INTRIGUES AND LIES, POISONS OF ROMANCE
While Don David talked to Leonard, Kurt and Blaine about his plan to get Nick and Jeff together in a romance, in another part of Dalton's Villa, Dom Sebastian and Hunter are talking.
"Is it a fact that Count Kurt is going to marry Leonard's son?" Don Sebastian asked uncomfortably. "Yes, my lord, but I can prevent this marriage, if it pleases you." Hunter replied with a sly smile on his face.
Don Sebastian, intrigued by Hunter's response, says with venom in the words "Any barrier, any obstacle, any impediment will serve me as a cordial. I suffer from the displeasure that he causes me, and anything that contradicts his desires and aspirations will be, for me, a pleasure. How can you prevent this marriage? " and, leaning towards his colleague, encourages Hunter to tell his plans.
With a diabolical air, Hunter begins to tell his plan "It will not be by honest means, my lord, but in such a well done and hidden way that no dishonesty can be discovered or suspected."
"Tell me in a nutshell how this will be possible." Don Sebastian instigates Hunter, who continues to say, "If my memory serves me correctly, a year ago I told Your Lordship that I had fallen in love and made friends with Wes, the tutor and friend of young Blaine." Don Sebastian in turn, signaling for Hunter to continue, agrees "I remember that."
Feeling Don Sebastian's confirmation as an invitation to pursue his idea, Hunter continues, "I can make him, at any inconvenient time of the night, appear at young Blaine's bedroom window, and take advantage of the fact that from a distance they both look alike. "
Still intrigued and doubtful about Hunter's plan, Don Sebastian asks him "And what life is there in all of this that can cause the death of this marriage?", And Hunter in turn, even more Machiavellian than at the beginning "It will depend only on you mix it with the poison that you think is best. " And looking directly into Don Sebastian's eyes, Hunter says firmly, "Seek the prince, your brother. Do not spare words or examples when you show him how much he dishonors himself by promoting the marriage of the famous, honorable and young Kurt, with a disqualified and unfaithful like Blaine. "
Don Sebastian starting to show interest in the story that Hunter described so clearly, insists "And what evidence can you present, my dear Hunter?" And with a devilish smile, Hunter replies "Sufficient evidence to deceive the prince, mortify Kurt, dishonor Blaine and ruin Mr. Leonard. Do you want more, yet? "
Liking what was promised in his mind, don Sebastian slaps Hunter on the back and with an air of satisfaction says "Once it is to mortify them, I will use every possible means."
Hunter, happy to be of service to his lord, says with satisfaction, "Well done, my lord. Then, arrange a favorable time to talk alone with your brother and Count Kurt, and tell them that you are sure that Blaine and I have a secret romance. Show concern for both the person of the prince and Kurt, confessing to both that you are only revealing this fact because of the interest that arouses the honor of your brother, promoter of such a connection, and the reputation of his friends, whose trust is being betrayed by a creature without morals. Without proof, they are unlikely to give you credit, so you will tell them that you have learned something that can prove what you say. The fact will be that, after all, when they see me at the window of Blaine's room and when they hear me give Blaine's name to Wes and, in turn, Wes accept my actions, they will believe. Arrange things for them to see this on the eve of the wedding, because in the meantime I will see to it that Blaine is absent, and the evidence of his disloyalty must seem so credible that the suspicion will become certain and all projects will be rendered useless. "
Totally satisfied with the action plan, Don Sebastian nods and claps his hands, saying "I will put this plan into practice, however serious its consequences may be. If you are astute in your execution, you will receive a generous reward. " And Hunter, for his part, happy to hear of the reward added to Don Sebastian's gratitude, says to the lord "Be constant in your accusation, that my usual cunning will not embarrass me."
"I'll already know what day the wedding was scheduled for." Don Sebastian says with all interest in putting Hunter's plan into practice.
