How much longer?

avc.382 asked for a oneshot of the Charmings on a long car ride and Emma continually asks if they're close. Even Neal is behaving better than her.

"Are we-"

"No." Both parents sighed before Emma even finished her question. She'd asked the same question at least two dozen times already, and they'd only been in the car a couple of hours. Neal had fussed for maybe the first fifteen minutes, but had fallen asleep soon after. No such luck with Emma. It seemed she wasn't the best passenger to have in a car. When she wasn't driving, she bored easily.

The Charmings had decided to take a little holiday for the first time as a family. Unfortunately, Henry was already away at summer camp, otherwise he'd be there too. Neither Snow or Charming were keen on flying, having never been on a plane before. So it was decided they would take a road trip down the East Coast and eventually hit Florida. They figured it was about time Emma got taken to Disneyland. As much as Emma was excited for the holiday, she was regretting not bringing more car-friendly entertainment. Even more, she was regretting not charging up her portable charger.

"Let's play a game." Snow said, using the same forced calm tone she used when her class were driving her up the wall. "I spy with my little eye, something beginning with…"

"B, boring." Emma grumbled from the backseat. Snow and Charming exchanged raised eyebrows. Did they have a thirty year old in this car, or had she been replaced by a thirteen year old?

"Well, here's a game for you then if you don't like I spy." Charming began. Emma rolled her eyes, expecting him to say something like the minister's cat or twenty questions. "This game is called the quiet game. If you make it to North Carolina without asking if we're nearly there, you win. If you win, you don't get chucked out the car before we make it to Disney. Hooray!" Charming explained. Snow stifled her laughter as Emma huffed in the backseat. Snow would bet she wouldn't feel so huffy when they got a churro in her hand. Then the drive would be worth it.
