Maleficent's boy- part 3

Sere2897 asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch2966 "Maleficent's boy- part 2". Please do not apologise when English is neither your first or second language. I think being able to write in another language where someone can understand you is super impressive!

Maleficent snarled. How had that impudent little princess found them?

"Talk about monster-in-law." Snow sighed, not moving her aim away from Maleficent. "I would say it's nice to see you again, Maleficent…but it really isn't." Snow added coolly. Maleficent formed a fireball in her hand, ready to throw it at Snow.

"I should have killed you when I had the chance." Maleficent snarled. "Not that you're truly a challenge, you can't even aim properly."

"That was a warning shot." Snow warned her. "Next time, I won't miss. Now, move away from my family."

"Your family? He's my son!" Maleficent retaliated. She threw her fireball, but Snow ducked out of the way. It wasn't the first time her mother-in-law had thrown one of those at her.

"Was your son, mother." Charming spoke up, taking Neal back from Henry. "You ruined any chance of us remaining a family when you started attacking Snow."

"She was never good enough for you. She made you give up your heritage-"

"Nobody made me do anything, mother. I chose to give up my dragon side so I could live a normal life with the woman I love. You chose to become bitter over that. You gave up the chance to remain a part of our family."

"She's poisoning your head again!" Maleficent roared. She turned her full attention back to Snow. "I'm not giving them up again. This time, I get rid of you once and for all. Go ahead, see what damage your puny arrows do to me." Maleficent challenged her. Snow sighed. She had hoped it wouldn't come to this. She launched another arrow that landed in Maleficent's shoulder. Maleficent smirked before pulling it out. She might look like a human just now, but her dragon hide could take many forms. She then went to transform herself into full on dragon form, but she suddenly felt woozy. She felt for the wall of the cave before sinking to her knees, her vision going blurry.

"Once again, mother, it appears like you've underestimated my life." Charming said as Snow came down to her family. She nodded.

"The arrows were laced with a dragon sedative. It'll do no lasting damage, but you'll feel quite sick for a few hours. Just long enough for me to get my family home and protect it from you kidnapping them ever again." Snow explained. She pulled Charming towards her, kissing him passionately. She then kissed the heads of her children and grandson, frowning at the scorch marks on Emma's hands. She'd obviously had her own run-ins with her grandmother. She looked at Charming, who confirmed with one of their silent conversations. Snow lost some of the sympathy she had for her mother-in-law. She looked down at her.

"Maleficent, things could have been so different, if only you had given up your bitterness. You've officially had your last chance now. Nobody lays their hands on my husband, or my child. I never want to hear from you ever again. Otherwise it won't just be a sedative on the end of my arrow." Snow warned her, walking away with her arm around Henry. Charming spared his mother one last look goodbye before he and Emma both left alongside the rest of their family.

Snow and Charming dropped Henry off with Regina, who had only let Snow go alone to retrieve the family on the condition she saw Henry straight away afterwards. They got Neal home and fed him, resulting in a post-feed nap. That gave the remaining three adults a chance to talk about what just happened.

"So…I'm half dragon?" Emma asked, not quite believing what she was saying. Her parents nodded.

"In a manner of speaking, yes." Charming answered her. "The way dragons work, it's all or nothing. Much like I could always access my dragon side again if I ever wanted to, however painful it might be, you can have access to your dragon side." Charming explained to her.

"We had always planned on giving you the option when you turned eighteen. But with everything that happened, we never had the chance. When the curse broke, you already had so much to take in we figured telling you that you could be a dragon if you really wanted seemed a bit much." Snow added. Snow sighed, This was all such a mess. Charming squeezed Snow's shoulder comfortingly. Emma's eyes narrowed.

"There's something you're not telling me." Emma said. "What are you hiding from me?" Emma asked. Snow and Charming shared a silent conversation. Maybe Emma had a right to know.

"We didn't get a lot of time to prepare for Regina's curse." Charming began to explain. "If we did have more time, we might have been able to create more powerful wardrobe, get all of us through. Heck, we might have been able to stop her completely. We would have had a shot…if it wasn't for my mother."

"Your mother?" Emma asked. "How did she affect you stopping Regina?"

"When your grandmother found out we were expecting you, she became obsessed. It was like she felt you were her second chance. A second shot at having a child that enjoyed being dark like her. She wanted a dragon child, and she decided that you would do nicely. She was planning on kidnapping you as soon as you were born." Snow explained. Emma didn't know how to feel. She had already dealt with a lot today.

"It took us so long to stop my mother that we didn't have enough time left to focus on stopping Regina. That's why only you went through that wardrobe." Charming said. He would never fully forgive his mother for that.

"It seems she hasn't completely given up that vendetta." Snow sighed. "That's why she took you as well as Neal today. She took Charming to make a point, and she took Henry because she knew you would never even try to stay if he wasn't with you. The dragon side of him is too diluted to ever allow him to access it. She could have just tried to take Neal, but she has a point to prove with you." Snow tried to explain. She then approached Emma and closely examined her hands. She winced, filling with fury at Maleficent. Charming had filled her in on everything that had happened before she arrived. She knew that Maleficent had essentially choked her daughter. That it was only her father stepping in that had stopped her. "You ok?" Snow asked her. "We can take you to the hospital to get checked over if you want." Snow offered. Emma shook her head.

"No, I'm fine." Emma assured them both. Snow and Charming weren't convinced.

"Ok, but bedrest." Charming said, his voice making it clear there was no room for buts. Emma rolled her eyes, but didn't argue. She knew better than to try when her dad used that tone. She settled down on the couch. Snow moved some of her hair behind her ear.

"She won't come near you again." Snow promised her. "We won't let her." Emma just nodded. She wasn't worried about Maleficent coming back. She was more worried for Maleficent if she was stupid enough to come back.
