?" she finally asked with a laugh, making him laugh as well as he nodded.

"Every once in a while," he grinned.

"Well, you're a good something else," she informed him with a kiss on the cheek, making him smile as felt the warm trace of where her lips had been just moments ago on his face. "I don't know many guys who would actually be willing to see a movie like this."

"I'm definitely not like a lot of guys," he agreed, making her laugh and hit him playfully as they both looked back to the screen. But, as they did so, Katara noticed two new people come walking into the theater, and much to her disliking, these two new people were people she recognized.

Doing her best to not draw attention to herself, she became quite annoyed as the two people looked up at her and seemed to recognize her.

"Kat!" Yue exclaimed excitedly as she walked quickly up the stairs and sat down next to her friend, making Katara sigh as she knew that her efforts had been wasted. "Why didn't you tell me you were going to see this? We could have gone together!"

"Hey!" Sokka objected as he took a seat next to her, his arms full of snacks and drinks as he did so.

"Sorry, Sokka, but you won't enjoy this movie as much as Katara will," she smiled apologetically before turning back to her friend, waiting for her to answer.

Being a little bit in disbelief that her friend didn't seem to figure out what was going on, she leaned out of the way and gave them a full view of the man sitting next to her, making their eyes widen as Katara whispered to her. "I'm on a date."

"Oh," Yue said in understanding, blushing in embarrassment as she finally realized why Katara didn't seem very happy to see them. "That's no problem, we'll just go sit somewhere else."

"Nah, I think I'm good here," Sokka disagreed as he set his cups down in the drink holders on each of his sides, making Yue roll her eyes as she set her water bottle on the ground.

"Sokka," Katara muttered dangerously to him, but he didn't back down. This was his sister's first date, and adult or not, it was his brotherly duty to make sure that nothing happened. Or so he thought, anyway.

Instead, he kicked his feet up on the chair in front of him, displaying his sandaled feet for all to see. "Don't worry, sis. You'll hardly even know we're here."

Unable to hide her irritation, she huffed a little and decided to just ignore him, knowing that her brother could be just as stubborn as her when he wanted to be. And although she wasn't happy about this happening, she couldn't allow it to get to her. She wanted this date to go well, and she wasn't about to let it be ruined by her bad mood because of a bad coincidence.

Shaking off her irritation, she turned back to Aang with an apologetic smile, hoping that she hadn't scared him off from what had just happened. "Sorry about that, I just-"

"Don't worry, Kat," he laughed as he put a calming hand on hers, making her blush again as she enjoyed the feeling of their skin touching. "I know how siblings are. You remember my friend who I said is like a brother to me?" She only nodded in response. "Thanks to him, I kind of know what it's like to have a sibling, so I understand."

Feeling happy knowing that he didn't blame her for getting irritated with her brother, she smiled gratefully at him and gasped as she saw that the lights in the theater had dimmed down. "The movie's starting."

The four all quieted down as the film began playing, all of them getting into their snacks as they did so. Though, as Aang and Katara both took turns getting popcorn from the large bucket between them, they both accidentally felt their hands touch as they reached into the bucket at the same time, both of them blushing at the old cliche that they knew was silly but found themselves blushing anyway.

Sokka, having noticed this, just rolled his eyes and sighed. If they kept this up, it was going to be a long night, it seemed. Deciding to ignore them for the moment, he looked back at the screen and actually tried to focus on the movie, but soon found that Yue had been right. The movie was not only boring to him, but his 'macho man' pride felt damaged from being forced to watch a movie like this, and he decided that he would just ignore it all together.

Unfortunately for him, he was bored now, as he had nothing else to do except play on his phone. But, knowing that playing on it would put him in the doghouse, he wisely decided against it. There was one other thing that he could do, but considering that Yue had really wanted to see this movie for a while, he didn't think that she would agree to make out with him during the entire movie.

Sighing in boredom, he looked back over to the two people on a date and saw that they had the one snack he had not gotten, making his stomach rumble as he found himself craving some good popcorn. "Psst!" he tried to whisper to her over Yue, who appeared to be too focused on the movie to notice at the moment. "Katara!"

Katara tried her best to ignore him, and for a few moments was succeeding, but he kept trying to get her attention, and her patience finally gave out. "What, Sokka?!" she growled back at him.

Having fully expected this, he asked simply. "Can I have some popcorn?"

The young waterbender couldn't help but feel her eye twitch at this, clearly not being very amused that he had bothered her for some popcorn. "Sokka, you got everything else but popcorn!" she hissed back at him. "Go get some for yourself!"

"I can't!" he argued back, a frown coming over his face. "I spent the last of my money to come here!"

"Then ask Yue for some money!" Katara rolled her eyes at him.

"Do you see her right now?" Sokka whispered back to her as he put a hand in front of Yue's face and waved it a couple of times, which didn't make his fiance even blink as he did so. "She can't hear me. Stop being a jerk and share!"

Despite the great irritation she felt from her brother's idiocies, she couldn't hold back a smug smirk as she thought of something that wouldn't make him very happy. "I didn't buy the popcorn, Sokka. So you're going to have to ask Aang."

Sokka grimaced a little at this, but knowing that he really wanted some popcorn, he decided to try his luck. "Psst! Aang!" Aang turned his head at the mention of his name. "Can I have some popcorn?"

