AN: I know this is a really long one, I don't know how you feel about it but I couldn't really find any other way to split it up. There's a small price of Tiva in this chapter so I hope you enjoy it. I got my A Level results, they aren't as good as I hoped but I'm off to study Forensic Science at my first choice uni! :)

L'hitraot - See you soon

Ziva and Gibbs met at the hospital at 0800 hours, ready for the intense but hopefully productive day that lay before them. Gibbs had already warned Ziva that if she got upset she was to take a break to prevent another incident like yesterday.

They both had some downtime with Eliana before Dr Moore arrived. It was mainly Ziva talking to Eliana about their jobs at NCIS, Eliana perked up a bit when Ziva explained McGee, Ducky, Palmer and Abby's jobs, it appeared that Lia liked science.

"Good morning Eliana, how are you today?" Asked Dr Moore as she walked in. Ziva translated and Eliana shrugged her shoulders.

The doctor then asked Eliana if she was in any pain, Lia looked around the room nervously, Ziva comforted Eliana, assuring her that it was okay to ask for help and to be in pain regardless of what she had been told in the past. Eventually, Eliana nodded her head and after more questions, it was established that Eliana's head, tummy, chest, shoulders and ribs all hurt.

"Eliana, do your legs or feet hurt at all?" Asked the doctor, Eliana shook her head in response. Everyone in the room looked concerned at this, with third-degree burns covering the soles of her feet, she should definitely be in pain.

Eliana's face dropped, she knew she had given them the wrong answer, maybe they didn't want her to be honest after all! Suddenly her eyes rolled back into her head and her hands clenched into fists, she was having an absence seizure. Dr Moore explained that they had started Eliana on Lamotrigine, an anti-epileptic drug or AED because the seizures had not calmed since Eliana had regained consciousness. There was nothing anyone could do except wait for Lia to come round, when she did Ziva assured her that they wanted the truth, even if it wasn't easy to hear.

The doctor then began a physical exam of Eliana's legs trying to ascertain whether there were any reflexes or movement and where sensation began. Eliana's reflexes were all working but she had no feeling below her hips and couldn't move her legs. Ziva, Gibbs and Lia were informed that this was a good sign because it meant that there was a possibility of Eliana learning to walk again.

The three then let Eliana have a rest so Gibbs and Ziva took the opportunity to ring Tony and Tim for an update. Tony and McGee had managed to follow traffic cams all the way back to the airport at Baltimore and were currently in the process of matching photos to every person who has boarded a flight in the last week. The process was long but would hopefully lead them to Ofe, Gurion and Dahan so they could be brought to justice.

Dr Moore returned to Eliana's room followed by Ziva and Gibbs. The next goal was to try and work out what had happened to Eliana with the aim of establishing the extent of psychological damage and any other internal injuries that had not yet been discovered.

Ziva translated Dr Moore's question about whether or not Eliana remembered how she ended up in hospital. Eliana's eyes glazed over but she nodded slowly, Dr Moore pushed for more information. Eliana was unsure how to answer this question with her limited knowledge of ASL so she decided to finger spell the name "Dimitri Remizov". Gibbs reached for a pen to write the name down, he looked at Ziva with a concerned face, both knew the man to be a human trafficker and were eager to know how Eliana was connected to him.

Eliana thought about her response carefully knowing that she was going to have to betray her father or Mossad and proceeded to fingerspell 'Mossad', deciding it would be more ambiguous. Ziva nodded and asked when Mossad sent her to Dimitri Remizov, Eliana put three fingers up and Ziva clarified that Eliana had been there for three weeks, but Lia shook her head, and Ziva sighed when she worked out Eliana meant three years. Ziva then asked if Eliana remembered what happened after she left Dimitri Remizov.

At this point her eyes glazed over, suddenly Eliana was back in the basement. She was tied with her arms above her head and her toes just able to touch the floor. The door opened and she suddenly collapsed on the floor, the relief from the pain in her shoulders was short-lived as she was tied to a chair. Someone was tieing a wire around her chest and torso, Eliana knew what was coming and tried to fight the restraints to avoid the electric shocks.

"Where is Dimitri Remizov's second résidence?" Shouted Ofe at Eliana, unbeknownst to him, Eliana could not have told him the answer even if she wanted to because her hands were bound so she couldn't sign and she was unable to speak.

"Charge the battery, she's playing with us, she'll answer after this shock!" Said Gurion. Eliana braves herself for the pain.

"Lia, Lia, look at me." Lia heard a nickname that hadn't been used in years and opened her eyes only to find herself in a hospital. Ziva and Dr Moore looked at Eliana with concern. Dr Moore noted that Eliana was showing signs of PTSD and then suggested another break whilst Eliana had a feed.

Ziva and Gibbs both left the room, Ziva was fuming with her father and she began to attack a wall as soon as she was out of Eliana's eyeshot. Gibbs jogged up to her and tried to comfort Ziva.

"Mossad, the agency her father is director of sent her to live with a known child trafficker. He kidnapped her from Jenny, trained her for Mossad then left her. I know my father, he doesn't forget about people on missions, he deliberately left her there for three years! He didn't bother to try and help her but when she got away he wanted the intel and tried to get her back, that's what Ofe, Gurion and Dahan wanted her for. I will kill him!" Exclaimed Ziva, allowing tears to flow freely.

