Just because Gibbs had left the squad room, didn't mean the work stopped for Tony, Ziva and Tim. Almost immediately after Gibbs left in the elevator, Vance entered the squad room, he didn't share the full DNA results instead, telling the team that the DNA results had confirmed Jenny was Eliana's mother.

"We have two main concerns, where are Ofe, Gurion and Bunim? And why did they have Eliana?."

"Previous victims of the three supposedly rouge Mossad officers are those who have or are suspected to have Russian and/or middle eastern intel." Informed Ziva.

"It is therefore possible, that Eliana Shepard has acquired some intel whilst she has been missing." Finished Tony.

"I've updated the BOLO's and FBI and Interpol are currently sending over their intel and evidence results," said McGee.

"DiNozzo, I want you to dig up Eliana's kidnap case and try to solve it. David, I want you to work backwards from when Eliana was found to see where she was before Ofe, Gurion and Bunim got to her. The FBI is going to send all the evidence collected from Eliana later today."

The director then headed to Abby's lab to warn her about a possible influx of evidence before going back to his office where he attempted to ring Gibbs again. Vance didn't know Jenny or Ziva well enough to know how to tell Ziva about the DNA test.

Vance did, however, did know that Eli David most likely had a part in this case. His long-lost daughter being found having been tortured by former Mossad agents just screamed "off the books" Mossad play. This was a political nightmare. Knowing that the case wasn't going to get anywhere that night he headed home, telling the remaining MCRT that they could head home and come back with a clear head in the morning.

It was 2200 when Gibbs received a phone call from the hospital asking him to come in. He drove like a mad man getting to the hospital, the journey should have taken 30 minutes but with Gibbs driving, he was at the hospital in 15 minutes.

He ran up to the paediatric ward and into Eliana's room.

"What's going on?" He asked.

"After you left this afternoon, Eliana became upset and had a stress-triggered tonic-clonic seizure, she had a similar outburst as she did earlier when she came round. Since then no one has been able to get close enough to console her, we don't want to risk injury to ourselves or Eliana, shes had no medication in hours, we need to give her some insulin and administer her evening feed. We need your permission to put her back into an induced coma, we will have to restrain her to do it."

"No, I don't give my permission. Let me try to calm her down first." Shouted Gibbs.

"Hey, Lia, it's me, Gibbs, again. Is it okay if I come a bit closer?" He received no response so continued forwards. Lia's eyes were fixed in the corner of the room towards the bear he had left for her earlier. He moved to pick it up and reached to give it to her.

Eliana snatched it away and her gaze moved towards Gibbs' feet and she curled the corners of her mouth slightly before quickly looking away and bringing the bear to her chest. Gibbs sat down next to Lia's bed and reached for her hand but not before warning her.

Eliana did not resist and settled back into the hospital bed lying still with her eyes closed. Gibbs knew that Eliana needed her medication and evening feed so after a few minutes had passed and Eliana seemed to have settled he headed to the nurse's station.

"Lia's probably ready for her feed and medication now, she is still sniffling a bit but she seems to have calmed down." Explained Gibbs.

Dani, came in to give Eliana her feed and medication. Eliana was currently being fed via an NG tube, she was severely underweight, due to being starved. She also struggled to keep her food down so by having it given to her gradually over three hours she was less likely to throw up, it also made her blood sugar levels easier to control. Dani put the medication into Lia's IV and nodded towards the door looking at Gibbs.

"The doctors are concerned about Eliana's lack of progress. They want to start getting Eliana out of bed but if anyone touches her she retaliates and has seizures. Because of this, they would like to have Eliana start seeing a psychologist and psychiatrist but she can't express herself and she doesn't appear to understand anything we say. We really need to try to work out a way to communicate whether that be in a different language or by writing things down." Explained Dani.

"My team back at NCIS is trying to solve the case. I can ask Agent David to come in and have a chat she speaks several languages, that might help with some understanding. Lia still couldn't form any words when she was taken and at times she would be unable to make noises too, Jenny always read Eliana's body language to communicate." Gibbs had tried to come up with a solution but he really felt out of his depth in this situation.

Gibbs was at a loss of what to do, he had effectively gained a daughter. Unfortunately, it wasn't a healthy daughter either, Eliana was sick, she was traumatized even and there was nothing he could do to help. He decided he would call Jack in the morning, recently the woman had become a semi-permanent feature in his basement, he still wasn't sure what to think of it. Even ducky had asked if there was something "special" between them.

Gibbs had only been outside of Lia's room for 10 minutes but when he returned she was crying once again. He walked in sat next to the bed and held her hand, for some reason it helped her calm down, only now Eliana was holding onto Gibbs's hand tightly, almost as though she was scared. He could sense that something was wrong with Lia tonight so he decided to stay the night on a cot next to her bed.

He sat up holding her hand until her breathing rate changed and she was fast asleep. He then settled down into the camp style bed and lay staring at the ceiling, sleep wouldn't be coming easy. At 0100 hours he noticed a change in Eliana's breathing and sat up to look at her, the girl's face was strained as though she was in pain and suddenly her head began tossing from side to side, her shoulders writhing.

Gibbs, began to stroke Eliana's hand but it had no effect, he began to shake her in an attempt to wake her up but her monitor began to beep quickly and a torrent of nurses flooded in.

"What's going on?" Asked Gloria, one of the night nurses.

"I think she's having a nightmare, I can't get her to wake up!" replied Gibbs.

"This is her worst one yet, so let's stop the diazepam on the drip, I want to wake her up, we don't want the poor girl reliving her trauma again. She is probably just in a really deep sleep which is why we are having trouble waking her." Said Dr Fischer in a calm manner.

Gibbs hated to see little Lia so upset, but he kept stroking her forehead, saying soothing words and holding her hand until finally, her eyes shot open. Lia looked around the room, panic-stricken at the doctor, two nurses and Gibbs all in her room.

"Lia you had a nightmare, try to go back to sleep for me." Soothed Gibbs.

Gibbs continued stroking her forehead and holding her hand until her breathing once again evened out and she finally fell back to sleep. Gibbs lay back down on the cot, repeating the routine carried out earlier, only this time Gibbs promised not to go back to sleep and catch any nightmares before they got as bad as the previous one.
