Postive or negative

Dutchwriter asked for a oneshot of Emma taking a pregnancy test and Snow having to look to see if it's positive or not.

SeaweedBrain: Sorry, I don't write CaptainSwan.

"Well?" Snow called from the other side of the bathroom door. Emma bit her lip, her legs bouncing nervously.

"Eh, it's not done anything yet!" The sixteen year old called back through. Snow sighed and rubbed her temple. This wasn't how she imagined things going with her daughter. Not only would she be showing Charming his fully grown daughter when Emma eventually broke the curse, she could potentially have a twelve year old grandchild for him too.

"Emma, it's been three minutes since you peed. What you actually mean is you're too scared to look. Open the door. Let me help you." Snow pleaded with her. Emma sighed. Her mom was right. She just couldn't do this alone. She got herself sorted and opened up the door. Snow plucked the test out of Emma's hand. Emma scrunched her face up.

"Don't you want to get a tissue to hold that with or something?" Emma suggested.

"You've peed directly onto me before, Emma, this is nothing. I'll wash my hands afterwards." Snow reminded her. She fixed her daughter with a loving look. In a moment, Emma's life might be changed forever. "Are you ready?" Snow asked her. Emma nodded, although she was shaking like a leaf. She wasn't ready to be a mother, but she might have little choice. Snow wasn't feeling too hot herself as she slowly looked down at the pregnancy test in her hand. She swallowed hard, moving her fingers so she could see the result. Snow then looked back up at Emma.

"Negative." She told her. "You're not pregnant, Em." Snow told her. Emma felt a wave of relief wash over her. Snow put the test down and pulled Emma into a hug. This was a real kick up the backside that Emma desperately needed.

"Now, I know you get all squeamish when I talk about this, but you need to hear it. Emma, if you're going to be sexually active you need to make sure it's protected. Otherwise, next time, this might be positive. This is your chance, Emma. Sort yourself out. You've got a job to do." Emma bit her lip. Now wasn't the time for an argument with her mother over this whole curse nonsense. How long did her mom think she would put up with it. The curse wasn't real, her father wasn't under the rule of some Evil Queen, he'd just left. A lucky break with a pregnancy test didn't change that.