Gibbs rang Tony and told him to come down to the hospital, not only would Tony be able to take the new info back to the office to work on, he was most likely to be of comfort to Ziva. Gibbs wasn't blind to love; he knew Tony and Ziva had fallen for each other and he hadn't stopped them because he could see how good they were for each other.

In the meantime Gibbs tried to reason with Ziva, she wasn't joking when she threatened to kill him. Gibbs did wonder whether this would be the last of Eli's second chances Ziva had given him. Gibbs was furious too but reasoned that Eli needed to pay for his mistakes and not get the easy way out. Eli could also hold the key to helping Lia get better, only he knew exactly what he had done to Eliana.

"DiNozzo! Notes from this morning, take Ziva for lunch, she's angry with Eli so look out for her." Gibbs gave his senior field agent a pat on the back.

Tony was confused with that, his boss, the almighty Leroy Jethro Gibbs has just told him to take Ziva out for lunch! Gibbs himself had just broken Gibbs's rule 12. Tony wasn't moaning, he loved Ziva, in fact he the reason he hadn't asked Ziva on a date yet was because he loved Ziva so much he didn't want to risk hurting her like he had with Rivkin. Tony was afraid to let emotions get in the way with Ziva again even if it meant he was never truly happy.

"Ziva, Gibbs told us to go and get lunch. Fancy something from Shamir's deli?" He asked Ziva

Ziva nodded and let Tony lead her away to the small deli that served several dishes from Israel. It had been a go to for comfort food in the days after Ziva was rescued from Somalia.

Tony ordered two falafel pita's and then joined Ziva at a table outside the small shop. The sun fell on Ziva in such a way that her skin was glowing, her hair falling in thick luscious curls, similar to Eliana's. Tony smiled, Ziva really did look beautiful, he could see that she was tired and her mind was elsewhere. Tony didn't try to make small talk knowing that until Ziva had mulled over what to do about Eli there would be no point. Instead he asked if there was anything he could do to help.

"I am trying to convince myself that my father did not mean to hurt me, Eliana, Tali or Ari but I cannot get over the fact that he did hurt us and he did not learn from his mistakes. I want to be the best sister to Eliana but I am trapped in feeling angry". Explained Ziva, she had finally learned the importance of allowing herself to feel and talk about her emotions after Somalia.

"Well I don't know much about being a good sibling but McGee has a sister, maybe you should talk to him. I think Eliana needs to be the focus now rather than Eli, your the only blood family she has in DC. Jenny has no living family and Gibbs isn't blood related."

Ziva smiled at Tony, he always knew the right things to say and could read Ziva like a book. Tony knew how to be exactly what Ziva needed whether that was a friend, a shoulder to cry on or something a little more. Ziva didn't want to ruin the relationship they had rebuilt after Somalia, lots of people had been hurt and Ziva had now forgiven Tony.

They spent the rest of lunch in a comfortable silence until Tony announced that Gibbs would have his head if Ziva wasn't back at the hospital by 1300 hours.

Ducky was to join Ziva and Gibbs at the hospital because Dr Moore was making a treatment plan. Firstly Dr Moore suggested asking physical therapy to start to help Eliana gain some strength in her arms to help with daily living tasks. PT should also help prevent loss of muscle from Eliana lying down immobile for so long and eventually PT would help Eliana learn to walk again, once the burns on her feet were healed enough to allow it.

Ziva explained this to Lia. Dr Moore continued by saying that speech and language therapy would start tomorrow, they had secured a SALT therapist that spoke a little Hebrew to help the process. Eliana looked terrified at this suggestion once Ziva had explained it to her. Ziva asked why and Eliana explained that Eli told her she should never speak.

"That brings me on to psychological therapy. I am in the process of finding a psychologist who speaks Hebrew to work with Eliana, as of yet I haven't found anyone, we may have to use a translator until Eliana has learned sufficient English." Explained Dr Moore.

Ducky confirmed that the plan seemed comprehensive but was concerned about possible obstacles that could arise in Eliana's journey to recovery. Dr Moore agreed that there were many obstacles and that closer to a discharge date there would be extensive input from occupational therapists. She was also concerned that Eliana's oxygen saturation was still low despite oxygen therapy and that they were still investigating possible causes for this.

Ducky, Dr Moore and Gibbs then went to sign consent for treatment forms, giving Ziva and Eliana some time together. Ziva told Eliana that she had done well in answering so many questions, Lia gave a small smile.

Ziva asked Eliana if there was anything she wanted, a book to read, DVDs or colouring pages. Eliana looked down at her hands and Ziva gave her the pen and notebook to write down any requests. Eliana wrote that she wanted to understand English. Ziva smiled at Eliana and offered to teach her some English, Ziva also offered to get a book for Eliana that would help Eliana learn English. Eliana's eyes began to flutter as though she was about to fall asleep. Ziva thoughtfully asked for permission then gave Eliana a kiss on the forehead.

"L'hitraot," whispered Ziva and she left to find a book for Eliana that would help her learn English.

Ziva and Gibbs headed back to the navy yard to see how Tony and McGee had got on with the case.