"Sure," Aang answered immediately, grabbing the bucket with his hand as he reached it out to Sokka who smiled as he took a fistfull of it.

"Thanks," he told Aang with a smile before frowning at his sister. "See? Was that so hard?"

Feeling her eye twitching again, she grabbed her drink and the popcorn bucket and stood up, pulling the surprised airbender up with her as she started making her way to the very back of the theater, making Sokka roll his eyes as he watched them go.

Before very long, Katara found them seats that she liked and sat down, watching as Aang sat down next to her. "Sorry about that," she apologized with a sheepish smile. "I just-"

"Really, Katara, it's okay," he assured her, making her smile as she saw that he wasn't going to get upset because of her sibling rivalry. "I understand. Besides, I'd put up with him all night if it meant that I could be here with you."

Feeling her heart beating quickly at his sincere statement, she just couldn't help herself as she leaned into him and kissed him, taking him by surprise as she did so, but he couldn't deny that he hadn't been wanting to kiss her. Smiling into the kiss, he put a hand on the back of her head and pulled her more insistently into the kiss, making her smile as well as she saw that he was as into it as she was.

As the two kissed, they lost track of everything around them. The sound of the movie playing, the bright lights flashing with each changing scene. They didn't even notice the fact that Sokka was glaring at them from below, and although he very much wanted to stop them, he knew that he couldn't. Katara was an adult, and as much as it disgusted him, she could kiss whoever she wanted.

The only problem with them kissing, however, was that neither of them wanted to stop. This was their first kiss, and although they had both heard that kissing was great, it was better than they could have imagined. Though they supposed it could just be that it was the fact that they were kissing each other.

And as they continued their make out session, they didn't notice as time went by rather quickly, so much so that they didn't stop until the theater lights came on, confusing them both as they reluctantly split apart and looked around to see what was going on. Judging by the credits rolling on the screen and the fact that what few people had been there were leaving, they could only deduce that the movie had ended.

This was surprising to them both, as they had just thought that they had only been kissing for a few minutes, but it had turned out to be over an hour. How this was possible, they didn't know, but there was no other explanation for it.

"Finally! You guys stopped!" Sokka's familiar groan of annoyance came from their side, making them both blink in surprise as they looked to see him and Yue came walking up to them. Their kiss had made them forget all about them.

Rolling her eyes at her brother, she couldn't keep a blush off of her face, feeling a little dazed and breathless from their rather long make out session. "Shush up, Sokka. I had to deal with you making out with Yue, and she's my best friend!"

"Oh yeah? Well… Well…" he tried to think of something, but he knew that he couldn't call Aang his best friend. He hardly knew the guy. "Well, it's still disgusting!"

Yue, having seen all of this and knowing that Sokka was being ridiculous, gave him a glare that made him shut up instantly, making Katara smile appreciatively at her friend. Even though Yue was in love with her brother, she still stood up for her when he was being stupid. She knew that she would always be able to count on her when she needed it.

"So, what did you think of the movie?" Yue asked as she tried to change the subject, making Aang and Katara laugh a bit nervously.

"Um… we didn't really get to see much of the movie," she admitted with a blush, making Yue's eyes widen.

"Really?" Yue's voice lowered to a whisper, despite the fact that Aang could still hear her quite clearly. "You go, girl," she added with a smirk, making Katara blush go deeper as she tried to avoid looking at Aang.

Sokka rolled his eyes and groaned. "Okay, I've had enough of this. Come on, Yue," he said as he grabbed her hand and started pulling her away from them.

"Bye, Kat! Bye, Aang!" she called to them as he did so, soon disappearing from sight as they could only watch them go.

"Wow," Aang couldn't help but laugh as he turned back to look at Katara. "You've got some interesting friends."

"Yeah, I know," she sighed in embarrassment as she looked down at her feet. "Sorry about them. They mean well, they just-"

This time, he interrupted her by kissing her again, making her smile against his lips as she kissed him back for a few moments before he pulled her away. "It's okay, Kat. Really," he told her with a smile, making her smile back at him as they stared into each other's eyes. After a little while of doing this, Aang seemed to realize what he was doing and cleared his throat as he looked down between them, laughing as he saw the bucket that was between them. "I guess we didn't eat a lot of our popcorn."

"Yeah, I guess we didn't," Katara agreed with a chuckle, seeing that he was right. Despite the handful that Sokka had taken from it.

"Eh, maybe next time," he shrugged as he stood up and offered a hand to her, making her smile as she took it and allowed him to pull her up next to him.

"Next time?" she asked curiously, making him smile as he shrugged.

"Well, between your brother and our… distraction," he began, making her giggle at the mention of how they had spent most of the movie. "We didn't really get to see the movie. Maybe for our next date we can actually see it without anyone interrupting us." His face took on a nervous look. "That is, if you want to go on another date."

"I'd love to," she assured him with a smile, making him let out a noticeable sigh of relief, which in turn made her giggle again.

"Great!" he couldn't keep the wide smile off his face. "So maybe we can see it again and not allow ourselves to be… distracted again."

Katara grinned and, although she still wanted to see the movie, found that she wouldn't change what had happened between them for anything. "We'll see," she teased with a playful look in her eyes, making him laugh as they started walking back out to the movie theater.

And as they walked back to the car, Katara took his hand in hers, making him smile as he looked at her. Despite the unexpected circumstances that had happened, they both felt it safe to say that they had a great first date.
