Unwanted advances
Sam asked for a oneshot of Emma saying "You're my mother, I'm not sure I'm allowed to say that."
Thanks Sam, I'm glad I'm back to writing too! However, I rely on requests to keep it going, so come on everyone, let's get requesting!
"As long as you're sure you're both ok…" Snow said down the phone to her husband. Charming had come down with the same stomach bug that had been going around Neal's preschool. So he was at home watching over their son (who was also sick) whilst nursing himself too. Meanwhile, Snow decided to help Emma out at the station for the day since school was on spring break. On today's agenda: interrogating a lowlife who had been caught terrorising young women outside the Rabbit Hole. Unfortunately, formal proceedings still applied to lowlifes and he was entitled to a formal interview.
"Right, let's get this over with." Emma sighed, sitting down on one side of the table with her coffee in her hand. Her mom sat beside her, thoroughly unimpressed. "Name?" Emma asked him. The man sniggered. "I don't see what's so funny." Emma said coolly.
"You already know my name, sweet cheeks. Let's skip the formalities." He replied. Emma rolled her eyes.
"My name is Officer Swan and nothing else." Emma reprimanded him. "It's the rules. State your name." Emma ordered him. The man sniggered again.
"Alright then. Danny Holliday. Happy?" He asked. Emma and Snow both ignored him.
"Alright Danny. Care to explain what you were doing hanging around outside the Rabbit Hole every night for a week? Especially considering you're barred?" Emma questioned him. Danny shrugged.
"I was lonely. The girls that come out of there are…more open to company." He commented in a sleazy manner that made both Emma and Snow's blood boil. "I'm barred from inside, there's nothing they can do about me standing outside." He added. He laughed again. "If you were so worried about me, Officer Swan, how come you sent your big bad daddy after me instead of coming to take me in yourself? Those handcuffs of yours might have been awful useful…"
"Shut up." Snow snarled. "Just answer the questions you're asked." Danny grinned, glad he'd touched a nerve.
"I was answering the question." He responded calmly. "What? Worried we might have hit it off? Am I not exactly son-in-law material for you, Queen Snow?"
"No, you're not." Snow answered him. "Far from it. Emma deserves far better than the likes of a creep like you. Unfortunately, it's not exactly in her remit as a town sheriff, but I'm pretty sure Emma is more likely to castrate you rather than end up with you. Isn't that right, Emma?" Snow asked. Emma blinked, a bit taken aback. Her mom wasn't exactly timid, but she rarely saw her so fired up. Even Danny seemed to shrink back a bit.
"Ugh…you're my mother. I'm not sure I'm allowed to say that." Emma said quietly so Danny wouldn't hear. She wasn't sure discussing this with her mother was a good idea. It just seemed to be making her angry.
"What do you say, princess? Want my number when you release me since you've not got enough proof to hold me?" Danny teased them both. Snow turned and fixed him with a painfully hard stare.
"She might not be willing to make threats because it puts her job on the line, but I don't actually work here. It's bad enough you've been making unwanted advances towards the young women of Storybrooke in general, don't try it on with my daughter or I'll be the one doing the castrating. Oh and trust me, I know exactly how to make it very slow, and very painful." Snow threatened him. Danny gulped, realising he'd bitten off more than he could chew. After that, he seemed to be on his best behaviour, vaguely cooperating. Emma couldn't help but smirk herself. Maybe she should bring her mother into cases like this more often, since she didn't have a job on the line.
